If you ever needed proof Vatheon is a most unusual place, Mickey has decided to prove it, although not on purpose. He's decided to take out his new pets for some exercise in the best way possible. So along the streets you'll see a giant clothes-wearing mouse riding an even bigger blue Chocobo, while a large grey hound runs beside them. Feel free to reread that sentence.

"Ha-ha, c'mon boy! I know we can get faster than this!"

The Chocobo squawks, and tries to pick up the pace. Mickey is wholly a child today, putting serious matters temporarily behind in order to have a few hours of fun.

[Actually, this isn't terribly weird for Rinoa. She's met Mickey, she's seen greyhounds, and hell, Chocobos come from her world. Though, admittedly, all three of them together is a wee bit odd...

Rinoa spots the trio near the marketplace. They're speeding by pretty fast, so she just waves to them with a big smile. She wouldn't blame Mickey if he didn't stop, but she at least wanted to wave to him.]

[But Mickey is a polite fellow. When he spots the wave, he whistles, and nudges the Chocobo with his foot to make it slow down.]

Hey, Mickey! That's a nice chocobo you have. Never seen a blue one, though.

Ain't he a beauty? Got him not too long ago, cause a friend left him behind. Name's Belland.

He sure is. I wonder who brought them here? They're from my world, so someone must have gotten them here somehow.

Belland, huh? How'd you come up with that?

They were from my pal Lea, and since he named 'em, didn't feel right ta go and change it. Belland's a nice name... though I woulda gone for Donald, h aha!

Oh, so it was the original owner's name. But why Donald?

Donald's the name of my friend back home. He's a bird that always wears blue!

[Okay, dogs and chocobos are not unusual things to Xion, even if she hasn't had the pleasure of encountering them herself. Even the clothes-weraing mouse does not even rank on her list of weird things. But it's definitely not the first time she's come across someone who spurs that niggling sense of familiarity that she knows comes from Sora's memory, and she always makes a point of acknowledging it when it happens. Here in Vatheon they tend to be valuable allies and potential friends more often than not.

Despite all of that, it doesn't make her any better at actually approaching these people, so at the moment she'll just be casually stopping to watch Mickey and his animals wander down the street, looking like any normal bewildered spectator. Well, at least discounting the face-concealing hood.]

[He spots that coach, and whistles to get his animals to slow down their tracks. That coat either means friends or trouble, and he's prepared for both. He can't guess this who is based on their size, and can't quite see the face either. For now, he'll play it nicely, smiling as Belland the Chocobo is steered by his master to head for the girl.]

[She smiles at the greeting, still not quite aware what kind of unease her Org. coat instills in other people from her world. She's polite in her answer, as always in these situations.]

Hi. Quite an odd bunch you've got here.

Don't think we've met before. I'm Mickey Mouse. This here is Belland.

[The Chocobo chirps. Sup.]

And... well, me and the missus haven't named him yet, but I'm sure the pup's glad ta meetcha too!

[Her face seems to light up a bit and she reaches down to pet the doge.]

I'm Xion. It's nice to meet you!

[It sounds somehow familiar. But he can't quite figure it out. But still, 'name with x in it' + 'black coat' = well duh. Still, Axel and Demyx are freindly enough, so it looks like she's one of the good ones. The dog licks her hand, friendly as his master.]

We were just out gettin' some exercise. Gotta remember ta stretch yer legs!

[she continues to give the dog attention, seeing that it's friendly. Honestly, the friendly domesticated animals are starting to become one of her favorite things about the city.]

[ And bounding up right beside you, Mickey, is what appears to be a small black meat bun on the back of another blue chocobo. He raises a paw in greeting. ]

[ He catches up eventually after a few seconds and seems to be running along in an even pace beside Mickey's chocobo. ]

You out for a ride too?

[... NGL this is an odd sight for him. He blinks once or twice.]

Yup. Not a bad day ta get some exercise.

Yeah! I've been wanting to take Cactus out here for a spin and today's a great day to do it!
