[ The librarian's already starting to look at him funny. He's been in and out of the library so often for the past few days, just going out to eat before hopping back in again. There's already a mess of books on the ground mostly due to the fact that he couldn't really put them back after he managed to pull them from the higher shelves. However, they're stacked neatly at least and the books in the lower shelves have been put in the same order they were taken.

At the back of the library however, is a larger pile of books. Right in the middle is Mokona, busily flipping through volume after volume. At times, he giggles to himself. Other times, he's frowning and shaking his head. There are occasional punctuations of "No, not this" and "This might work!" but nothing more before he picks up another book and adds the previous one to a growing pile nearby. Cactus, his blue chocobo is curled up in the corner with his head tucked under his wing.

At night, however, the little manjuu continues his hunt but with less enthusiasm. There aren't any whoops or declarations. Anyone who may chance upon him may see him dozing off as he pours through another book. If you see him late at night, he might have actually fallen asleep on one.

Bother him? You might just have what he's looking for. ]

[Serph doesn't work every day at the library, though sometimes it seems like he does. This week, his hours have been pretty short, on account being flat out exhausted from being chased by the mosasaurus.

But what is up with these piles of books being left everywhere today?

Finished with one pile -- and the book he was reading at the same time -- he moves to return his own book when he finds the culprits! A small, black demon, snoozing, and a bird-like one!

...Serph doesn't particularly want to wake the two up, though. He's not entirely sure why, but he feels like he should drape a blanket or something over the two snoozing demons. Perhaps a fragment of memory from his life before? Either way, he makes a short trip to speak to the head librarian returns with two thin blankets, which he carefully drapes over the two.]

[ He's normally a heavy sleeper but that's only when he's managed to get tucked in and all sleepy. However, when it's an accidental sleep like this, he's a light sleeper and wakes easy. So Mokona jerks at the feel of the blanket. ]

Mokona didn't mean to sleep!

[ But he calms down with a small yawn. ]

Oh. Hi. Sorry for the mess.

[Whoops, he hadn't meant to wake the little demon. Well, too late now. Serph nods in acknowledgement of the apology, but he continues to drape the second blanket over the feathery demon.

Addressing the smaller one.]

What are you looking for?

[ He gives a little yawn and rubs his belly before getting up. ]

Mokona was looking for a story. Something nice everyone would wanna listen to.

[ Tilt of his head though. ]

You know any?

[Serph thinks for a moment, before he reaches over to a nearby shelf and plucks out a book.]

Try this one.

[A story about the joys of sharing? Or a story about bribing people for friendship?]

[ His head tilts ever so slightly. ]

The Rainbow Fish, huh?

[ Bit of a giggle from that. ]

Yeah, I guess that works considering where we are, huh?

[Serph nods. It's rather appropriate, yes. He hands over the book.]

Your name?

Mokona is Mokona! Sorry for the mess.

[ Have a small black paw offered to you, Serph. ]

Shake hands?

[Angelina is visiting the library today just to see if she can catch up with the nearly 150 years of medicine she's behind in this world. She has found a couple of books when she spots a moving toy in the middle of a pile of books. The most surprising this is that the toy is reading!

Curious, An picks Mokona up to look at him.]

[ When you read, you tend to lose yourself. Suddenly the world disappears and you aren't aware of whatever's going on. Such is the case with this little manjuu. He'd snuggled himself in against Cactus and was just getting to the good part when-- ]

HEY!

[ There's some struggling though. ]

Put Mokona down!

[She looks curiously at the struggling black creature. It looks like the toys Funtom makes. Except that it talks and struggles.]

Mokona? What is a mokona?

[ He calms down though when he sees who it is. Really. Yuuko taught him better. But then it was only because he was surprised.

Have a paw offered though. ]

Mokona is a Mokona! Shake hands?

[She smiles and shakes Mokona's paw.]

And what is a Mokona? You look like a fluffy toy...

Mokona is Mokona, I just told ya!

[ The pawshake is returned just as eagerly. ]

Mokona doesn't remember you though. What's your name, lady?

Oh, I am sorry, I just arrived recently. My name is Angelina Durless, but you can call me Madame Red. [She courtsies while still holding Mokona.]

Where do you come from, Mokona?

Welcome to Vatheon! You're gonna like it here.

[ There's a small wiggle though. ]

Mokona comes from Yuuko's shop but we're in Japan. Where do you come from?

[She finally puts Mokona back down.] Thank you very much, it sure seems like an interesting place.

Oh? Japan? How exotic.

It's not as bad as everyone thinks. I mean lookit!

[ And hopping up to Cactus' head so the chocobo can raise him to a nearby window. ]

Outside the bubble's real pretty. And there's a beach now too!

[Looks at Mokona curiously.] Do you like it here, Mokona?

[ He's tilting his head this way and that. ]

Mokona kinda had to get used to it but yeah. Mokona kinda likes it here! Mokona's made a bunch of friends and Vatheon's really pretty.

[She smiles and pets him.]

I'm glad you like it. It sure does seem like a nice place. But it's so different than where I come from...

[ Pettings. Mokona likes the pettings. It makes him relax, makes those ears fold down. ]

It's different from where Mokona comes from too. Mokona's never been anywhere like this before. What was your home like?

[Awww, he's a cute cotton ball.]

I see... I haven't either... My town is called London. It's a big and modern city, and it's probably one of the first that's starting to become industrial. [In her timeline, of course.]

[ He is the cutest cotton ball. ]

Mokona's never been to London before but Mokona's seen pictures. Do you miss it?

[Oh, that's a surprise! The cute cotton ball knows London!]

I miss it, but being here is quite an experience. [And since Ciel is here, there's not much she has left at home.] Would you like to visit it sometime?

[ Little meatbun knows a lot of places, really. ]

Yeah! That sounds like a great idea! Mokona wants to see London sometime. I'm sure Yuuko would too!

I'm sure you could find fun things to do in London.

[Blinks.] Yuuko? Are they like you?

[ That's going to elicit a bit of a giggle though. ]

Nope! Actually, Yuuko's kinda like you! A lot like you now that Mokona thinks about it.

I would love to have you in London. [Hugs him.]

[Then she blinks.] Like me? You mean she is human?

Yeah! That's where Mokona came from. She runs a shop and sometimes, Mokona helps out.

I see, that's interesting... What kind of shop does she run?

[ Dawn's no stranger to digging through libraries to research Mythos and the like, so she's arrived at the library to do just that. But when she sees a familiar face and that huge stack of books, Dawn decides that her own research can wait. ]

Hey, you look like you could use some help. Looking for something in particular?

[ He looks up from a rather thick volume that's about as big as he is. ]

Dawn, hi! Yeah, Mokona's looking for a story.

[ He's gonna put down the book though so he can talk to her properly. ]

A fairy tale! This place looks like it could use some cheering up so Mokona wants to find a good one to tell people over the network.

[ Aw, that's actually really nice of him. Dawn sits down next to him, ready to help. ]

Which pile of books have you not looked through yet?

[ He looks around and finally settles on pointing to a short stack right near Cactus' wing. There seems to be a copy of Grimm's Fairy Tales as well as The Happy Prince and Other Tales. ]

That one! Those have stories from Mokona's world.

[ Pointing at the one he was holding. ]

Hey, do you know any stories? Maybe you can tell Mokona one.

[ Part of her has had enough of Sinnoh mythos to last her a lifetime, but she also doesn't want to disappoint him. ]

I can tell you a few stories, if you want. They're mostly true, though, so I don't know if they qualify as fairy tales, but when I first heard them I thought they were just made up.

[ His ears perk up at the prospect and you have his attention straight out. ]

Mokona can tell you a story if you tell Mokona one back!

Alright, that sounds fair. [ She smiles. ] Which one of us should go first?

Since ya offered, why don't you go first?

[ He's gonna pat a pillow for her to join him. Even Cactus raises his head out of curiosity. ]
