[ If you happen to walk by the plaza on this fine day, you might happen to hear a...bit of a ruckus. Those who are brave enough to investigate will find one (1) soaked teenage girl standing in the middle of the plaza, and she is about as happy as you would expect by this sudden turn of events.

That is to say, not at all, if her yelling threats of pain to someone named "Kaito" if he doesn't put her back and dry her off this instant are anything to go by. Most of them seem to involve a mop, for some reason or another. She's also using some pretty inventive swears - looks like she picked up some of her father's habits after all.

Does anyone dare to approach this little ball of anger? ]

[ There's no way he could ever mistake that voice for anyone. His first reaction is insane amount of joy that curling inside him and begging to be released in avery loud exclamation of joy. ]

[ ...Next the reality of the situation he's landed himself in crashes down like an iron wall. This is bad. This is very, very bad. ]

[ He's supposed to be playing the role of the Famous Detective Kudo Shinichi who does not know Aoko and yet looks disturbingly similar to the best friend she's currently directing some very interesting threats towards. At least she hasn't said anything about Fish. ]

[ ...Had he said anything recently about things couldn't get any worse? He must have because trust fate to always prove someone wrong. ]

[ This is terrible. She can't be here. Kaito knows he doesn't have the self control to keep away from her. He knows that he needs to talk to her. It would do so much for his ever waning sanity to talk to his best friend as her best friend and not a stranger with the same face. ]

[ But at the same time he can't talk to her because that would bring in close contact with Conan who would only all too quickly figure out that Kaitou Kid's real identity is none other than Kuroba Kaito. ]

[ M-maybe he could explain things to her? ]

[ ...No. She'd kill him because that would involving admitting that he was Kaitou Kid. He briefly wondered about talking to her as Kaitou Kid but that idea was immediately abandoned as she would probably kill him and it would involve pain. ]

[ With only one option left he took a deep breath and after grabbing a towel confidently strode over to the raging hurricane. ]

[ For all her yelling and screaming, there really aren't the right words to express the pure frustration that Aoko is feeling. As much as she loves Kaito's magic tricks, he does have a bad habit of getting out of hand - although this is certainly one of his worse pranks. She's soaked so thoroughly that she's pretty sure she'd make a squelching sound if she started walking, and more importantly, it's making her kind of cold.

So really, it's not her fault that she's in such a bad mood.

It's his, as usual. ]

[ So when she catches sight of him (and it is him, she'd recognize that face anywhere), she's more than ready to let him have it.

Taking that towel from his hands roughly, Aoko starts hitting him with it with as much force as she can muster. ]

Bakaito! [ Smack smack smack. ] This is all your fault, isn't it?

[ Not good! ]

Ow! Ow! Hey! Cut it out!

[ Stupid Aoko. Of COURSE she'd recognize him as Shinichi as Kaito. Who he was but pretending to be Shinichi-His life just liked to get more and more complicated, didn't it? ]

St-stop! I'm not-not-You have have me confused for someone else!

[ ...Like that's going to get her to stop hitting him. If anything, it just urges her to hit him harder. ]

Aoko's not going to fall for that! Now put me back!

Wh-what do you mean 'put you back'? I've been kidnapped, same as you!

[ STOP BEING SUCH A WUSS AND TAKE IT LIKE A MAN. ]

[Conan was out on the plaza today thinking about the situation he had landed in. Between discovering what Kid had managed to do to his life and dealing with his guilt over leaving Ran alone here he had not had nearly enough time to spare to investigate the greater situation.

At the sound of the commotion he comes running to investigate.]

[ahouko]

[ Aoko's looking around for the slightest hint of someone familiar at this point, still muttering curses and promises of pain. Well, that or a weapon of some sort, which will be useful when she finds the person she's looking for.

Caught up in all that, she doesn't seem to notice Conan at first, her back to him. ]

Ne, ne! Miss? Are you okay?

[ What a stupid question. As she turns around, she can't help but snap:]

[ --oh. That's a kid. As angry as she is, she's not mean enough to yell at such a young child. She's immediately deflating. ]

...I'm a little cold.

That's easy to fix! You should dry off as soon as you can. I can show you where to find a towel.

[ Nodding. Drying off sounds like a good first step. ]

A towel would be nice.

[He starts walking toward the shops surrounding the edges of the plaza.]

All of the shops around here stock towels for new visitors.
