Hot on the heels of....

Perhaps you notice the bushes near you are shaking. It is almost like the bushes have a mind of their own. After a moment, head pops out from one of the bushes. The head belongs to one Yachiru Kusajishi who seems to be searching for something. Looking rather displeased, she shakes her head to dislodge any leaves stuck in her hair before she climbs out of the bush and dusts off her clothes.

She moves on to the next bush and peers inside. After a moment, she hops into the bush to begin another search. After exiting the bush, she pulls out a twig and a flower from her hair. Peering at both items, she grins before dropping the twig and stuff the flower into her pocket. She dusts off her hands Looking rather determined, she goes on to search through the next bush, but not before lifting a rock the look underneath it.

Rinoa stands off to the side and watches as Yachiru searches.]

You need help with something?

[Well, better digging through the bushes than stealing fish, I think.

Hearing someone talking to her, Yachiru looks up and flails a bit. She points to her foot which seems to be missing a shoe]

Someone took my shoe! I was getting some flowers and I took of my shoes. When I came back, I only had one shoe.

That's weird. Where were you getting the flowers?

[She points to a little flower patch at a base of tree that it is a few feet away from the bushes]

I took 'em off 'cause they were the only pair of shoes I have. I had lots of other shoes, but someone took all my left shoes. Now, I have lots of right shoes.

Huh. [A... shoe thief? That or she misplaces things pretty easily.] Do you need help looking?

[...there is a little pair of eyes staring at him...]

[Szayel paused, turning around toward the offending bush and seeing it rustling. Curious, he shuffled closer, trying to peer past the leaves...]

[Suddenly, Yachiru's head pops up from out of the bush. Reaching up, she pulls a twig from her hair and blinks. Wait a minute, she recognizes this reiatsu, somewhat. Looking up, she stares at Szayel]

[Szayel let out a startled noise, jumping back. Pink hair -- stylish, of course -- but... shinigami robes, and a vice captain's badge?]

[Oh hey, he has pink hair just like her. Oh right, she has felt this energy before during the fight with Nnoitra]

[Tatsumi peeks curiously at Yachiru. What could the little girl be doing in the bushes? Maybe she lost something.]

Kusajishi-san? Is there something you need to find?

[Oh hey. It's Tsumi-kun. In a flash, she is stand next to him and nods while pointing to her foot.]

I'm looking for my shoe! Someone keeps taking them!

Uhuh! I got lots of shoes from the shoes place yesterday. They were really pretty. I lined them up, like you're supposed, yesterday, but when I woke up today half of them were gone...They keep taking the left shoes.

[Oh look, there's a golden retriever puppy exploring the bushes too ! And on the other end of the leash, there's a puzzled Asato.]

[She stops her searching for a moment because of the puppy in the bush. Giggling, she moves closer to attempt to pet the pup.]

Hi Zuzu!

[Cinnamon barks happily and lets her do, he loves the petting. Asato crouches beside them, totally oblivious of the new nickname.

Which means he doesn't mind it.]

What are you doing in the bushes ?

[Yachiru happily pets Cinnamon before giving him a nice little scratch behind the ears. After she finishes giving affection pat to the puppy, she looks at Asato]

I'm looking for my shoe! Someone took it.

Well, Tiir will just be stopping to watch her.]

[Yachiru is not bothered by the staring and continues to search the bushes until she spot Tiir]

Did you see a pink shoe? Someone took my shoe when I was picking flowers!

[He tilts his head.]

Someone... took your shoe? Was this while you were wearing it or no?

Umm, I took off my shoes 'cause the ground was really muddy. I put them next to the tree and when I came back from getting flowers my left shoe was gone.

[ . . . did that bush next to him just rustle? It must have been a small wildlife, but he can't imagine anything like a squirrel causing that much motion.

Staring for a little while longer, curiosity finally takes over, and Kurow floats slowly on over to the bush. He perches his hands on the top, easing the leaves apart -- ]

[Boo! Actually, Yachiru's head pops out from the bushes. Her face is covered by some dirt and her hair has several sticks and leaves sticking out]

[He's going to have nightmares about pink heads tonight.

Kurow bends backwards, his heart skipping a beat at the sudden emergence. He was expecting it, but not this, exactly. He spends a couple seconds being terrified out of his wits when he calms, noticing that the pink thing is, in fact, a human. oid.]

W-wait . . . a girl?

[She blinks at the scream and turns to face Kurow. Hey, why in the world was he screaming about, taking a quick peek at their surroundings since there was nothing around that was remotely scary]
