[So after a "rough" day on the town being fed and pampered by strangers, Kuro felt it was time to head back to Rin's house with the hope he would be there by now. He had come by earlier, but alas no one was home.

Yet when he got there Rin was still nowhere to be seen. Feeling a little dejected by this he goes through the hallways until he catches a familiar smell and follows it into a bedroom. Oh yeah, this was definitely Rin's room. Well he could wait for him here, right? No sense in leaving again when he could just take a nap on Rin's pillow.

Which is exactly what he does. Aurelio joins him a little later, but Kuro doesn't mind the company.]

[What. A. Night. After the dinner rush, the surprise of Yukio showing up, Yukio then managing to go off and nearly become a late night snack for Rin's coworker... seriously, what else could go wrong?

At least that's what Rin was asking himself as he dragged Yukio back through the apartment door and promptly shoved him in to the guest bedroom, muttering something about "get some damn sleep already..." before shuffling off to his own bedroom.

Yawning, running a hand through his already mussed hair, he opened the door with every intention of collapsing for the night with hopes that his girlfriend would join him eventually.

He stopped, though, glancing at the bed with a tired raised eyebrow.

That wasn't Blair curled up with Aurelio. That was--]

Kuro?!

[He suddenly perks up, both ears attentive. Seeing Rin he moves off the pillow and starts for him, but slows down to stretch himself out first. It would be unnatural not to stretch after a nap!

'Rin! I knew you were here!' Okay stretching done, time to leap into Rin's arms as a purring mess.

'I've missed you!']

Oh man! Kuro! You're here too! This is great!

[Aurelio looked a bit irritated as he was woken up, but it didn't last long as he simply blinked a few times and went back to sleep.

Rin caught Kuro easily, hugging his familiar tightly with a sound that was very close to a happy squeal.]

I missed you so much, buddy!

[He just continues to purr against him, nuzzling his face.

'I didn't know where you went, but Blair told me you lived here!' Nuzzle nuzzle. 'Who else is here, Rin? I haven't seen anyone else anywhere!']

Yukio just got here today! .. and Mephisto, but whatever. So far it's just us.

[Rin pets Kuro happily, sitting down on the bed so he doesn't have to stay on his feet for it.]

Sorry... if I had any way of tellin' you where I was, I woulda. Vatheon is just weird like that.

['... Huh?' Was it really? But... He goes quiet for a small moment, ears falling back before he butts his head under Rin's chin playfully.

'It's alright! I met a lot of people here and some of them even gave me food! It was pretty great.']

Oh, well, sounds like you had a great first day here. Sure as hell better than Yukio's!

[Rin sounds a little bitter at that. Why in the hell was Yukio the one running off and getting in to trouble?!

Oh. Right. Because apparently becoming Paladin made him danger-stupid or something. Geez...]

[He perked his ears at that. 'What happened to Yukio? Is he okay?']

Well uh... one'a my coworkers is kinda... a vampire. And Vatheon gets some pretty weird curses sometimes, so I guess this one made him really, really hungry. Yukio tried to help him out and kinda got chewed on instead.

[Rin explains this while rubbing the back of his neck a little. The whole damn thing is pretty messed up, but if it hadn't been for Yukio going off he wouldn't even have given a thought to it.]

[D: D: D: 'Is he going to be alright? Where is he? What happened to the vampire?' He has his paws resting on Rin's chest as he stares up at him, ears and tails alert.]

He's in the guest room. ... well, I guess it's his room now. But yeah, he's fine. Probably be even better after some sleep.

I managed to get Fai to back off, but he'll probably be lickin' his wounds for a while and feelin' pretty bad about what he did. He ain't normally like that...

[Sure was a long day of inexplicably running into people that know the boyfriend as well as the usual schedule of school and self-inflicted learning. It's about this time that Maka trudges into the room, only vaguely aware of the fact that Rin was talking to somebody (probably baby-talking Aurelio again). She stops and takes one look at Rin holding the two-tailed cat, blinks slowly and moves on to the other side of the bed.]

I didn't know we were switching sides, Rin.

Huh? ... we're not. I'm just talkin' to Kuro.

[Rin holds up the cat.]

Maka, this is my familiar, Kuro. Kuro, this is my girlfriend Maka. You can talk to him, by the way, I'll just have to answer for him.

[He flicks his ear as he listens to Rin talk. 'I'm sure they'll both be alright. If it was because of a curse then he didn't mean to hurt Yukio and Yukio was only trying to help!' He nods to himself. 'Yeah, they'll be alright!'

Oh, hey Maka. Kuro perks up both ears when she comes in and waves a paw at her when Rin introduces him. 'Hi Maka! Wow, Rin she's really pretty!'

Ahh, he's so cute! Hi there, Kuro! [Oh sure, she can wake up enough to go over and scratch Kuro's head but not enough to give her boyfriend a hello, good job Maka.]

But I didn't know you could speak cat, Rin.
