[Finding a suitable containment vessel was up to Ky, but Zelda considered it her job to make sure that the demon did not escape during the exorcism process. As such, she's been up on the island since an ungodly hour, carefully digging containment runes into the ground. They glow softly when she's finished and she lets out a sigh of relief.

There. Now it's just time to wait for everyone else...]

[Ky had spent a lot of time trying to find something suitable, and immersed in research in order to determine what sort of restrictions on the vessel that there might be. His resources here were relatively limited, but he finally found a silver box of sorts, and had gone to some efforts to attach crosses on it. It seems like a good idea to invoke the correct God somewhere in this whole process.

He arrives early as well, not so much because he wishes to Zelda but because he does want her or anyone to have the chance to bring up any concerns they have to him. He studies the markings she's made as he approaches, and then nods to her.]

I hope they work.

[Cielo doesn't like this idea one bit.

As he soars above the island in his demon form, he wonders if perhaps he's just being overly worried or something, but he has a bad feeling about this whole thing.

Having hunger sucks. A lot. Having to devour and having to keep it a secret from almost everyone outside the Tribe is terrible. He hates it, especially here in Vatheon.

At the same time, Dyaus is a part of who he is. As a demon, he can do things that he can't as a human. He can use magic and fly, and he can share the wonders of flying with others.

Demons are good too, he thinks, but he also knows that not everyone shares his opinion. Like this, he's stronger. More useful. With his fangs and claws, he can better protect his comrades. Still, he thinks as he approaches the exorcism spot, if his demon stands between him, his Tribe, and Nirvana, then he would give all that up without question.

But is it selfish of him to wish that he could have both?

It's time for him to land, so he descends and...collides with something invisible in the air.

The hell is this?

He backs up and tries one more time and again hits the invisible wall. It's just like when he ran into the barrier around the island for the first time.

Okay fine, he'll just land over here then and revert, the tattoo on his right leg glowing purplish blue briefly once he's finished. He makes his way over to where the wall is and reaches up to touch it.

He touches nothing. Huh.

Cielo walks onward, briefly looking down at the glowing runes as he does, but he soon turns his attention to the people there. There's Zelda and...that must be that guy.]

Good morning, Zelda.

[Ky doesn't get a greeting.]

[The reaction Cielo's demon has to her barrier is heartening. After all, these were not the demons of her world. She hadn't been one hundred percent certain that it would work as planned.

That doesn't stop her from giving Ky a saccharine smile when it does.

She turns to Cielo with a real smile, waving genially.]

Good morning, Cielo. It's been awhile, hasn't it?

[Seeing Zelda lets Cielo put aside his worries and misgivings momentarily. He gives her his best grin.]

Ja, long time. The plants are growing really well. You should come see them sometime.

[bufudine]

[Meanwhile, Serph's approaching with that really leisurely walk of his. Serph isn't the last one to arrive? The world is going to end! He's within distance to see Cielo bounce off something invisible. And again. It seems Zelda's already set up.

This is a promising start.

When Serph is actually within conversation distance, he gives all parties already here a nod in greeting.]

[And with Serph comes Gale, moving a bit more purposefully than his leader. He too notes Dyaus bouncing off the barrier Zelda made- it's a good start to this, at least, especially when the rest of it is so uncertain.

Because he is not Serph, he talks as soon as he's in range.]

Is everything ready?

[Ky nods to all of them, although he'd tensed up while Cielo had been in his demon form.]

My part is.

[He nods to Zelda, assuming from the way she'd been standing around that the preparations which she'd needed to do were likewise completed.]

Everything should be ready, yes. The barrier seems to be working on the transformed state as well, so we should be able to begin.

[Zelda steps into the center of the runes, motioning for everyone to follow.]

Who will we be attempting it on?

[This is good to hear. Serph half turns and nods in Gale's direction, indicating that Gale is the one who will have the exorcism performed on.

There are only two choices, really, Gale or Cielo, and Gale is the one who likes his demon least. Additionally, if anything goes wrong, it will be easier to neutralise Vayu compared to Dyaus.]

[And on top of that both of them actually care about Cielo enough to not volunteer him for it for being a useless member of the tribe, the way Gale might once have done.

So he steps forward as Serph nods at him.]

On me.

[zelda_hylia]

[Zelda dips her head to Gale politely. She hasn't met him yet, so even if it's likely that Serph or Cielo gave him her name, she'll introduce herself.]

My name is Zelda. I realize these circumstances are a bit strange to meet under, but it's good to meet you nonetheless. Please, everyone step inside the runes. You should be able to without difficulty so long as you are not transformed.

[Ky takes a step in, offering Gale a smile that's full of confidence.]

[Cielo looks down at the runes before stepping into them. Even with Zelda here, he doesn't feel any more confident about this. However, it's not his place to say anything. After all, it might work, and that's a good thing.

Right?]

[Serph nods, and steps into the runes. While it's nice to see that the runes had repelled Cielo, he's still guarded. After all, Cielo hadn't been actively attacking. It's still best to be cautious.

He'll be watching and listening, doing his wallflower leader thing.]

[Gale nods, both in response to Ky and in response to Zelda, and steps inside the runes. He stands forward, resting one hand on his hip, looking rather calm considering what they're about to be doing, despite the worries of the other members of his tribe.]

Is there anything that needs to be done before we begin?

[Zelda glances at Ky's containment item. Well, she can always transpose the runes from the ground to the box if she has to, she supposes.]

That should be about it. Is there a particular spot on your body where the energy of your demon is focused, sir?

[Her job will be much easier if there's an obvious area like there is with Serph, but she can manage even if he lacks such a thing.]

[Gale gestures to the twister marking on his left leg. He has one, and it's not even in an awkward place like his butt! unlike someone in his canon]

The energy of the Atma is concentrated here.

Very well. I'll raise the barrier now.

[Zelda concentrates, drawing on Nayru's power to call a barrier up from the runes around them. It looks like a large, three-dimensional blue triangle has formed around them. It's also formed beneath them, encasing the group in a diamond formation.]

Please sit down and try to relax.

[Ky studies the barrier with some interest, avoiding the urge to poke it with his own magic to find out what it's made of. He doesn't wish to jeapordize any part of the process.]

Is there anywhere in particular you want me?

[He gestures at the ground, if not he'll simply be seated with the rest of them. Still, he considers himself the last resort if the demon needs to be fought, and being ready for that requires something less than relaxation.]

[Serph isn't entirely sure whether Zelda is referring to Gale or all of them in general, but he isn't about to sit down regardless; if something goes wrong, he wants to be ready for action.

He does take a step back so he's closer to the edge of the barrier and out of everyone's way, though. But he's carefully watching the proceedings.]

It does not particularly matter where you are, Ky. Try to stay somewhat nearby with the box, though.

[She is referring to Gale for the most part, but no one has told her his name and she's not sure how to make that clear! She looks to Gale.]

You and I will be in the center here, alright? I'm going to try to calm your demon a bit before attempting removal.

[And at that, she takes out her harp. She isn't going to just play the Song of Healing on its own this time, the hand that contains the Triforce of Wisdom is already glowing visibly.]

[With that permission, Ky shifts to a comfortable distance, still standing. He's careful not to go too far, at least for his definition of the word.

He stays quiet as Zelda removes her harp and her hand starts to glow. This is just magic, however she might be attempting to claim otherwise with the runes, and magic is different from religion. It still makes him mildly uncomfortable, but only mildly because, after all, what matters here is that they are able to help Gale.]

[Even though he's not the one being exorcised, the music is extremely soothing to Cielo.

It's hard for him to be pissy when he hears that.

Still, he has one hand on one of his item packs. He brought Shock Bombs. Just in case things go terribly wrong.]

[Zelda begins singing along with it, looking to Gale and trying to sense if his demon is quieting at all. She's putting her power behind the song, so hopefully it is.]

[He sits in the center of the circle a short distance from Zelda. He's calm, but not relaxed- he's never been one to relax, especially not in the presence of people who are not part of the tribe.

Serph has a recording of Zelda's song that he often plays around Embryon's base, but it feels different in person. He's reminded of the feeling of Sera's song, that first time when he attacked Cielo.]

It seems to be working.
