[Ryu had been at the Host Club long enough, so when he was told he could go home, he headed for his campsite, pulling at his clothes. He didn't really have to deal with people anymore today, so no one would freak out if he went around naked, right? Right. After stashing his clothes in his tent and eating some fish, Ryu decided to go wandering.]

[After a bit of wandering, he came across a large building. The flag and the garden looked interesting, but the place looked pretty abandoned. Maybe there was treasure inside! So Ryu headed towards the door, looking around to make sure no monsters were going to ambush him, and crept inside, looking around. Maybe he should have brought his sword… oh well. If he really had to he could transform, right? But there hadn't seemed to be the same kinds of monsters, so he should be okay.]

( heat is doing a simple patrol of the base. this 'whole new world' thing didn't sit right with him -- he didn't know what sorts of threats were out there -- and be damned if he was going to let any of them get the drop on him and get to sera...

but it was a quiet night so far; even he had to admit. he carried his grenade launcher lazily over his shoulder as he rounded the next corner... unprepared for what awaited him there --
before he speaks; his weapon is already pointed in the intruders direction... his very -- unclothed and naked direction. what the hell... what the hell )

Who the hell are you?!

[Ryu freezes, looking over at Heat. Erk. That gun doesn't look like it's messing around.]

... Ryu. I thought this place was abandoned.

[Or at least had open treasure. ~~RPG rules and all.~~]

And you just happened by hoping to take it over, is that it?! ( yea, he's totally unimpressed. those are his treasures, bitch!! ) You made a big mistake coming here.

No? I was just exploring! I wasn't trying to take anything over.

[He kind of wishes he had his sword right now. Transforming seems like it'd just make this guy angrier... though he seems pretty angry already.]

( and you're lucky, ryu. this is about level one on the anger scale... okay, maybe level two. but that's just because he got a lecture from gale earlier about keeping quiet... ) Yeah? Well it looks to me like you planning on more than just that!

( because you're not wearing any clothes, guy. who the hell explores random areas with their junk hanging out like that?! )

I was in my clothes all day! I don't like clothes.

[What is everyone's deal with clothes, anyway? ;w; ]

( look it is just all kinds of not cool. you are not sera; this is not a good look for you -- ) Get the hell out of here! Now! ( he's not playing games, broski. he takes aim with his launcher and fires -- it's a warning shot, but it's actually dangerously close to the mark that is you, ryu... )

[... Shit. He is definitely not a fan of that. He jumps backwards, and there's a blue column of light for a moment. A burst of light, and Ryu's transformed, more for his own health and defense. He backs up, trying to figure out a way out of here with a minimum of injury.]

( what... was that?! after all this talk from others about the different worlds and how so many things weren't the same... this guy transforms? was it an atma of some sort? there really wasn't any time to think about it, but for some reason... the display made him smirk -- )

So you finally show your true colours, huh. ( he tosses the grenade launcher aside, bringing up his right arm; his atma beginning to glow red -- ) Took you long enough... ( oh yes. he's full on grinning now... )

[With Heat in the base, the sound of arguing isn't a very unusual one, so while Gale had noticed it, he didn't think it was particularly important until he heard the sound of gunfire. When he heard that, he immediately charged into the base's front room, to find Heat ready to transform, and what looks like an enemy demon across from him.]

Intruder. You will leave now.

[Gale's own Atma mark is glowing, and lines of green are spreading along his calf.]

[He's in trouble, and he knows it. He's in the wrong, and he knows it. But he's both fascinated and scared, and he backs up a little, floating in the air.]

[His back hits a wall and his eyes go wide. Uh-oh.]

Too late now! ( you see gale, he even warned him and everything... )

Your ass is mine! ( okay, maybe he's enjoying this more than he should -- but no amount of backpeddling can save you now, ryu. as heat lift his arm slightly, the jagged lines criss-crossing all the way down his body -- in a flash of red light, agni now stands in his place -- lifting his clawed hand higher in the air as he rushes forward, intending to land a punch -- sharp end first, of course )

[That's so nice of you to do, Heat. Really. They'll make a civilized person out of you yet!

As Heat steps forward and punches, Gale transforms himself, replacing his human body with that of Vayu, shifting to balance on one way and gnashing the mouth that makes up his head.]

[Ryu rushes forward to meet Heat's charge, his own fists suddenly covered in flames. He takes the hit, using it as a chance to get in close to the other and land two rounds of Flame Strike on Heat.]

( the magic he wasn't expecting -- luckily, he managed to absorb most of the hit with his already extended arm, but with the second one coming up quickly behind it, he didn't have the chance to react to the follow up.

even with fire being his element; there was no shield to receive the impact of the blow. the strike landed near his left shoulder; causing agni to roar in anger, moreso than pain. this time when he rushed forward, it was with his dual heads bowed; intending to ram ryu into the wall behind with his own body weight )

[With Heat getting in the way with his charging, there isn't much Gale can do in terms of spells- Zandyne might just hit Heat too, and he doesn't want to cause friendly fire if he can help it. Beside, they're in a confined space and wind spells don't do too well in those.

Instead, he takes advantage of the blades in Vayu's feet, darting forward to kick/slash the parts of Ryu that Heat wasn't busy trying to slam into the wall.]

[Ryu attempted to dodge, but got pinned between both of Agni's heads. He tried to claw at Agni's stomach with his taloned feet, and held up an arm to try to protect his face from Vayu's assault.]

[As he slammed into the wall, he could hear the structure creaking dangerously, before the wall behind him simply broke, Agni's momentum sending him flying into the garden.]

( this is a success, as far as heat is concerned. he pushes himself back up to his feet, standing above ryu, bringing his fists up to beat wildly at his chest in a show of victory.

but it's far from over. agni readies himself again, preparing for the next attack -- with the intruder below him it couldn't be a more perfect opportunity to land a brutal punch to the gut. so here he is, winding up -- )

[Today was a good day. Cielo is on his way back to the base from the clinic, still working there after all this time. He was thinking that now that Heat was here, they should celebrate somehow! Maybe they could...

...

Okay, he can see both Heat and Gale transformed, and they're attacking...a demon? That's what it looks like. Did somebody else from the Junkyard show up? Either way, Cielo has to side with his Tribe, so he starts running towards the fray, his brand glowing and blue lines appearing over his body. At the last second, he crouches and jumps as he fully transforms into Dyaus, the blade on his head sliding out.]

The hell is going on here!?

[The question isn't directed to anyone in particular, but if someone could answer him that would be great.]

An intruder in the base. Heat found him.

[Gale doesn't know who this is, or why he has what appears to be a demon, and for the moment he doesn't care. He's only focused on driving him away. Speaking of, if Heat actually goes through with that punch, Gale will follow it with a spell- Zandyne, an attack in the form of a burst of wind.]

[As Heat winds up, Ryu lifts a hand, casting Hwa at point-blank range, flames leaping from his hand. He's not worried about backlash damage, trusting his natural fire resistance to help him out with that.]

[The Zandyne startles him, and he whips his head around to stare at Gale, growling a little.]

( just as he was about to land the blow -- the fire spell sent his way caused him to reel backwards, another monsterous roar emitting from both of his heads. agni lands on his back, his hands wiping at his face to stop the burning. this guy was fighting dirty!!

but cielo's voice only reinforced that the embryon had the upperhand here; there was no way this guy could take on the three of them. scrambling back to his feet, his shoulders were heaving with the effort it took to maintain his breathing now... he was going to have to be healed soon... )

[Welp. Intruder. That was all he needed to know. First order of business, as usual, is to keep his allies from keeling over.

...it seems like only Heat's taken a beating so far. This doesn't surprise him in the least. So Cielo flies a bit closer to him quickly conjures up a Diarama spell and the soft light envelops Agni, mending damage.

And when he's done with that, he turns and roars at the intruder. Get out. Seriously!]

[Gale growls right back. They're not going to wait in turns for Ryu to face them one on one, after all. He sees nothing wrong with sneaking in attacks where he can.

Since Heat's distracted by the burns on Agni's face, and Cielo's distracted by healing those, Vayu takes the offensive again. Time for more feet-knives to the face, Ryu!]

[Ryu cries out in pain at the attack, and flips backwards, a strange green and black dome forming around him. The dome cracks, and reveals a large creature, who flies up into the air and lifts its head, gathering energy and firing it at them in a beam.]

[If they don't dodge out of the way, it's going to hit all of them for two attacks...]

( as the curative spell reaches him, he extends to his full height again. heat takes a quick moment to recover -- enough time to see the creature that's about to descent upon them... )

Move! ( it's directed at both of embryon's members -- which is exactly what he does himself; tumbling to the side in an attempt to dodge... although he was able to avoid the first hit, there is a singe he can feel from the magic on a leg that didn't move quickly enough... )

[Cielo doesn't need to be told! And being both airborne and agile, he escapes the beam completely by ascending. While he does, he makes the decision to go on the offensive. If he attacks quickly, then maybe he can land a hit.

He opens his jaws. This is an incredibly risky thing to do, but if that thing decides to shoot beams at them again, there could be some serious trouble.

Cielo growls softly and then...well, if his opponent is going to fight using mouthlasers, then he is too.]

[Like Cielo, Gale doesn't need Heat's warning about the attack. He leaps away, avoiding the brunt of the blast, but not coming away uninjured. At least it's only an injury to one of his arms, instead of his legs. He's nowhere near out of the fight.

When Cielo uses lasers like that, things are almost certainly serious. Hopefully, the fact that their opponent is being matched in his attack will dissuade this intruder from continuing the fight. With that in mind, his next attack isn't a physical one. Instead, he casts Makanda, to lessen their opponent's magical ability.]

[By this time, Ryu's gone back to his hybrid form. That laser is wider than he expects, and while he manages to dodge a direct hit to the face, it still manages to catch most of his side including both of his legs.]

[He casts another Hwa at Heat - the logic of picking off the opponent that's close to down is still there - and then attempts to back away, though his retreat is slowed by the fact that his injuries hurt a lot.]

( gale's tactics no doubt to helped to lessen the next blow that heat took to the face(s) -- though the fire cast his way still had enough time to do some damage. he found himself backing up, attempting to swat the fire from his view -- as he unknowingly stumbled backwards into a pile of thorns...

thinking it was another attack; though still blinded, he swung out an arm, his claws catching pieces of whatever it was... there's a loud roar as the magic finally dissipates, and heat growls -- ) Don't let him get away!

[There's a reason why Cielo doesn't use his laser unless he feels like he absolutely has to - it takes a tremendous amount of energy to perform. He's not even sure if he can do much else in this fight. He musters up whatever fight he has left in him and puts it in to flight in an attempt to cut off Ryu's escape route.

Tired or not, he still has sharp teeth and blades to threaten the dragon with.]

[If Gale had eyes in this form, he would be giving Heat a look- Their opponent is injured and ready to flee. As long as he's out of their base, they've accomplished the main objective, unless Heat has some other reason for fighting him. Did something else happen in the time before Gale found the two of them inside?

If that's the case, then things must be dealt with. For that reason, Gale advances slowly toward Ryu, ready to use Vayu's foot-knives.]

[He's slowing, and he's breathing hard. He sees Cielo coming in to cut off his route.]

[Injured, alone, surrounded by powerful enemies. He doesn't want to do this. He just wants to leave. He can't leave. Fear and frustration well up inside of him, and his expression darkens.]

[He opens his mouth and lets out a primal scream, as his form shifts again into something much larger. There's no sign of anything but rage in the creature's eyes, and it advances towards the demons.]

[She thought she was trapped in a nightmare, but the sounds were too real. Too reminiscent of Junkyard; the feral growls and yelling, the rumbling, all the sounds of battle...

She stirred, wincing as she heard spells hit and the angry voices of her comrades in demon form. She grabbed the edge of her sheets and cowered, but only briefly.

She couldn't hide. Her friends were in trouble. And this was something she knew would help.

As she got off the bed, she started into song; the one her comrades now knew well, and seemed to always find comforting, leaving the room carefully and approaching the menagerie of monsters slowly. It grew louder and clearer as she inched closer, never showing fear or breaking during each verse.]

[Ryu's head whips towards the sound of the singing, pausing in his rage. It's... soothing, somehow. It reminds him of Nina hugging him back to sense, and of things that are soft and bright. He lands, lowering his head, and stares down at Sera, growling softly - though it's a more curious growl than anything.]

[After a few long moments, he shifts back into hybrid form, and then to his humanoid form, a tired look on his face as he drops to his knees.]

Ha...

( this was it! heat was back on his feet, knowing that the intruder couldn't have that much fight left in him, thanks to cielo ~~for once~~ and his offensive blast.

agni roared again, both sets of teeth clenched as he took off like a shot towards the creature again, ready to take a chunk or two out of his hide --

just as the beginnings of sera's song reached him.

slowed, then brought to a halt, agni's form was brought to its knees, a fist punching into the ground as he could feel the transformation beginning to slip away... ) Sera...

[When he hears Sera's singing, Cielo almost drops to the ground, the combination of the song and his own utter exhaustion causing him to land a bit ungracefully. His head and wings droop and when he sees the intruder returning to human form, he's all too happy to do the same.]

[Gale doesn't go to his knees at the sound of Sera's song, but it's a near thing. Instead of that, he takes a careful step back as he reverts from Vayu's form to his human one. Well, this is certainly an effective way to end the fight.]

Sera.

[When she finishes her verse and sees that everyone is back to their normal selves, her composure starts to falter. Tears well in her eyes, and she steps in between the Embryon and the trespasser.]

Please...please stop fighting!

[Ryu lowers his head, shaking a little. He nearly went out of control again.]

I... I'm sorry...

[He has no real excuse. He should have fled the instant he had a chance. He shouldn't have let himself get drawn in.]

I... I can leave...

( there's a grunt from heat as he rises from his spot on the ground, glaring still at ryu. it was only because sera had requested it that he didn't attempt anything else... for now, he avoids looking over at her.

still, as he speaks, his voice comes with a clearly less-than-impressed-tone ) You don't belong here.

[Suddenly, the intruder doesn't look very fierce or threatening at all. This was the guy who they were running out? Cielo could hardly believe that force was required to get this guy to leave.]

...ja, you might want to go.

[Welp. Now that he thinks about it, Gale kind of recognizes this guy. He talked to him at one point, at least.]

This building is our territory. We would prefer not to fight, but we may have to, if you intrude without permission again.

[Sera runs the back of her wrist over her eyes. The trespasser seems apologetic, which is something they rarely ran into in the Junkyard. She's thankful she can still make their demon forms peaceful, but she hopes that it won't need to be a constant thing.

She isn't quick to dismiss him, though. There had to be a reason behind the visit, right? She looks to Ryu.]

Do you need help?

No... I don't. I... was just exploring, but...

[He's just going to make himself sound worse. He turns, hunching his shoulders a bit.]

Sorry...

[He runs off, back towards the forest and his campsite.]

Hmph. ( heat turns, his cloak following suit a half-second later. seeing sera in such a state is just... too difficult to face head on ) Good riddance.

[Serph had left Host Club later than Ryu and had taken his sweet time getting back to the base. Sometimes it's nice to take a detour every now and again, you know? But when he sees the base in the distance...

That hole in the second storey definitely was not there when he left the base in the afternoon.

Fearing the worst, he breaks into a run, and only slows when he's close enough to see everyone is safe. ...Which also means he's close enough to see the garden in all it's broken and smashed up glory.

. . .

When he's finally within speaking distance, his gaze goes to every every single upturned plant, every single new crack in the paving and single person present. He closes his eyes and speaks in a very, very, calm voice.]

Explain.
