Won't anyone come and soothe my pain?
Who: Hubert Ozwell, OPEN
Where: Plaza
When: Late afternoon
Style: Fine with anything
Status: Open
Another new arrival, another person waterlogged in the plaza. Today it's a young man, no older than seventeen or eighteen, in a heavy uniform of some sort that might actually be familiar to a few people in Vatheon. There's a pair of glasses near by, having fallen off his face at some point, and a very large double-bladed staff weapon under his right hand as if he'd been holding on to it moments before.
There's a small problem, though.
He's unconscious. And not moving.
What do, Vatheonites?

[He doesn't give much in the way of comment to her explanation, but her question does get a more interested response, looking up at her over the top of his tea cup.]
Yes. Please. That would be helpful.

This is the Starfish Communicator, as mentioned in the brochure there. You should have one on your person, as well as the mark of Vatheon.
[Seeing the mark is only going to happen on request, sorry Hubert. She passes her SFC to him.]
That's a list of all the foreigners currently within the city.

He takes it, scrolling through the names slowly. Two names stand out to him and get something of a happy expression, but one actually gets...
Well.
Actually his expression is sort of unreadable.]
Some of my friends are here.

[She doesn't give in to the urge to look over his shoulder, as strong as it is.]
Would you like me to show you how to call them? Or you can get cleaned up. There is a shower here.
no subject
I think I can wait a while before speaking with them. A shower actually sounds nice after all this...

[Zelda gets up and crosses the room, opening the door to the little bathroom. Wanting to wash the salt off is totally a normal reaction to arriving in Vatheon!]
no subject
Thank you.
[He nods to her and stands, but hesitates near the door]
I'm sorry, I didn't get your name, Miss... ?

[She steps to the side to let him in the bathroom, smiling.]

[He puts a hand to his chest and bows politely.]
I am Hubert Ozwell. I would like to repay your kindness, when I'm more settled.
no subject
[It sounds like she genuinely means it, but it is hard to tell with someone new.]
no subject
Well, none the less, I'll extend an offer - should you ever need any assistance I will be more than glad to help when and where I can.

[She steps to the side to let him in the bathroom. Maybe she should ask Minato about putting a cat door on it so that people can push their clothes out... something to think about.]

A little longer, and he emerges, dressed and clean. He's much more presentable like this, and though his serious expression hasn't changed much it's clearer he's happier too.]
Thank you. That's much better.

[She's got her SFC out and ready, Hubert! Don't you need more Pascal in your life right this instant?]
no subject
Yes. The sooner the better.

[Taking out her own SFC, she moves close so that Hubert can watch over her shoulder as she slowly brings up a contact list and scrolls through it until she finds a name. She selects the person and sends them a short text message. After that, she switches it to audio.]
This is the audio function. It will send your voice.
[And finally, she switches to video.]
This is the video function. It will send your voice and image.
[And send! Hubert, it's your SFC that's making noise now.]

[Though not nearly as odd as Pascal's method of communication.
The beeping on his gets a quiet 'hm?' noise as he takes it out and looks it over, fumbling with it for a moment before he applies what she showed him to the functions, bringing up the message.]
A remarkable device, if nothing else. Thank you for showing me.

[Tucking her own SFC away, she waves at him. She certainly doesn't mind staying, but if she were in his shoes... she'd want to contact her friends as quickly as possible, and privately.]

[he puts a hand to his chest and bows curtly, taking his leave a few seconds later. He meant what he said about his offer for help, but he does quietly hope this means there's a chance at friendship for them somewhere down the line.
Not that he'd ever say that out loud.]
