Funny now, the world is at your fingertips
Who: Charlie Pace and anyone~
Where: The plaza at the fountain
When: Foreward-dated to Wednesday morning
Style: Action
Status: Open
[He didn't use to be an early riser, but three months on the island had taught him to rise soon after the sun did and his body just wasn't willing to get over that one just yet.
He still wasn't too sure what to make of this place but it was nice enough and it wasn't like he had a way home.
So, with little else to do, he turned to his guitar. It was always a comfort for him back home and that was no different here. Granted, it wasn't his guitar, he'd gotten it when he'd arrived, but it was all he had.
He decided to settle on the edge of the fountain in the middle of the plaza and start to play. It was almost like when he'd play on street corners for money but minus the money, this time he was just doing it for fun.
he played a few Oasis songs and some Beatles before turning to his own songs including the one he'd never actually been able to record before his band dissolved.
He'd always had high hopes for Saved...but, well, things just hadn't panned out.
It was alright, though...he'd found something better, at least.
He figured he'd stay here a while, maybe break for lunch, and then move on. It depended on if he got an audience or not.]

[He stood nearby and listened anyway. This wasn't a kind of music he was used to hearing.]

Come by to listen? I take requests, you know.
[Still, he starts into a new song, a different one he'd been thinking about on the island, but only the chords part. He hadn't yet mastered the art of singing and holding a conversation at the same time, after all.]

[And considering he's probably not from his world, he probably doesn't know it. Oh well.]
I don't know a lot about music in generally, to be honest.
no subject
Oh, well, can't have that. Music is one of the most important things about living. You can do all sorts of things with it.

People tend to like listening to music, so if you can do it well enough then you'll make people happy.
That's why I play, anyway. Well, that and I just like playing.

So when a couple of children came running by, he didn't notice them until it was too late. One knocked squarely in to him and sent him falling back, the sketchbook tumbling out of his hands, sending all the loose papers in to the air.
Several sketches fluttered dangerously close to the fountain, right where a certain guitarist was sitting on the edge.]
Oh no... ! No no no, don't fall i--... n...
[And naturally, as soon as he said that, several went right down in to the water.]

I got them! Dunno if I saved them at all but...maybe once they dry? Sorry I couldn't catch them before.
no subject
Thank you... that's all I can really ask, I suppose. It was my fault for not binding my book more tightly.
[He takes them over to the side of the fountain's ledge and lays them out, hoping a bit of air will dry them eventually.]
It was lovely... what you were playing. What little bit I heard, anyway.
no subject
How long've you been drawing for? A while, I'd reckon.

[Pages laid out, Ioder steps back and looks at them, letting out a bit of a sigh. Well, there are worse things that could have happened...]
Yes, since I was little. There wasn't much to do when I was growing up, aside from study, read and draw. Or... stare out the window longingly, but that's just as boring as anything else.

But she's certainly not one to speak unless spoken to - especially with strangers - and she's quite happy just to stand and listen. No claps though.]
no subject
You alright, love?
no subject
[... She's not going to answer that though, instead posing her own question.]
Did you write these songs yourself?
no subject
Few of them, yeah. The last few, in fact.
no subject
no subject
Do you?

[She likes drawing more, even if she wouldn't consider herself an artist. Chidori wonders if it's easy to sing - or if she'd be any good at it in general. Probably not.]

Sure, everything happens for a reason, but sometimes you've got to take the initiative.
no subject
... At least, it used to be. Chidori'd hate to admit it but she'd changed back home because of that stupid guy and she pushes him from her mind. No place for him right now.]
Are you saying I should sing right now?
