His head was pounding as he blinked his eyes open. Oh no, he groaned inwardly, feeling completely drenched. At first he had to wonder if Demyx hit him with some powerful attack that had knocked him out. It was a possibility, given the the fact that much time had clearly passed in the day, all the way to another morning.

However, as he lay on his back, he started to mutter. "Can't believe I..." 'Fell for it' would have been next out of his mouth, but that was how he learned whose voice was coming out. His eyes darted all around, starting to panic.

"... Not again."

He wanted to continue protesting, about how he didn't deserve the name Ven had given him, how he didn't know who he was, and how he was clearly still lost.

However, this was Mickey Mouse - perhaps the only person better at optimistic speeches than Sora.

"You really think so?"

He nodded once, wearing a weary smile. "I really do. I'm always going to do what I can to help you. You can always come to me for anything. I really want to be your friend." He then held out his hand - still gloved, even as a human.

Reaching out to take his hand, Caden started to smile again.

"Thanks. I don't know what you can help with, though."

They exchanged a strong handshake as they finally managed to share an equal smile.

"Just know that I'm here. I'm always just a holler away."

That made him laugh a little. "A holler, huh?"

Then he nodded firmly, crossing his arms again in amusement this time. "Alright."
