Cotton Candy Creeper Moves In
Who: Szayel and everyone
Where: Patchwork Laboratory
When: August 6th
Style: Starting prose, but I'll match you.
Warnings: Szayel's a jerk... but that's about it right now.
Status: WIDE OPEN
Szayel had been rather absent from the center of attention that he always enjoyed, though it was out of necessity, of course. It hadn't taken long for him to find acceptable residence in the city -- the laboratory he now claimed as home was perfect for his perfection, of course. He could even deal with the outward "patchwork" image of the exterior; but the interior? That looked like it had been decorated by his boar of a brother, it was that disgusting.
Which was why, if an individual happened to pass by the Patchwork Laboratory, they would be able to see Szayel huffing and puffing, trying to push in an ornate dresser through the door. Unfortunately, it was just ever so slightly too big for the door way, and both the frame and the dresser were creaking in protest from the abuse. Szayel's feet kept slipping on the pavement in his effort, damn near coming close to falling over more than once. He was swearing up a storm before long, looking like he was going to smash the damn dresser after a few minutes of this.
Clearly, he needs to be bothered. Enjoy.

"I think you've misjudged the size." Judging by how wide the dresser was and about an inch of difference making it impossible.

"My calculations on the angle in which to push the dresser into the door were accurate. The damn thing is just being stubborn."

Jade tapped his finger to his chin. He had nothing better to do and Peony wasn't bound to wake up anytime soon as far as he knew.

"There is, but the control mechanism is entirely rusted. I will need to replace the entire thing."
I almost wrote 'Jack it up'

Hey, Jade's offering help, he never does this.

"...very well," he finally said. He turned toward the dresser, grabbing it and pulling it away from the door, lifting it up and settling it on the ground outside the lab as if it were made of paper.

Finally deciding to offer some help he walked up and gave the man a smile, "Have you tried removing the door from the frame to give yourself a couple more inches?"
no subject
"My calculations indicate that the angle I have the dresser at should allow it to pass through with minimal difficulty," he explained. "Obviously, the dresser is being stubborn."

Fai couldn't help but tease a little.

"Unless you have more useless suggestions, perhaps you should find someone else to be irritating to," he snapped.
no subject
"You clearly aren't going to get anywhere by continuing to push like that. You'll only get it stuck, or get yourself hurt. So wouldn't it be better to start over?"

So he'll watch a little. Never really one for manual labor. ]
Thinking to move in?
no subject
In the process of doing so, though obviously it is not without difficulty.
no subject
Evidently so. Perhaps you've underestimated the size of the door.
[ Dammit Stein why such small doors? ]
no subject
...It looks like you could use a hand there.
no subject
Really? Whatever made you come to that conclusion?
no subject
It's really not gonna fit that way, you know.
no subject
My, you are the observant one. Perhaps, then, you'd like to find a solution to this problem?
