[Akihiko was not going to let a giant black bowling ball prevent him from celebrating Shinjiro's birthday. Even if it did mean celebrating it later than originally planned. Organzing a party wasn't too hard; most of SEES seemed excited about the idea and willing to help out. There was a cake and presents, and even a few surprises (that Akihiko hoped would keep that way until the right time).]

I don't think he's gone out today. There weren't any flower petals on the floor when I had breakfast this morning. We'll surprise him when he comes down.

[Akihiko was weirded out by Shinjiro's strange new 'power' at first, but he figured it wasn't too bad. After all, it helped during the battle. He didn't expect it would linger, though. At least they'd know where he'd been.]

[Snerk. To be honest, Yukari hadn't really had a chance to tease him about the ability yet, so she's glad they're doing this. Though mostly, she's glad they actually get a chance to celebrate Shinji's birthday.

She's sure Akihiko feels the same.]

Guess they're a pretty good indicator. Does he usually sleep this long?

I'm not sure. But that battle was pretty crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if he's exhausted.

[Her voice trails off there, probably out of guilt because she wasn't there herself. She should have been, though admittedly, she didn't think she was needed at first...

Ah. But she shakes her head.

She's not surprised either that he'd sleep a long time after that, though she always worries. Especially considering the stupid sleep comas this place can send you in.]

Oh. Did you get him a present?

Oh, you know senpai, Yukari-chan. [She drops her voice down low.] Tch...! He wakes up when he wants...!

[Akihiko eyes the cakes as well. There are so many of them, and nicely decorated. He's not really a fan of sweets, but he'll try a little.]

[The clean up is kind of a drag, but Yukari has to admit, it adds life to the dorm in a way she hadn't expected.]

[If this was a movie or a game, now would be the part where the camera dramatically pans up to show exactly what Shinjiro was doing and...

[Akihiko and Mitsuru probably remember how he had five alarm clocks just to be able to wake up for school. Considering there's none close to his bed right now, it's a lost battle. At least until probably noon or one in the afternoon.]

[...oh and there's a bunch of wildflowers near the floor. How do they manage to stay rooted like that is anyone's guess but he's gonna be annoyed when he wakes up.]

[Eventually, they're all left wondering where Shinji could possibly be. But Minato, being badass in courage, takes one for the team and goes searching.

Upon the main floor did one(1) Shinjiro Aragaki finally descend, his face covered in bruises from...who knew what (you may have heard the fighting going on actually). He is muttering something as he rubs his elbow where more of Aki's punching found their mark. There are...a lot less flowers appearing behind him now that he's just walking, but once in a while a small patch of grass with a rose or three will sneak up.

Those that know him well, will recognize the typical Shinjiro behavior, that is not acknowledge much of what is going on, glaring and just being grumpy. He's already leaning on a wall instead of standing in the middle.

...but he does look at the giant dog a little longer than he should have.]

[...Just. Not even gonna comment on the fact that he looks totally beat up. Yukari is happy to see him, though, so when she sees the three of them coming down the stairs, she'll stand up to greet everyone-- especially the birthday boy himself.]

You guys took a while.

[There's a teasing smirk in her voice, and there may also be a present in her hand.
