Tea party!

[Zelda informs Zelos that they will be having a visitor after she gets off the SFC with Guy, then goes about making some rose hip tea. She still has the cake that she'd been planning to invite Shizuo over to share with her and Zelos, but... that won't be happening anytime soon. After some hesitation, she sets it on the table as well. Izaya's tea set. Shizuo's cake. It hurts, but it spurs her on too. She can't despair, she has to figure Vatheon out.]

Aren't you? At the very least you want her to notice you. You dressed up to come over and you were pretty overly polite but only to her. You even ate those cookies even though you obviously didn't like 'em!

I know you can't touch her but man you're sure acting like you want to.

Hah, I don't know when treating a woman with the dignity she deserves suddenly became code for a man wanting his hands all over her. [A hand moves to gently rest against his hip.] Not sure I could agree with that.

Not really the type to draw attention to myself, honestly, so I don't know where you got that idea. And one doesn't need special reason to be polite - sometimes it's just a manner of your company. I did the things I did out of courtesy. Nothing wrong with that.

[The hesitation may have only been for a split second but it was obvious enough to Zelos; Guy's at least partially lying to him. That's fine, though. Personal stuff, matters of the heart, and there's the unspoken bro code that Zelos won't say a word to anyone else until Guy does first, of course. He's totally certain he wouldn't want Guy prying if their situations were reversed, in any case, so instead of pressing the blonde for the truth, he gives him a knowing look, hooks his hands behind his head, and continues the path they'd been walking.]

Whatever you say, man. I'm make sure to tell her just how much you loved her lemon cookies, then.

Hmm~ It's true. Maybe you should come give her some pointers since she gets cooking better the way you explain it.

Aaa, come on, man, what did I just say? She's just a friend! If I spend time with her, one-on-one or otherwise, that's the only reason why.

[He gives Guy a lighthearted shove back in retaliation, careful to keep his strength at normal human levels. He really will let it go now; it wouldn't do to back Guy into a corner of denial or anything.

The split towards the grocery comes up all too soon and Zelos bids Guy a jovial goodnight.]

As long as you're up for something other than insulting my fashion sense? [Guy shrugs, letting his expression easily break into a grin.] I don't have a problem with that at all.

[He gives a sharp little salute with two fingers - a corny little gesture when accompanied with that grin, but it's still genuine, even as he turns and continues his way down towards the apartments.
