☽ A Game of Ping Pong
Characters: Minato and you!
Location: In a building just off of the center plaza
Time: All dayyyy
Style: Whatever works!
Status: Open open open!
[It is the strangest thing, to remember dying and then wake up as if nothing had happened. It left him strangely restless, and so he'd skipped out on Welcoming Committee duties, he'd drifted a little away from his social life for just a brief period of time--
He'd died in that strange place, that place that wasn't Vatheon.
But...he'd woken up alive, headphones around his neck and not pressed into Tiir's hands. Was something that vivid really just a dream? So he wandered, in search of something to expend his restless energy on.
And he's found himself at a ping pong table. At first he considers that lack of an opponent a problem, bouncing the ball on the table idly. But then he decides to play with the wall (it doesn't seem to bother him that he can't ever win that way).
So there is the click! click! click! of a ping pong ball being hit back and forth coming from an otherwise quiet building into the plaza. He might be getting a little into it.
Further inspection reveals a whiffed shot--don't get hit by the ball!]

It seemed to be working out. The wall has won a lot, but it's still good practice.
no subject
Don't know how the wall would win, but that could be just me. [Possibly.] Maybe you just really suck.
[And the rudeness begins again.]
no subject
I mean, it never really misses.
[...yeah.
And he doesn't mind the rudeness.]
But I think I'm alright at the game. It's fun, at least.
no subject
--Minus just now, ya mean. [She shrugs, though.] Show me how good you are, then.
no subject
You want to play, Kyouko-san?
[But yeah he just goes to find the other paddle for her.
YAY SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH.]
no subject
[This should be good...let's go, Minato. It's been a while since she's played ping pong, but she's got good reflexes at least.
It's a magical girl thing.]
no subject
[:|b GANBATTE.
But he just lifts up the ball and bounces it over to her side.
He certainly won't go easy either, and he's got shadow-huntin' reflexes. This bout could go on for awhile.]
LOL THIS ISN'T LATE AT ALL weeps
[She walks over to her side and bounces the ball back to him, as she shifts her weight from foot to foot.
She's got this.]
I'M ONLY A LITTLE BIT LATER RIGHT
How have you been, Kyouko-san?
[And he hits the ball back, bouncing it gently to her.]
IT'S OKAY
Good enough, I guess. You?
[She bounces it back without missing a beat, although it was a little more rough than the way Minato had hit it to her.]
no subject
Which is why he quickly moves to the ball and hits it back, a little bit harder.]
That's good to hear. I've been alright.
[other than the dying and getting eaten thing.]
no subject
She counters quickly, hitting back harder as well. She's trying to throw him off, but he seems like the type to be a little harder to beat.]
Good. I'd hate for to lose my canvas, after all.
[Meaning your face, Minato.]
no subject
Wouldn't it make sense to find a canvas where you wouldn't lose your works of art?
[No he's not bothered by his face being a drawing board, he's bothered she might lose her artwork.]
no subject
Probably.]
What's the fun in that? The canvas cleans it all up for ya, and who knows? I might do it again one day when ya least expect it.
[She snickers a little.] Besides, all the people who got pissed off was pretty great too.
no subject
Aww yeah it's intense ping-pong.]
People were angry at you?
[He's kind of surprised.
He didn't expect that.]
no subject
But the ball gets past her this time, and shrugs before going to get it.]
'Course they were. They thought it was rude for drawing on your face or somethin'.
[She serves the ball, starting it off with a rough swing.]
no subject
Sweet he got a point. But that serve is tougher to return, and he almost hits it too far.
Whew, this is intense.]
Huh. I'm sorry that they got mad at you, then.
[Minato stop. No Minato no.]
no subject
What're ya apologizing for? Don't apologize for them - it's not like I care, anyway. Not like I've never had people mad at me before.
[Smack! she's hitting it back quickly. Keep up, Minato!]
no subject
A blink.
And he goes to fetch it before returning.]
Do people get mad at you often, then?
[And he serves the ball.]
no subject
Pretty much. But it's funny to see their reactions anyway.
[Hitting the ball back now.]
