Gengars on Friday the 13th.
Who: Silver, his Gengar and its victims YOU
What: It's Friday 13th and Silver is a bored teen with a gengar. Mischief and mayhem ensures.
Where: All around Vatheon
When: Night of Friday 13th.
Style: I'll match you.
Status: OPEN OPEN OPEN
It wasn't often that Silver hung around after dark, but tonight was special, and he'd swapped his regular jacket out for his black hoodie. It was Friday the 13th. Around him, his gengar floated grinning wickedly, Silver matching it with a smirk of malice before he waved his hand, signalling that the pokemon could do as it pleased and cause mischief.
It was more a reward, given the ghost type had done well in training and Silver was still getting used to treating the pokemon semi-decently, but tonight... he had no qualms about this. It'd be fun for both for them - and Silver honestly thought he'd been too nice and people-friendly of late. Gengar got to cause mayhem and he'd get to watch the morons scramble around, trying to find the ghost. He wondered if he'd have to step in before things got too bad, but, eh. He really didn't care if anyone got a little hurt by the now invisible ghost's antics.
Whoever they picked first would find their shadows starting move on their own, along with a sudden chill that wouldn't seem to leave them. Gengars were natural heat sinks - it was one of the only ways to tell where the ghost was. Anyone after that would find random objects on or around them possessed and moving with a mind of its own, along with the shadow tricks.
As for Silver? He's somewhere sniggering at all of this, likely with his hood up.

Not to mention there wasn't that big of a chill when Pride was looming over him. It's a good thing he brought his coat tonight.]
Did you want something?
[He couldn't see anyone, but whatever was making his shadow move like that was enough of a signal that someone was around.]
does he have a hat?
For now.
Play with it, Kimblee. It just wants to play.]
yep o7
Well.
Maybe just a few.
He's just going to kind of derp at the dancing for a few seconds.]
...What?
>3 perfect.
Also, was that your hat? It's sort of floating off now. Up into that tree.
Near a beehive.
The shadows at the base of it seem to have solidified, too. Are they mocking you? Maybe.
Nearby, Silver's now watching, he's not going to let anyone get hurt (that much), but this is amusing.]
1/2
goddamn it.]
2/2
[Okay. He can either be a complete idiot and go up after it himself or wait and see what happens.
Or he could just get it down himself, but there's that risk of having a swarm of very, very angry bees in the area. Dilemma, dilemma... Then there's also the matter that he doesn't know just what that thing at the trunk of the tree is and why he feels like he's getting colder.]
Re: 2/2
in full 8-bit glory. It's coming from the thing in the shadows.
Also, Silver might be sniggering just a bit.]
no subject
I could get it down myself, you know.
[But. Those damn bees.
Unless... Yeah, that might work... Don't mind him, he's just going to approach the base of the tree (wary of the hive itself), kneel down and think. There's a few ways he could go about this, but he's mostly using it as a disguise to get closer to whatever it is in the shadows. Potential danger? Please.]

Once Kimblee's close enough, the ghost will give a malicious grin and point to the hat. It also seems to look rather mean, if not hostile. Or it could just as it's always like that. Then it's gone --
-hope you don't mind any seeds, nuts or twigs now being pelted at you.]
no subject
It's worse than dealing with Pride sometimes. That kid honestly set him on edge when those shadows snuck up on him like that the first time. It's a good thing he's pretty much in cahoots with that whole family though.
It's also a good thing that his time in prison mellowed him out a bit from his younger days but it's getting very tempting to just blow the whole damn tree up.
Actually...
Yeah. That sounds like a good idea right about now--or something, at least. That acorn that just bounced off his head looks good enough. He'll just be picking that up to roll it around between his fingers.]
I'll only ask you once; Please stop that.
no subject
Nope. it will just put the hat on the beehive --
Until it sees it's master's dark look from behind kimblee. Opps.] Gaaaa...
[if ghosts can pout this one is doing it in spades. It'll just play with the hat instead.
Silver will take this time to start to approach, with a sigh and head lowered.] Sorry about him.
[Only not, as he's hiding the smirk in his eyes.]
no subject
The sudden chill? Easily explained as an effect of the weather here. It was night, after all. The shadows? Nothing more than an optical illusions. Conan ignores it all.]
no subject
Because it is. And it might just have eyes.]
no subject
Ah. So it is this day.
Do you not have anything more useful to do?
can gengar take his glasses at some point?
Which is throwing leaves at you. There might be a few nuts or seeds in as well, but nothing to harmful. Yet.]
go for it!
/late orz
It shows itself not far away. If he's seen the other trainers and pokemon around, then Conan might know that it is at least a pokemon.
And that most trainers tend not to let their pokemon roam.]
no subject
Hey!
[In an unconscious gesture he touches his face where the glasses were supposed to be and hastily looks around for witnesses. Without his glasses he felt vulnerable. Maybe it was a thin disguise, but it was the only thing that kept him from looking identical to seven-year-old Shinichi Kudo.]

Until the the glow of a nearby streetlamp starts to flicker and the temperature drops.
It's like encountering Rotom all over again only this time with less TVs and more creepiness and a lot more flickering. And suddenly rustling bushes.
Maybe a walk wasn't the brightest idea after all. Better keep a hand on those Pokéballs.]
does he have a hat :3?
It's not the bushes that he should be worried about. It's the small twigs shooting out from them, along with that steetlight going out. Oh and that brick that's been moved into the path.
Care to play a game?]
a very lovely one, yes. ;3
It's always the creepy stuff which catches him off-guard and as soon as the streetlight goes out, Lucas takes a deep, calming breath. It's fine. He's dealt with this before.
Now where did the brick he just stepped on come from?
Quirking an eyebrow, Lucas prods it with his foot before crouching down to pick it up and turn it over in his hands before looking up and away from it.] ...Hello?
>3 perfect.
Rather, that hat is going over to that spiky bush and setting down on top of it. Not seconds later, the streetlight flickers back on, this time so that gengar can move back to playing shadow charades with your shadow, Lucas.
It's just harmless fun....right?]
no subject
...well, he can't really be sure if this is a Pokémon or a real ghost who might be doing all this so Lucas scurries over to his hat, reaching out to pick it back up, glancing over his shoulder to keep an eye on the dancing shadow. Time to gather as many details as possible before making a plan.
...he would look rather silly if he danced like that.] You're not a real ghost, are you...?
no subject
He totally is one. The shadow stops dancing. But soon enough that hat's gone again, this time vanishing so that it's now in a tree.
And the gengar is laughing at this.]
no subject
GengarWhatever it is. Now the hat is up in the tree.... ...
See Lucas stand in front of the tree. See Lucas jumping up and down, trying to reach it. See Lucas looking forlorn.
But then his lips quirk into a smile as he looks over his shoulder.] Are hat tricks the only thing you can do or is there more?
[A challenge? Quite possibly.]
no subject
It would do more, but it's trainer is lurking nearby and gengar doesn't want to test the limits of the fun that Silver is allowing it.
Yet, anyway. ]
no subject
Doesn't mean that he won't be getting out his Luxray to find the culprit because that's what he's doing. Those useful eyes which can see through walls will hopefully be able to at least locate Gengar.
Or the trainer. Because Cheren told him that all Pokémon here are owned by trainers and Lucas himself hasn't seen any wild ones.]
/late orz
Doesn't seem like he'll put a stop to the ghost pokemon, either.]
no subject
[Still, he keeps searching, a shadow in the night.]
/slow orz
And grinning.
As he's on the rooftop, he'll be able to see Silver leaning against a tree, looking up at him. It's hard to tell but he's smirking. Or maybe he's watching something else. Either way the red-head sticks out as the most obvious cause of his, given that vatheon brings in all sorts of people.
It's fine, my computer's broken anyway.
Re: It's fine, my computer's broken anyway.
If he moves, Otoha will find that his shoes have come undone again - the shoe laces tied together now, and the shadow has eyes.
Also, that sudden chill around him isn't going away.]
no subject
Well, wasn't this a somewhat familiar sensation. Riku stops in his tracks, looking this way and that. Was he playing around? Or was it something different this time? Either way, this is suspicious...]
no subject
[Screw haunting riku, you are about to get a sudden ghost!hug from a very happy gengar. Sup bff?
Just don't mind that the gengar may be be sticking leaves in your hair, and possibly looking from something to 'borrow' or stick in a bush or tree. ]
no subject
Okay, seriously? He chuckles, 'patting' Gengar on his head.]
...Hello to you, too. It's been a while. [Now bff, you can stop putting leafs in his hair. He is not a grass type. :I]
riku is totes a grass/ground type
The leaves stop but -- sorry man, that is now dirt headed your way. Snowballs with dirt 8D.
No, Riku is a ground type now.And come on, there's got to be something on you that he can 'borrow' and hide. B|]
no subject
[But they seem normal otherwise...]
[...]
[...Bother?]
...complete with hat??
Izanami, hey Izanami. Do you like to play catch with acorns?
Because a few are being tossed your way to start with.]
Yep.
Re: Yep.
Beehive or bricks?
It goes for the bricks. It's not sure that it's master would like having to deal with angry bees as a result of this game. Of course, once the bricks been thrown, Gengar is zooming into steal the hat.
8D.]
no subject
Almost as odd as the sudden smirk that is plainly visible on her face… wait, why are her eyes glowing?]
Do you not realize how simply rude that sort of behavior is, child…? Permitting your creatures to attack one who seems defenseless?
[Wait, she knows? Oops. 8D;]
no subject
Havin' fun?
no subject
But that is a brick or three now in your path, Grit. He might be trying to remain tame, but... if you hurt yourself, not his fault.
And your hat is floating. In mid-air.]
no subject
You don't touch his hat. He reached up to grab his hat and pulled it down.]
Now ya knock it off.
no subject
Well. Grit's shadow is now going to be dancing. And the air around him has dropped at least 5 degrees.]
no subject
'lright, ya had yer fun. Ya done yet?
