Selphie Gets Her Spar On!
Where: Park!
When: Morning/Afternoon
Style: Whichever you love the most.
Status: OPEN!
Selphie had promised some sparring to a few different people in the new year. She felt like she was beginning to get lazy, or maybe she was just restless. Believe it or not, she was a fighter at heart, and her whole life had been devoted to fighting and war. Things lately had been quiet, slow, and she really needed to get back into the swing of things.
Speaking of swinging, Selphie was in the park, practising large sweeping swings with her nunchucks. Magic really drained her in Vatheon, so she stuck to some physical combat for the time being. She had plenty of friends who wished to spar with her, whether they wanted to do it for fun, or because they too felt the need to keep their skills going.
If you go down to the woods today, you're in for a Selphie surprise - up early, battling hard with the air around her, occasionally punishing the ground or an unfortunate plant or tree.

Kenshin felt horribly empty inside. His heart was usually cold, warmed only by a heated rivalry. And now his heard had warmed to something else, only to freeze over once again at a second disappointment.
He was beginning to doubt he was capable of this sort of affection. He was so closed off to the world of emotions, trying to take care of Echigo and establish his territory and fight his rival in heated battles. He hadn't really thought about marriage or anything of that nature. And now he was beginning to think he might not just be cut out for it.

In front of him, Selphie looked up into his face, her eyes a little sad, but there was something else there too, "Kenny...Can we go home now?"
no subject
He drew a hand to her face and wiped away a tear. He couldn't bear to see her sad. And when she asked to go home, he nodded. "Indeed."

She smiled though when his hand touched her face and she just stood looking at him for a moment, wondering if she should hug him or hold his hand or something. Instead, she nodded back and began to slowly head home.

But then - that implied that they were a couple, and she didn't know what they were, so she just shook her head and blushed.

She went inside and scooped up Moses who ran to greet them, "Hello Moses, did you have a nice day?" Then she turned to Kenshin and just smiled happily - maybe she'd have to wait until Kenshin thought he'd want to try a kiss again. Maybe he just wouldn't. But she still felt so happy, being at home with her two favourite boys.

"Greetings, Moses-kun," he properly greeted the cat. However, no kisses. Sorry kitty. "Would you like some tuna today?"
He mewled in reply, and so Kenshin shuffled off to the kitchen for tuna fish.

"Kenshin...Are you okay?"

He paused for a moment, sipping his tea. "Why do you ask?" he rerouted the question.

Then there was the emotional disaster this afternoon.
He paused and took another sip. "Have I dishonored you at the cafe?"

At that, Selphie sighed and let go of him a little, "...no... It's just - I don't know..."

Talk about what was on his mind. Well that would be something he'd confide in with a retainer. A new subject would be beneficial. "There has been speak of a defense force forming in case of invasions or emergencies. I am considering joining it."
no subject
"Oh! You should! I'm part of them - you should join too! They could really use your help!"
no subject
"I am strongly considering it," Kenshin agreed. "An organized response can prevent injury and casualty, as well as ensure the land is safe and secure."
no subject
"They're a good team but... I know you do your best for Vatheon, with a team or not."
