Who: Walter and you
Where: Nostalgia Nook
When: Early evening
Style: Either
Status: Open
[Walter treats today like any other day, seeing as how the event revolving around it is none of his concern. And today he pays the Nostalgia Nook a visit, though he's not particularly wealthy in StarFish Tokens, wading through the small crowd of children playing at the park to the heart of the shops. This time, one shop of familiar colors catches his attention, and the peddler behind the booth beckons him to come closer. On the display are a few samples not unlike Walter's attire.
The peddler says something or another about what a coincidence it must be, but Walter is more preoccupied with the pamphlet nearby. He takes it.
The peddler offers in an outstretched hand an orange earring like pair on Walter's left ear. He shakes his head, and says maybe a little coldly,]
I don't need it.
[Sometime after that, he'll be wandering around to familiarize himself with what's there tonight, glimpsing at the occasional pamphlet the stores shove onto him; there may very well be a chance he's looking at one about your world.]
( ooc: Feel free to write vague blurbs on what might be found on the pamphlet for your character's world at his/her respective store! )

Shining BlueThis is outdated.
Land encompassed by a shimmering ocean [ . . . ] This shop reflects the culture of mythological creatures.

Tiir stops in front of the shop, looking at the sign.]
... Radiant Peddler?
[He remembers the mention of that name before—the Radiant.]
no subject
Yes, that's what it says. What about it?]
no subject
You mentioned that before.
no subject
And?
no subject
What is it?
no subject
Walter lays the pamphlet down on the display table. He's already implied strongly what it is back in the forest some months back, but he's never had much of a liking for implications as opposed to explications. With the (luckily very vague) answer right here, there's no point hiding it.]
Read it and you'll know.
no subject
Tiir picks up the pamphlet, reading it over a few times before he turns to Walter again.]
But you're not 'mythological', are you? Rather, you seem to be quite real.
[It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Walter is part of this 'Radiant', given his previous words.]

Yukari's in a slightly better mood than last time at least. But she'll still be utterly shocked if he doesn't try to run away from her again immediately. As if she's so god awful to be around.
Ugh-- what the hell did she do to piss him off, anyway?]
...
no subject
Approaching or something. Slowly. Casually--]
...Funny. You don't seem like the type to be out shopping by yourself.
no subject
I don't buy pointless things.
[He's nowhere as snippy as he was back then -- being his original self and having his normal attire again helped a great deal -- but he's still not big on being social.]
no subject
Not big on being social is something she can deal with; but outright shunning with no attempt was just a bit much for her. Their encounter seems to be going better this time around, though.
No pointless things, huh?]
Looking for something specific, then?
no subject
These shops carry items from other worlds. I don't know what they have.
[So he's looking. He doubts he'll ever need any of them, especially the more mundane things like clothing, but it doesn't hurt to know and be aware.]
no subject
Let alone memorized what each one has to offer.]
Well, I don't either. But finding out's the fun part.
[Heh!
...Although he doesn't look like he's having all that much fun.]
no subject
Only if that sort of thing interests you.
[Under normal circumstances, he would have considered it a complete waste of time. Vatheon gives him too much time, so he has to occupy it one way or another. This is better than simply roaming.
. . . ]
I'm done here.
[Surprise, he turns around to leave.]

But then he blinks.
Shining Blue...?
And then he sees familiar blond hair. ...huh. He's preoccupied just a bit with the pamphlet he's been handed, but he does call out a moment later.]
Walter-san?
no subject
Walter can tell by the voice, so he doesn't bother to turn and address Minato as he sets the pamphlet down.]
What?
no subject
Hello. It's good to see you again.
no subject
Walter doesn't have anything to say, really, though the silence is compensated for by the peddler, who offers another tassel this time -- to which he stares back until it's retracted. Where the hell is he supposed to wear that when he's already got one, on his head?]
no subject
And he blinks at the tassel, tilts his head and makes the connection.]
...Is this your world's store, Walter-san?
no subject
It's not anything they would be interested in.
[He leaves "they" up for interpretation.]
no subject
He peeks at some of the items on display curiously. It's got a very Walter-esque feel to it, from the clothing to the other items there, and he's curious about them, clearly.]

"The peddler also offers an assortment of potted flowers." Can I just. Laugh. Forever?
Fortunately the stall itself is much more impressive and helpfully right across the street!
Chibi can be seen perusing, what else, the edibles along the front row (restores three units of "solar energy"???), though beyond hangs everything else described and a little more: novelty items like various types of masks, clothing, and bamboo wears, little charms of various Brush God's with their supposed "blessings," and a wide assortment of ink paintings. (Basically, if it's in the art book, it's probably here.)]
rude, don't laugh at my prose!!
Moving on.
One wouldn't think he's noticed Chibiterasu is there by how he turns to go the other way from where the pup is situated. In fact, he has from the earlier glance, but he's not known for saying "hi."]
...Okay, you're claimed. Nobody else gets Jae, she's marrying me.
[Unfortunately for Walter, one does not just walk away from a creature that can easily track you by scent!
Surprise surprise, you've got someone following you around.]
What even.
It's only a little strange, considering how the last time he saw the pup was during the change. But things are back to normal, and so by chain reaction their regular exchanges. Walter doesn't say or do anything, though he's aware that the pup has started to follow him.
He's seen enough, so it's about time he left the Nook. Without glancing over, he goes back toward the entrance, where the small crowd of children lingers. This time, instead of simply running by, they go to him with high cries of "puppy, puppy!" and reach out to pet or otherwise coddle Chibiterasu.
Walter doesn't appear too pleased (and not too bothered, since his temperament is rather even tonight), as they're blocking his way. For the first time, he turns around partway to look at the scene.]
