Investigation
Who: Zelda and ALL THE PEOPLE
Where: All over Vatheon, even on the island a bit
When: January 18-23rd, day and night (though not too late at night)
Style: Either
Status: Open!
Maybe you notice the princess staring too long at something, or maybe you notice the Sheikah scaling new heights to investigate those hard to reach places - but Zelda is definitely on the prowl for information now that the faeries are gone. She wisely avoids the ruins of the church, but nowhere else public seems to be beyond her interest. At least she doesn't break into people's houses like the other Hylian here in Vatheon.

"A ruler must be able to take criticism," she responded. If she let herself get angry at every little thing she'd be utterly useless! "It would be silly of me to take honest observations personally." Her face twisted into a rueful smile as she continued. "I honestly did not have spare time before coming to Vatheon, so I do not have many hobbies. I like to play instruments, but learning how was part of my duties. Other than that, I read books and observe people."
Saying it out loud like that, it almost made her wince.

And this is why he hated the topic of Shizuo. He couldn't shut up. He bit his tongue because he knew he had to stop that. Namie used to complain that he talked way too much about the blond and he knew that sometimes he could.
"That is a great point to make," Izaya said seriously. Zelda, for a woman, was actually quite admirable. That was certainly something coming from someone like Izaya. She didn't strike him as weak-willed. She had a powerful side and Izaya had seen enough hints of that to know. It was something worth his respect. "You'd be surprised at how many people do. Especially when it comes to the not-so-good parts of them," he said, recalling that one girl...Ah, what was her name again? It didn't matter. Not really.
"Observe people?" he asked, his mouth quirked up, "How interesting. I guess we share a similar hobby then. And might I ask what instruments you play? Maybe we could play sometime together~. I play the piano and harp myself. Though I don't have either of those yet...Ah say! Do you want to pick something up with me? A hobby I mean. Like um..." He tapped his chin. He had never really picked up a hobby with anyone before. Yet he wanted to get closer to Zelda. The time spent with her would be great for that really. "Do you know how to dance?"

"I play the harp as well! Also the organ, we had a massive one in the castle - by extension, the piano would be easy to pick up. I also play the flute and the ocarina, and a little guitar. Music is very important on my world." She was smiling brightly, looking her age for once.
"I'm afraid I only know ballroom dancing," she confessed. "I was not taught any other sort. It would be fun to learn something together though, wouldn't it?"

"Ah is that right? Same here. My mom always told me that it was pretty crucial to know how to dance. Said something about how it'd impress a girl one day. Granted that doesn't really apply to me, but! Whatever." He grinned all the more widely. He had never been fond of romantics or anything of the like.
"Yeah, it would be. We could learn how to bake. I've always wanted to learn how to make sweets and things. Granted I'm not really big on sweets but I have three brats living with me who probably are. Does that sound fun to you?" It's not that Izaya is desperate for attention- really it's not. He's just. Bored...

"I am interested in learning to cook now that I'm here. It is not something I had to do back home. Are there even classes for that sort of thing in Vatheon?" Zelda tilted her head to the side, looking at him curiously. Well, he would probably know if there were.

"I know somewhat how to cook pretty well. Ah I'd imagine not, what with you being a princess and all," he said and looked thoughtful for a moment. Baking classes? Did Vatheon have classes in anything? "I don't know," he admitted, "But I'm sure that there's probably someone in Vatheon who'd help us out, nn? Maybe we could ask around. Vatheon isn't exactly the type of city to embrace education of any sort. Outside of its library anyway."

She took a few steps away and rested her hand on a tree. Someone had been here recently, but it probably had nothing to do with current affairs. "No, they want to keep us in the dark and watch us scramble. Truthfully, I was out seeing if there was anything to find. I can't imagine they would just explode the fairies like that if the situation wasn't somehow... dire. People make mistakes when there's trouble." Zelda looked rueful. "Or that's the idea. There's been nothing as of yet."
