[ Once Kaito managed to get everything squared away with the detective he led him back out of the house and to the front door where he unlocks said door and pushes it open to let Conan in first. ]

[Conan was very unhappy about a lot of different things right now. The fact that he'd been kidnapped to this completely illogical place, the fact that Ran was here as well and vulnerable to all of the dangers of the situation...

And most of all, being forced to play along with this ridiculous charade. It had taken Kid a great deal of time to convince him to go along with this. Even so, he had no intention of making this easy for the thief.]

Welcome home! [Ran looked up from the dinner she'd been preparing ingredients for. Her smile was bright (as always--it's Shinichi, after all!) though she couldn't get a clear view of the boy in the doorway.

Grabbing a towel and wiping off her hands, she walked into the living room to greet Shinichi.] Did you bring a visitor?

[Ran stopped when her eyes fell on Conan. At first her face only reflected a look of utter shock before her face lit up with a bright, teary smile.]

You found him!!

[Conan recognized that look on her face. He'd made her sad again, even if he couldn't remember being here before or leaving her alone. It seemed like that was all he could ever do.]

[Ran pauses, taking in the sight of the little boy she'd scoured the entirety of the bubble for, but to no avail. She looks on the verge of hugging him, but instead she takes him by the shoulders and shakes him.]

You had me worried sick!! Do you have any idea how many days I went looking for you?! Where did you run off to?!

[ Okay, that's much worse. ]

[ Kaito immediately swoops down to pull Ran away from the small boy as she's the one in hysterics right now. ]

Oi! He didn't run off anywhere, Ran. He left Vatheon for a time and only recently came back. I know that because he was soaked when I found him. I took him to dry off and we had a brief chat about this place where I noticed he didn't remember anything about this place.

He resurfaced right around the new arrivals do in the same spot they show up. Therefore I can conclude that he had been sent home and upon leaving this place lost all memories of it. So found as I said, isn't the right word. The word-or words I would use would be that picked him up.

[Turning back to Conan, she smiles softly.] This place must be scary and strange, huh?

I'd say so! I had a lot of fun! Though Shinichi was a bit of a stick in the mud. [She playfully elbows Shinichi at that and winks.] I'm sure if he'd had a glass of champagne we would've danced a bit more!
