Just a small town girl, living in a magic world~

Who: Hanako and YOU. Yes, you over there.

[ So, Hanako found out today that her lil sad jellyfish Pokemon is gone. :C That's sad news, since she was starting to grow fonder of the Frillish even if it did nothing but stare at her and follow her around the whole time, but hey.

She's been in Vatheon for almost three weeks, and other than the curse week- and the tournament show she watched, nothing much went on in her new life. She made some acquaintances, started going to shopping for new clothes and food, and she's living a normal life in the middle of all abnormalities. This must be a very long dream, if she was actually having one. It's scary how quickly she's getting used to it.

Today she's back to the library, picking at new books to borrow while giving back those she's already read. There are very particular novels to be read here, and real manuals about supernatural stuff she'd never noticed in her own world. Her hunger for knowledge is evident, despite her attempts to fade in the background.

You can either find her skimming through the shelves to look for new things, or sitting in her favourite spot- which is a corner very much hidden behind a tall shelf, absorbed in whatever she's reading right now. ]

[Mickey has been to the library a few times in an effort to find out about Vatheon's past. However, each time has been met with failure. but he just doesn't know how to give up.

So, dear Hanako, enjoy the sight of a slightly big mouse humming 'whistle while you work' as he goes up and down the aisles.]

[Mitsuhide nears two years in Vatheon now, but the draw of the library has never lessened for him.]

[Learning there are multiple worlds out there, more than one could ever comprehend, means there is more to learn about that one could ever think possible. There is no end to the interesting new subjects one might find in the library, which is why it is not rare to find the young samurai surrounded by piles of books.]

[Today, however, he has gone back to a subject that is an old favourite of his: poetry.]

[Mitsuhide encounters Hanako when she is skimming through the shelves, because he himself is doing so. Someone recommended a certain poetry book to him, and according to them it should be close... when he finds it he smiles, and half pulls it out before realising he is not alone.]

Good day, my Lady.

[Mitsuhide's smile is gentle, his voice polite. He is never lost in anything quite enough to forget his manners; unfortunately the distraction causes his grip on his book to lessen, and so it falls to the floor and hits his foot. He makes a soft, surprised noise, more shocked than hurt.]

Good heavens... that is unlike me...

[ Hanako eventually looks up from those pages, hearing the hums coming from nearby. And soon, she learns about the source of them.

...

Okay, have this girl stare at you in stupor. Despite seeing Pokemon and people turned into any sort of creatures, it's still unsettling for her to see one in person, rather than the network. ]

[Heels a pair of eyes on him, and looks over. He smiles in a friendly way, and waves one of his big gloves hands.]

Hiya!

[ Hanako was idly brushing her fingertips over the books' spines. It's an action she liked to do whenever she was alone in the school's library. She likes the feeling of the rough material of these books that could be either ancient or freshly printed for all she knows, something she'd find out only if she picked them one by one.

... Except, she was too absorbed in her own thoughts that she didn't realize someone else was there. When Mitsuhide greets her, she startles with a soft gasp, pulling her hand away from the books instantly as if she got caught in a criminal act. This voice, the polite speech... where did she hear it from? ]

...

[ And then the thud noise coming from the book falling on his foot compels her to look down. ]

U... Um... Are you hurt...?

...

H- Hello...?

[ She doesn't know what to make of it, but greeting a stranger back is still a polite thing to do. ]

[He begins walking on over, deciding to make a new friend.]

Didn't know anyone else was here! The name's Mickey Mouse. What's yers?

[The question causes Mitsuhide to flush a little, embarassed by the uncharacteristic moment of clumsiness.]

Ah, no, no. I am fine.

[He looks a touch sheepish as he leans down and picks up the book. When he stands up straight again, the samurai looks the book over to ensure it has not suffered any damage; his thumb traces its spine.]

[Luckily it seems to be fully intact.]

[Mitsuhide bows his head once reassured.]

Thank you for your concern.

... I'm Hanako Ikezawa. [ Very shyly, as she holds the book to her chest as if defensively. ]

[He stops after a few steps, seeing the defensive stance.]

Nice ta meetcha, Hanako. Whatcha readin'?

... It's alright. Accidents happen.

[ She tries to downplay it, although her voice comes out a little shaky because of her characteristic shyness. ]

You're... uhm...

[ And then that question comes to mind, and she has to ask him. ]

Have we talked before...?

... Ah-

[ She decides to show the cover anyway. It's one of those general fantasy books about spaceships and worlds to conquer. ]

[Oooh, very cool!]

That looks like real fun! I'll have ta check it out next time.

Uhm... I see...

[ And then she lowers the book, looking aside in utter embarassment. ]

Do you... work here?

Naw, I'm just tryin' ta do a bit a' research. I'm tryin' ta learn about the history a'Vatheon, maybe learn some of its secrets, or try ta understand it better... but so far, I got nothin'.

[He shrugs. No biggie.]

There are no books about this world, then? [ That's odd... she thought that whoever reigns this place would at least take some pride and share their history with their guests. ]

None so far, but I haven't searched the entire place yet. I come in here whenever I have the time ta take a look around. I still have a long way ta go.

[After the departure of her roommate and some talk time with his ~~love interest~~friend, Madison had decided to venture out of her comfort zone which was practically going out during the daytime. Back home, reading a good book usually helped her get out of a funk.

Which led her to the library. There was nothing of interest that she was searching for but rather looking for something that would pop out at her. Spot the witch doing this?]

[Surprisingly, Gorthan doesn't visit the library as often as would normally be expected of a lover of books. That would be because he's also a conqueror and a collector - even his relationship with knowledge is one of personal, singular possession.

Even so, the library is still one of the places in Vatheon that he does not entirely mind and that he is actually kind of grateful for. Another thing he is grateful for is being back in his usual Evronian body, as opposed to the human body he was confined in for a week.

After observing Hanako for quite a long while from afar, having noted her active interest in the books, he finally approaches her.]

May I request a favor of you?

[Tidus doesn't actually hate libraries, though he never had much time to frequent them. Right now he's just trying to navigate the building, not really sure what he's looking for, if he's even looking for anything. Absorbed in what he was doing, he accidentally walks into Hanako.]

Oh, sorry...

I see...

W-well, good luck with your search then, um... Mouse-san. [ Awkward... ]

Aw, ya can just call me Mickey! We're all pals here.

[He even offers her a hand to shake.]

[ Aaaaand Hanako has been in the middle of picking books for a little while, choosing mostly fantasy stories that seem to be very abundant in this place. When she spots the new person in the same area, her still scarce social skills prevent her from really doing anything other than continuining what she's doing- though she wouldn't coil back from a chat if anything happens that requires it. She's looking for new acquaintances here after all. ]

... Hm?

[ She turns her gaze to the voice and-... she freezes. There's nothing she can do about having sudden encounters with new people who are... definitely not human, and not get a shock from it. The enviroment is one thing, its inhabitants are another.

Regardless, she forces herself to quick recollect herself and speak to the stranger. He sounds polite at least, and all the non-humans she'd seen have been nothing but nice to her. ]

Yes...? What is it?

[ Whoops! The three books she was holding will end up on the floor, fortunately not hitting her feet in the process. She stumbles back, stunned for a moment, before she learns of the person who walked into her- and she instantly recognizes him. ]

You're... Tidus-san?
