First Cup of Tea

Who: Uncle Iroh and You!
Where: In the Plaza
When: Early Afternoon
Style: Action
Status: Open
-

[Uncle Iroh was nothing if not the most generous man you would ever meet. Arrive in a new place, soaking wet with no idea how you got there? See other people in a similar situation? While a normal person might freak out and demand what was going on, all Iroh saw was equally confused people who desperately needed some nice, soothing tea. And as luck would have it, he had some tea leaves right there in his pocket! And also some tiny cups. Because he was always prepared that way.

They might have been a little damp with sea water and it wasn't his best cup of tea, but he had set to work (with a little bit of sneaky firebending of course, shhhh) and had some tea brewing very soon, passing out cups to random people with a large smile on his face. He was also still soaking wet, because he'd declined the towel. More, less fortunate people than him needed it!]

Please, do return your cups to me after you finish, so that others may have some tea as well!

[Ioder wobbles a bit at the pat (he really is too small for his own good sometimes. Would blow away in a high wind if that were possible) but smiles in spite of it.]

Ah, well... it's called Vatheon. As you can see we're under water, though when and where is anyone's guess. I myself am from a world called Terca Lumireis, though I know for a fact no place like this exists there.

There are the people native to Vatheon who have never known anything outside the bubble, and there are those like you and I who have been pulled here by a force outside of our control, from many different worlds and many different times.

[he pauses to sip at his tea, then adds as an after thought]

I have been told that time doesn't pass in our own worlds while we're here though. Should we return, it would be as though we never left.

[Another pause, though this one has him looking away, a bit of an odd but sad expression on his young features]

It's one of the few things that gives me comfort here...

I've been here several months myself, but I'm afraid you're right - answers are not easy to come by here, if you can come by them at all.

[At least he's taking it well, though Ioder knows from his own experience that age generally makes it easier to accept the odder things in life, even something as crazy as inter-demensional travel and under water cities.]

There is a Welcome Center not too far from here that can give you a few more details, and the housing here is free, so you need only to find a place to settle in to.
