Nngh...did I go and get myself hacked again? The nerve of that guy...

[A robot in a school uniform with white blouse and houndstooth skirt frowns, slowly getting up from the ground. This place is unfamiliar to her, and she can't figure out where it is in regards to her last location.]

Mitsuru-san? You around?

[Or maybe possibly...]

Yu? Chie? Teddie? Anybody?

[She's worried. Without her friends, what will people think of her? Are they gonna try to take her away? Shut her down because she's dangerous?

No. She's gonna stand up for herself. She's more than a weapon.]

This? [He raises his arms, gesturing to the whole of Vatheon.] This is Vatheon, a city under the sea's surface. It's kind of sudden, but you can say that you were brought here for a pretty special purpose -- we all were.

A city under the sea... [She never thought it possible. But here it is, and humans can live in it just fine.]

What purpose is that?

Well, see, [and he points up, then to the mass of coral nearby,] there's a barrier surrounding this place, and it's powered by that coral over there. We're something like its power source 'cause it draws that energy from us.

[He examines Labrys.]

If you ever feel tired for no reason, just touch it. You'll be blown by what a single touch can do!

Well, ain't that something. [She smiles. The coral is really beautiful. Maybe she should touch it later to test her hypothesis that it might repair any damage her system may have overlooked during its scan.]

Say, have you seen a pretty lady walkin' around in a big, white, furry coat? Or a guy in a cape with a buncha scars all over him? I'm supposed to be with'em.

[He nods to that -- the coral makes quite an impressive force. Then he bows his head, thinking, and shakes his head with an apologetic shrug.]

Don't think I've seen any two like that. What're their names? Vatheon's a bit big, but lucky for us, we've got a directory of people like us right on hand!

[With that, he retrieves his communicator from his pocket, flashing the screen her way.

[Oh, she saw something like that when she woke up nearby.]

That looks pretty handy! I saw one lying around back there. Hope nobody's missing it. Mitsuru Kirijo and Akihiko Sanada. Maybe my sister's in there too? Her name's Aigis.

. . . uh, maybe that was yours. You should have one, too. [He can't blame her for abandoning it if that were the case, though. Anybody considerate enough wouldn't claim it for himself without being told.]

Let's go pick it up in case someone did lose it. [And in the meantime,] I'll look for their names.

Mine? [She follows the boy, rushing over to pluck the SFC off of the ground when she spots it. It has a similar color scheme to her outfit, but she won't jump to conclusions.]

How can ya tell if it's yours?

[Kurow looks up at the SFC she's holding, then to Labris.]

[With that said, he lifts his own communicator again, flashing the screen.]

By the way, I got two of your names. Mitsuru and Akihiko, right? I don't see Aigis, though.

Yeah! That's them! She points. Mitsuru Kirijo and Akihiko Sanada! They must've shown up before me.

[He nods, then gestures to her own SFC.]
