Who: Walter and you
Where: Nostalgia Nook
When: Early evening
Style: Either
Status: Open

[Walter treats today like any other day, seeing as how the event revolving around it is none of his concern. And today he pays the Nostalgia Nook a visit, though he's not particularly wealthy in StarFish Tokens, wading through the small crowd of children playing at the park to the heart of the shops. This time, one shop of familiar colors catches his attention, and the peddler behind the booth beckons him to come closer. On the display are a few samples not unlike Walter's attire.

The peddler says something or another about what a coincidence it must be, but Walter is more preoccupied with the pamphlet nearby. He takes it.
Shining Blue
Land encompassed by a shimmering ocean [ . . . ] This shop reflects the culture of mythological creatures.
This is outdated.

The peddler offers in an outstretched hand an orange earring like pair on Walter's left ear. He shakes his head, and says maybe a little coldly,
]

I don't need it.

[Sometime after that, he'll be wandering around to familiarize himself with what's there tonight, glimpsing at the occasional pamphlet the stores shove onto him; there may very well be a chance he's looking at one about your world.]

( ooc: Feel free to write vague blurbs on what might be found on the pamphlet for your character's world at his/her respective store! )

[First he shoves the flowers into Walter's grasp, because--]

Hold these for me.

[And then he leads the way.

Yeah walter he just gave you flowers.]

[Yay good.

Minato leads his way on over to a simple shop that has a Jack Frost outside of it. And with his hands tucked into his pockets--]

This is my world's shop.
messianic: (did the ointment prize)

[Crawling.

For a reason. He draws in a slow breath--and sighs.]

I can't go back home anymore. [Because he's dead.] Regardless of what happens here.

But it's still important to me.
messianic: (I stood out in the open cold)

[He just lifts his chin then, looking at Walter squarely.]

You can be angry at whoever you want, and for whatever reason.

But if you want things to change, you have to be willing to educate people. And you are the only expert on your home.
messianic: (did not forebear)

[He was afraid of that. He was a little afraid that Walter didn't care to make things change, didn't care if he was always at odds with people.

It makes Minato a little sad.

But it also means he has to change his tactics a little. He just meets Walter's gaze, nodding.]

Then what do you want?
messianic: (With its own tints the sober grey.)

[He tilts his head. "Remind" him? That hadn't been his intention at all.

But he just nods.]

Alright. I'm glad to hear that then.

But--

...If you care about your people so much, why don't you correct people? When they're wrong about them?

[Yeah, he's pieced some of it together.]
messianic: (And could not think of anything)

[personal profile] messianic 2012-06-29 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[...It's not challenging so much as curious, when he responds.]

How do you know that for sure?

[What happened to make you believe that?]
messianic: (I stood out in the open cold)

[He doesn't stop Walter for a long moment, hands tucked into his pockets as he watches him go.

And when he responds, it's to call out--]

You're doing your people a disservice to think like that, Walter-san.

They deserve better than to have a hopeless cause.
