[ A day before the big event a text message goes out to everyone who responded to this post letting them know when the day is going to be! But Sora's not the best with technology so a few other people probably got it as well. ]

HEY EVERYONE! I SAID WE SHOULD ALL GET TOGETHER AT THE BEACH, SO LETS DO IT TODAY! MEET ME AT THE BEACH AND BRING SOME FOOD OR DRINKS ALONG TO SHARE! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

[ Sora's waiting on the beach with a grin on his face. He's already in a pair of swim trunks and there's a huge blanket set up a ways back where they can put the food. It looks like Sora had the sense to brings some forks, plates, and cups so they'll have something to eat off of too. ]

Arf! Woof! [Well, somebody is already making a ruckus! Chibi can be found loudly barking at any wave that drifts too far up the beach, tearing after it as the water recedes, then quickly backing up the sand again when another wave approaches.

...Wave chasing. What else can a pup who can't swim do?]

[Oh, she remembers you, Chibi. 8D Mami couldn't help but laugh at the display. Not only because it was cute, but it was so happy and so carefree.

Mami crouches down, choosing to watch the pup for the moment. She didn't want to interrupt his fun.]

[Mami (wearing this little number. very important to note 8D) is relaxing on one beach chairs looking out to the ocean. She couldn't remember the last time she was able to wind down and just have fun like a regular teenage girl.

It was a nice feeling.]

[ Sora spotted his friend and ran over. What he hadn't noticed from further away was how cute she looked in her swimsuit, so once he was close enough a blush quickly covered his cheeks. Good thing it was warm outside to begin with. ]

[It had taken a lot to convince him to even so much as surface for this, especially given the fact of who else was invited to begin with. Not like he had anything against them, but... well, they certainly had something against him and out of respect, he wanted to avoid conflict. But not coming at all... Someone had a point when they said Sora would be hurt either way, just like anyone would if they knew the truth about his hand in what he had to do to awaken Sora in the first place.

That didn't mean that he wouldn't wander down the beach and toward the path to the village when he sensed someone nearby. It wasn't conspicuous for him to wander off on his own or gaze out to sea, anyway.]

[Unfortunately, that was around the time that Roxas was arriving from the opposite direction. He was late, thinking that maybe Riku would have the same idea of trying to avoid each other. They hadn't run into each other this whole time, after all. But, it probably would have worked better here if they had actually coordinated who would be at the party when.

Roxas froze as he caught sight of the silver-haired figure on the beach. For just a second he thought maybe it was Caden-- but he quickly dismissed that. No, this was the real thing.

His fists clenched. He had a better idea of what anger felt like now, but he didn't voice it yet.]

[With the weather taking a change for the better, it hadn't taken Xion long to start contemplating a trip up to the beach. So since it looked like she would be free of any obligations for the day, she decides to spend a few hours up on the shore.

Of course, figures she'd get the misfired text message about Sora's little party as soon as she made it there.

A ways away from the shore, closer to the village path really, Xion seems to have found a vantage point she's deemed suitably distanced from the gathering. Her hooded form perched on a rock, however, is fairly conspicuous on a day like today.]

[ Sora had wandered away from the party. He was a little lost in thought so he didn't notice Xion at fist. Once he did though, he stopped in his tracks and stared at her. ]

[Well, then it's a good thing that Terra's not exactly comfortable with crowds, so that's just what he'll do; find a nice, somewhat secluded place somewhere close to think/relax/sift through everything he's learned since he arrived here/figure out what the fuck to do about Vanitas being in town.

It's probably by chance that he can be discovered, going through the motions of a kata or two, his Keyblade in hand.
