Cotton Candy Creeper Moves In
Who: Szayel and everyone
Where: Patchwork Laboratory
When: August 6th
Style: Starting prose, but I'll match you.
Warnings: Szayel's a jerk... but that's about it right now.
Status: WIDE OPEN
Szayel had been rather absent from the center of attention that he always enjoyed, though it was out of necessity, of course. It hadn't taken long for him to find acceptable residence in the city -- the laboratory he now claimed as home was perfect for his perfection, of course. He could even deal with the outward "patchwork" image of the exterior; but the interior? That looked like it had been decorated by his boar of a brother, it was that disgusting.
Which was why, if an individual happened to pass by the Patchwork Laboratory, they would be able to see Szayel huffing and puffing, trying to push in an ornate dresser through the door. Unfortunately, it was just ever so slightly too big for the door way, and both the frame and the dresser were creaking in protest from the abuse. Szayel's feet kept slipping on the pavement in his effort, damn near coming close to falling over more than once. He was swearing up a storm before long, looking like he was going to smash the damn dresser after a few minutes of this.
Clearly, he needs to be bothered. Enjoy.

"More issues, I take it?"
no subject
"Where did you leave the dresser?"
no subject
He didn't think of a need to place it anywhere but nearby.

He pulled out a transformer and handed it off to Jade... not realizing the thing was actually very heavy.
"Hold onto that."
no subject
"Unfortunately, I--"
So, when Szayel dried to drop the item on Jade, two things happened. Firstly, Jade's uniform gloves ripped right off, shredded by a piece that'd caught the fabric.
Second, there was the sound of the transformer hitting the ground heavily and out of the corner of Szayel's eye he could likely see Jade dancing like a broken-footed duck out of the way of the transformer.
"Can't carry that sort of thing."
no subject
"I forget how fragile you humans are," he muttered under his breath, before standing up, going to catch Jade before he did a step that would lead to him humiliating himself.
"Did anything break?"
no subject
"Unfortunately so. Just organs and blood and such."

After a moment, Szayel picked up the transformer, dusting it off and making sure it was undamaged, before setting it down next to the unit.
"Fortunately, it seems some wires have corroded," he finally continued after a moment. "That's simple."
no subject
"Well, then. Let's fix it so we can get this over with and you can be moved in~"
no subject
He returned after a moment, stripping some older wire to be used and setting to work on the panel again. Another moment passed before the box was reassembled, and a soft hum was emitting from it as it was reconnected to power. Clearly, mad geniuses working together created awesome.
"Now, I'm raising the gate. Be prepare to move it."
And a few moments later, the door began to lift.
no subject
"There. That wasn't so hard~"
no subject
"As you humans say, you spoke far too soon."
no subject
This si why Jade doesn't really help people.
no subject
...
Damn fragile humans. Why do they have to be so damn useless?!
Szayel let out an exasperated sigh, going back into the lab to collect something to wake the poor man up. He was going to be that generous at least; he did get his dresser in the building.

Szayel returned after a moment, some salt in hand that, god willing, would be repugnant enough to wake Jade up. That, and the fact that he was just inches away from shoving them up his nose.
no subject
"Hmmng." Well, he was still working on that cognitive speech thing.

Nope, still getting there. Jade's trying to get back up, though, grasping a bar on the wall and pulling himself to his feet unsteadily. All noises are too loud at the moment. His hand is on his head.
"'M sure the gate is unimpressed." A bit sloppy, but he's getting there.
no subject
"I'm sure the gate wouldn't care either way," he replied dryly, standing up with Jade, though only offering a hand if the human wobbled in his direction. "However, I would have disliked scrubbing blood off of it so shortly after moving in."
no subject
"Well, it's good I didn't bleed all the place, then."
