[It isn't necessarily safe for Shirley to let her guard down here-- not with Mao around. But nevertheless, not even Mao could stop her from enjoying the beautiful flowers that have recently started popping up all over Vatheon. She couldn't help herself, and picked a whole basket's worth, even bringing some home for Suzaku--although there's a lot more here than just that.

It's way too much for just Suzaku, so naturally, anyone who knows Shirley knows who she's thinking of giving some to. It's just a matter of getting the courage to go over there...

To approach him the way she did before, and start over fresh.

Could she do that...?

Heh. She doesn't really know; but she finds herself knocking on his apartment's door anyway, alone and without moral support. Perhaps it's the flowers that have put her in a good mood; she doesn't seem to think she needs any.

[ c.c. is quite aware that she was supposed to be careful as per lelouch's suggestion— read: she doesn't take demands. however, at the sound of a knock on the apartment door so early in the morning, she decidedly rolls of the couch and heads to answer it without thinking. she's positive it isn't mao— she'd be able to tell if it were, without having to confirm with mere vision. jamming her feet into a pair of slippers nearby the sofa and lazily buttoning a shirt on over her underwear (albeit very messily and not doing a good job of thus) she's heads to the door with a yawn. her vision is somewhat bleary, but she manages to clasp the cold doorknob in her hand and open it successfully anyway. ]

Lelouch, it's your girlfriend.. [ said loud enough so that he might hear her from where he was upstairs—

and then she shuts the door again, heading back over to the sofa. ]

[When Lelouch hears Shirley at the door, he's already on his way down to go get it. He's...actually kind of surprised that C.C. was the one that got it, but hey. He stays up there when he notices she's gone--

--until she slams the door in the guest's face. When he hears her speak up again, he fights the urge to groan and begins coming downstairs again.]

Last time I checked, I didn't have a girlfriend. [And with his noodley legs and brackets I can't take seriously he crosses the apartment in great strides to answer the door!!!

anyway yeah, he opens the door again, speaking before he even really has it open all the way:] I'm sorry, I don't know what's gotten into her...

Honestly, she really has no idea what just happened. It feels like she barely had any time to react, before the door was slammed in her face, but now all of a sudden, here's Lulu.

A peek in the door behind him and she can see that she's eating said pizza. She seems pretty protective of it, too, so uh--she's really not sure it's a good idea to accept that offer. But she's come all the way here and it took a lot of courage to convince herself--

C.C.'s look seems to suggest otherwise, but since she doesn't seem to be saying anything, she'll do what Lelouch is doing and ignore her for now. She does want an answer to her question, though--and she does get one, although it isn't quite what she's expecting.
