01 - halfway between the gutter and the stars

[So much for luck this time... Shing had managed to avoid most, if not all, of the curses that came his way these last few weeks; however this time, he wasn't nearly so lucky.

He was supposed to be human, last he checked, not... having his body altered into something like this. In his shock he'd stumbled out of the apartment, gasping as he fled on foot to a small street nearby.]

W-what...?! What... happened to me?!

[Seriously, who wakes up to find himself as a half... lizard... thing? He placed a scaly hand on his forehead; Shing could also feel... horns? That was what they were called, right?

He threw a fist into a nearby tree in frustration; that was when he had another unwelcome shock. Not only did his fist tear right through it, but when he connected with the ground the earth shook underneath him; he had enough sense to pull back after, but by then there was a somewhat ominous crack in the ground where he'd accidentally punched it.

In any case, he couldn't exactly stay here lest he end up accidentally hurting his friends. Or worse.

Hence why you now have a half-demon Shing in the plaza trying not to call attention to himself. Which isn't exactly working considering that he's wrecked a couple buildings by accident...

Someone help him figure out what do before he hurts himself, please?]

( OOC: And thus for this event Shing ended up getting the powers of one Amaimon from Ao no Exorcist! It's just his powers, though, not his appearance; so yeah Shing still looks like himself, just to be clear here. For the most part. Do be careful, though; he's stuck in that half-demon transformation point where he's part lizard, apparently... either way have fun? )

[ She finally gets off of her conversation and puts the SFC away with a small sigh, taking a hold of Shing's hand again as they kept walking. ]

What are we talking about? Sorry, was talking with Beryl. I explained the basics to her and she's perfectly okay with Rin staying for a bit.

Thinking of picking up some things for dinner, actually.

[Like alcohol! :D]

Figure I might as well make some decent meals, but yeah, we'd need some stuff. Is there a grocer close to your apartment?

[there's one near his but he hasn't checked out many of the other areas]

Depending on how much stuff we need to get, we could just go to the one near yours? I don't mind helping to carry things.

[A pause.]

Plus, it'll be good practice to see if I can, well. Keep myself from turning, too...

... yeah well. Don't try to over do it, okay?

[starts leading the way to his apartment first.

Luckily it's not a terribly long walk, and they get there pretty quickly. He leads them up to his floor and unlocks the door. Surprisingly his apartment isn't completely trashed, though it has a very lived-in look.]

Gimmie a minute.

All right.

[ She stays by Shing's side, moving to gently grasp his hand within her own again. She knows that he doesn't want to hurt her, but she's admittedly really worried about him, and wants to let him know that she loves him no matter what. In ... some way. ]

Okay...

[Shing's able to relax enough to gently -- and quickly -- squeeze her hand back. He's still rather hesitant about it, though; again, this goes back to whether or not he can control his strength...]

[Rin vanishes to his bedroom, but not before pausing to check if Masaru is in his. Nope, empty. He'll leave him a message later then.

He grabs a bag and starts packing it, throwing in enough clothes for almost a week (he can do laundry over there, right?) and a few other things.

After that he goes to the kitchen, grabbing his apron and a couple of other things that he might need for cooking to toss in the bag.]

Okay, let's go.

[spiria]

[ Yep, you can do laundry over with us. No prob! Kohaku squeezes Shing's hand in return, then smiles at Rin. ]

Okay! Lead the way to the grocery store, and then we'll lead you to our place! Sound like a plan?

I don't have any problems with this, so shall we get going?

[Rin shoulders his bag and his sword, getting his key out so he can lock the door after they're out.]
