What a lovely picnic basket

Who: Fai (little and big versions), Syaoran and later possibly an appearance by Johnny!
When: Wednesday the 3rd
Where: Various places in Vatheon and the beach
What: A picnic on the beach and then house hunting
Status: Closed.

The day dawned a little overcast outside the bubble but that didn't deter Fai at all as he got the picnic basket ready for the little outing that his housemates had been planning for awhile. They all needed to get out and have a little fun and so he decided to take them up to the beach.

As he places the last few sandwiches into the basket he shouts towards the bedrooms, "Time to go~"

He knew they were just finishing gathering the items for the picnic so it wouldn't take long for them to be ready. "You might want to pack a jacket and an umbrella in case the weather on the beach is cooler." Fai had to make sure his young companions didn't catch a cold in case the temperatures outside drop or the sky decides to open up.

He carries the basket over and sets it on the stand by the door as he waits for the other two.

It didn't take long for the first of them to appear, bag filled with whatever supplies they might need slung carefully over his shoulder, including a blanket for them to sit on so, hopefully, the sand wouldn't end up clinging to their clothes quite so badly. He turned back a moment later, however retreating back into the room he had just came from, grabbing a a jacket as instructed, but deciding against the umbrella. The jacket would keep him dry enough should the need arise, and if it didn't, it was much easier to carry that the umbrella.

And if he did happen to catch a cold, he would take full responsibility for it. And more than likely endure more of Fai's mothering.

Not long after the younger Fai shuffles excitedly out of the bedroom he shared with his twin with a small satchel at his side. This would be his first time going up to the island and his first time seeing a beach, so the boy had been quite looking forward to today's outing. He was sure to pack both the things his brother had recommended, even though he had his doubts about the strange collapsible umbrella one of the locals had given him. How could such a thing so small unfold enough to serve it's purpose?

He most certainly didn't want to get sick and be a bother to the rest of the apartment, especially if his sibling or Johnny were to fuss over him.

He had never seen an actual beach before either, at least not one in the traditional sense. He had certainly seen vast amounts of sand before, having spent seven years growing up in Clow. It would be a nice reminder of home and would, hopefully, bring back happy memories of the times he had spent exploring with the princess.

"Ready." There's a small nod and a soft smile as he adjust the strap on the bag, moving the weight of it to rest more comfortably on his shoulder. "Hopefully the weather will change for the better once we're there. It's a shame it's not more sunny."

"Me too," he adds with a nod of his own. Unconsciously he gravitates towards the elder Fai, still a little uneasy in the presence of Syaoran. He knows he has no reason to be afraid of the other given his relationship with Fai's brother, but that weariness of others is something he'll be fighting for a while yet.

"I don't mind, as long as it doesn't rain." Even then, the only weather he really doesn't want to see is snow. He hopes that whoever told him it doesn't snow in Vatheon had told the truth.

That touch alone calms him a great deal and he doesn't object to being herded out. His brother was the one who knew what he was doing, after all. Fai had barely dared to venture much outside their home with everything that had been happening. This was a big step.

While he kept walking forward the boy looked back to his twin and asked "Is the island still damaged from the battle?"
