[Amaterasu's journey home meant a lot. She returned, finished off Yami, and ascended to the Celestial Plain. She stayed there, restoring it, and sent her son to Nippon when it was in danger yet again, so that she could continue to repair the damage to the heavens.

One of the things she was definitely not expecting? Showing back up in Vatheon! She looks around, surprised, and shakes her fur dry. She's got a much healthier glow to her than before, and those who believe in gods can easily see her more elegant markings of divinity. In fact, after the whole ordeal, many people who didn't believe in gods may be seeing more than usual!

Ammy is definitely interested in meeting back up with everyone and seeing if they're alright. Though it's been a few years for her, everything looks exactly as it was. Wibbly wobbly timey-wimey? Hmm. The first order of business is to check her house, but she wastes no time in dashing through the streets, exploring all of the main areas, hoping to run into friends.]

[Rinoa is still on the mend from the battle with Yami. The scatter of bandages over her body, in particular a large one on her shoulder. She'll hit up the coral soon to see if it can help with the healing process. She's just been too tired in general to get out of the house.

She rubs her eyes as she turns a corner, attempting to force herself to stay awake. When she opens them, she spots Ammy trotting around, and she does a double take.

Is... she back? Really back?]

[Ammy turns around, surprised by the familiarity of that voice. Oh hey, it's Rinoa! She wags her tail, trotting right up. Oh, she looked pretty bruised-up though! Rinoa receives +1 worried look.]

It is you! You're back!

[Aw, don't be so concerned, Ammy! She's fine! Just a bit beat up. She meets Ammy halfway and gets to her knees to give the god a hug.]

[Ammy is totally okay with hugs, snuggling with Rinoa happily. She's glad you're okay!]

Mickey's still been confused about the whole ordeal, despite having been a player. But he was glad he was finally able to help, and had silently wished the dog well on her journey home. His beloved had gone home as well... maybe it was for the best. So his mood has been up, down, up, down.

Then he spots a familiar blaze of white - now mixed with red. he blinks once. Can it be? "... Hey, girl!"

[Man there is no one else that has that voice but Mickey! Ammy's quick to turn and excitedly go to the voice, knowing just who it was.]

Arf arf!

[That's definitely getting him into an 'up' mood. He grins, opening his arms.]

Awww, c'mere girl!

[He's been wandering around, just trying to get his head together after that whole ordeal. He spots a white blur down the street though, and jogs towards her.]

Hey there.

[Huh. She's back.]

[Huh? --Oh, she kind of recognizes this guy! He got one of the brush techniques, huh...]

[Yep. He kneels down and pets her on the head.]

I uh... I didn't get to thank you.

[Well this has been a very up and down week. First the stuff on the island, and then Ammy running off after it was all over, and then that text from Shing about going away for a while...

Rin isn't sure how to feel about it all, except maybe a little emotionally numb.

He's walking through the city slowly, head down and gaze distant, a backpack on his shoulders along with his sword and in his usual slacks and button down for work. Hes heading there early if only to get his mind off of things for a while, but after that he plans to go to Kohaku's to stay with her.

So naturally he's completely oblivious to the fact that a certain goddess is back in Vatheon. Some one should remedy this!]

[Rin! Oh hey, that's definitely one of the people she was actively looking for. She barks, running after him and nudging the backs of his legs excitedly.]

Arf arf!

[You got to be a god, and you did good, and she knew you were a good kid!]

Uwaah!

[Rin flails and very nearly goes faceplanting. He spins around and manages to regain his balance, but as soon as he does and sees who was responsible for it he practically starts flailing again.]

AMMY! You-you're back! You're--... you're really bright... But you're back!

[That's a surprise.]

[Mitsuhide blinks when Ammy comes into view, and raises a hand to his chin. She's come back, looking even more radiant than before. He had thought her free from Vatheon, but it seems that is not to be; such is both a sad thing and a thing he is glad for. Since that battle he has prayed a lot, but this is a lot more direct, isn't it?]

[So he approaches, still perhaps a little nervous, and addresses the Goddess.]

I... I wanted to see you again.

[He normally wouldn't just sit in the middle of the street, of course, but Mitsuhide does so now anyway, folding his legs beneath him.]

There is something I must apologise for.

[Oh hey, the warrior! Amaterasu wags her tail quietly, knowing that he'd probably want to pay respects first.]

[He smiles softly.]

I lost faith, for a while.

[Mitsuhide bows then, fully, so his forehead is touching the ground.]

I must apologise for that. It made me afraid of you, which is... ridiculous.

[Well, actually, he is still somewhat nervous (the whole thing regarding Demon Kings and treachery ensures that), but not fearful. It's an improvement.]

But watching you make the sun rise and banish the darkness gave my faith strength again.

[After all that happened over the previous days, Karkat has been sore and tired, in greater amount than his usual sleepless lifestyle accounts for. You don't just fight some weird, shelled incarnation of darkness on and off and get out with no hurts or loss of energy. For that matter, he has gotten a bit of sleep in rare circumstantial exception to his habits. But so long as he's healing up, he's making sure to keep up his regular coral visits.]

[Which is what would lead him to come across Amaterasu today. By now Karkat is back to his usual grey hues, of course, but the difference is that the experience has left him more than a bit more accepting to the presence of divinity. And not just the sugary candy. He had been told of her status before, but this whole fiasco is what nailed it in.]

[Tl;dr, Ammy's reunion with Karkat involves a bit of him staring at her markings.]

You're back already?

[The surprise is a pleasant one, at least.]

[Ammy's time away was a lot more expansive, so she's incredibly surprised to hear Karkat's voice. When she sees him, she runs right to him, nearly bowling him over from her excitement and enthusiasm.]

Arf arf! Arf!

[And if anything, Ammy's excitement is infectious, even to him. Even if it's a bit muted - he can't let his image be totally ruined, you know! He stumbles back a few steps before regaining stability, then crouches down to be more on her usual level. She may notice that the surprise on his face has melted into a sort of soft, warm relief.]

[She is also getting ear scritches.]

You did real great out there in that battle for us. I have zero clue how long it's been for you, but it's been like a day or so for us, and even in all my dickishness I would still be grateful if it had been longer. Not many people get that from me.

[Unaware of her return, Kurow is recuperating at Amaterasu's place when his ears pick up on the sound of someone entering. This warrants investigation, so he gets up -- augh, his body's still kind of sore from all the tossing around -- and hovers on to the source.

What he sees should have been entirely expected, but he looks a little surprised nonetheless.]

H-hey, you're back!

[That she is! She looks mighty impressive now, too!

But, uh. A little bit of awkwardness, now. She wasn't all that close to Waka before she boarded the Ark, but after the two of them made it to the Celestial Plain to restore it, and the whole deal, and then you which she barely knows anything about other than Chibi knows you...

...A little awkward. But Ammy eventually sets that aside and comes in for some affection, brushing her nose against the little mop of blonde hair.]

[Kurow slowly raises a hand to pet the side of Amaterasu's face. All of this is awkward. He's not really sure what to say after everything.]

You really don't beat around the bush, do you? Why'd you come back, anyway? You left through that gate, didn't you?

[It puzzles him how she even managed that.]

[Since the battle, Chibi had spent the majority of his time in the house. He's being a little selfish, he knows, it's not like he was heavily injured during the fight and needed time to recover. There were plenty of old friends to visit and new ones to make; all the new brush gods could surely have used his help the past couple days.

But... his momma went home. Surely he's allowed some time to mope about it.



Which is pretty much how Amaterasu will find him during her house check. He's curled up in her room, napping.]

[Ammy could have been quiet and subtle about it, and they could have had a very touching reunion, as the two of them met again...

Nope, she sees him in her room and just barks loudly to startle him.]

[What? What? Is it morning already? There's no way it's morning already, aaauuugh...

Chibi rolls over and yawns, successfully awakened but not 100% out of his sleepy stupor yet. Just give him five more minutes mom, okay?]
