New Roommate!

 Who: Prussia and Italy
Where: Prussia's House (Phanga Neighbourhood)
When: 9th May
Style: Prose
Status: Closed

Gilbert was legitimately excited as fuck. The house he managed to get was too large for one person, and now that he was going to have someone else sharing - someone who could cook and clean, mind you - he was darting about in an excitable tizzy. He prepped the guest room by airing out the spare sheets and slipping them on the mattress, pillows and duvet, and even did a quick hoover through the house. He may hate cleaning, but that didn't mean he wanted Italy to think he lived like a complete slob. Contrary to popular belief, Gilbert was tidy...

He just hated cleaning. That was all.

By the time he was done, Gilbert was ready to flop on the sofa and go to sleep. He refrained and instead sat in the living room, glancing over at the window every so often in hopes of catching sight of Italy, before scowling and looking away, ashamed at being so, well, desperate. The house really was too big for one person, he had felt lonely by himself... Although he would sooner kill himself than admit that out loud. Clustering was for the weak and all that.

God, with how many times he repeated that that may as well be his catchphrase now.

Italy nodded. "It was fun~~" Oh right. Food~! He turned to make sure the pasta hadn't burnt since he wasn't paying attention. Thankfully only a few things had stuck to the sides of the pots. Perfectly salvageable.

Italy shook his head. "Ve, ve, it's okay. Nothing burned." And like any good chef, Italy was a stickler for not letting things burn or stick.

Italy smiled. Well this time, Gilbert wouldn't be eating anything burnt. He stirred the sauce one more time before taking the pot of pasta over to the sink to drain it. "Almost done and not burnt~"

"Pretty well!" Italy replied. "People like getting fresh bread, so it's been busy~~"

"There isn't much of an economy here," Italy replied. Now if he were at home, then the answer would simply be yes. He'd be finally raking in the cash for his poor country. "But I've gotten some starfish tokens from the locals for bread."

Italy nodded. "I keep getting them but I dunno what I'd want to get. Would you like some, Prussia?"

Italy nodded. "You can have all of them if you'd like." He never used them. He never really thought of what to do with them. All of his business expenses were taken care of by the locals. He had nothing to spend them on (unless somehow he could buy Germany's way here, which was apparently not possible).
