[ And thus with the opening of the festivities came the poor harassed native who had to run his way up through the elevator (he jogged in place) and all the way around the island to the beach where the majority of the events would occur--

The natives are cheapskates, okay.

Regardless, there is quite the crowd there watching you all compete. May the...best (?) team win? ]

WEDNESDAY - WATER PAINT BALL

[ in the small, pleasant forested area near the elevator, there have been left what look like, well, bazooka launchers. Your ammo? Water balloons with colored water in them. It’s hard to say what the natives put into them, but that color sticks. You can throw the balloons or you can shoot them at each other or really, anything goes.

The team with the last person standing, not soaked and not colorful, wins!

This is a full team event, and friendly fire is a thing, so be careful! Or don’t. That’s cool too.]

THURSDAY - FLY FISH SKIING

[ viewable from a distance, there are 8 platforms set out in the ocean, each with a large banner hanging above them with each team’s respective betta printed on them. tied to the platforms and ready for racing are four of these per team (each about the size of ice skates); they appear to be in a set of two, if the way the harnesses connect two together is anything to go by. contestants are expected to strap them on their feet, and use bridles for steering. they’re a little tricky to maneuver and can be a bit temperamental, so good luck!!

the racing course is set to a marker about a half of a mile out at sea; retrieving the flag and bringing it back first makes you the winner! ]

FRIDAY - SAND CASTLE BUILDING

[ build a sandcastle.

Kicking other team’s sandcastles over is probably against the rules but it’s not like anyone is watching so. Don’t build it too close to the waves, either; you don’t want them washing away your work of art. Your tools are buckets, shovels and whatever you can find on the beach.

Go wild.]

FRIDAY - SWIMMING RACE

[ contestants will swim a pre-set track, spanning across the course both above water and underwater. the track is marked by buoys above, and hoops below. the underwater section appears about halfway through the course. the participant to reach the end of the course first wins! hopefully you’re a good swimmer. ]

MEDICAL TENT

[ the head nurse arranged for this citing that she knows you're all a bunch of idiots. ]

As an added note, we know some of this stuff isn’t the easiest to play out--but this is also a great space for team shenanigans before and after the events as well. Feel free to use this log for things like that as well!

[This should be fun! She won't fly, but hopefully she won't need to. Hopefully she won't trip into that pile of balloons next to her either. She's also hiding behind a tree.]

[Akihiko is crouched behind one of the trees, looking around carefully for enemy players who might be stalking them hidden beneath the foliage. He's chosen to throw the balloons at others; the bazooka-type gun is just too awkward to carry around.]

[Tatsumi stares at the two pairs of flying fish he's been given. He almost regrets having signed up for the race. But Tsuzuki is always telling him to lighten up, so might just as well. Plus, he can't let his team down, he takes this business just as seriously as anything else.

He looks at Feferi and sighs.]

[ There's a peel of girlish laughter as she's swept up, but she settles pretty quickly. This was serious business! ]

[For once, Zelda agrees with the head nurse. Finding half the work done for her was quite pleasant. She's set herself up with all the necessary supplies, but at the forefront? Nothing more than simple sunscreen and a lot of fresh water.]

Friday - after the swimming race

[All these days out in the sun and on the beach, wearing nothing more than swimming shorts are sure having his toll on Gamzee. Not in the terms of his stamina --that is pretty excellent considering he is a giant junkie addicted to pie-- but in terms of wow, his skin sure feels weird. Sort of odd and pinchy and flushed indigo. Hella weird shit going down here.

Which is exactly why he pokes a curious head into the medical tent after the swimming race --once he has carefully reapplied his make-up, at least!-- glancing around for someone with a little more wisdom in these matters.

Hey, until he came here, he was nocturnal. Sunburns are unknown terrain for him.]

[He'd come before dawn to help with set up and now that the sun was dangerously out, the vampire had stationed himself, safely, in the back of the tent, away from the opening. He sat on a stool, ready to go to work at a moment's notice, but also relaxing in the meantime.]

Mmmm....maybe it'll be quiet and, miraculously, no one will hurt themselves~

[ Fuuka peeks into the tent albeit nervously. She honestly couldn't participate in any of the events because of her prowess (or lack of). But that doesn't stop her from wanting to be involved somehow ...

She steps in and immediately notices Zelda. She gives her a bow. ]

Um, hello! I was wondering if I could help out somehow ...

[This vampire might be able to enjoy the sun, but even he starts to feel the effects after awhile. He can feel himself start to wear out and start to get thirsty. Worried water might not be enough to replenish his strength, but needing something to make it through the rest of the days events, he starts to look for some sort of relief. Not to mention that pale skin of his is still fairly sensitive to the sun.

Deciding it might be a good idea to take some shelter for awhile, Fai ducks into the tent a looks around.]

Ah! Hello? I hope I'm not intruding.

[Zelda heads over with a smile and an ice-cold glass of water.]

[Otoha heads into the medical tent. He's managed to cut his arm, and while the cut seems to have healed he needs a wrapping to make sure he doesn't get sand in it. He knows from experience that it can get infected that way.]

[After Katsu's events, he heads into the medical tent, a bottle of water in his hand. Yes, Zelda, he's wearing sunscreen. But he sits on one of the benches, swinging his legs a little waiting for any patients.]

[Aziraphale is sitting kind of awkwardly in a corner of the tent with a warm cup of tea in his hands, waiting for someone to be sent his way. He'd been doing alright with healing people. Well, to be honest, he'd been doing a little too well, to the point where, at least he believed, he was really scaring people.

Likely it was due to the fact that his way of healing was to pretend as if the injury, whether it be a cut or a scrape or a broken bone, never happened in the first place. And as far as his miracle working went, it really seemed that way.

He was helping people, sure, but perhaps he shouldn't have signed up for this.

The poor British man looks a little droopy in his corner, suddenly far too self-conscious for his own good.]

[As she's not one for sports, Amane easily agreed to helping out at the medical tent. If anyone need to be tended to, she will patch them up with a simple healing spell and use bandages, if needed.

Otherwise, she's sitting there with her water and watching.]
