Who: N and Hilda
When: July 4, 2013 - Afternoon
Where: Their Apartment
Style: [ brackets ]
Status: Closed
[ She had felt fine up until this morning. She'd heard things about people being afflicted with a sudden cold feeling, but she hadn't had anything happen to her until it had all compounded and hit her today. So, now, she was huddled underneath a blanket, with a sweater on.
She was still freezing.
Hilda was glad that none of her Pokemon were out of their Pokeballs at the current moment, because she knew all six of them would be worried for her. She didn't want that.
She was worrying, though. She hadn't seen or heard from N all day, and she knew he probably didn't know if she was okay, either. So, she forced herself up and out of her bed, hair down and a complete mess, blanket still wrapped around her small, shivering frame and dragging on the floor around and behind her ... she walked to his room, pushing open his door a little to check in on him. Maybe he was hit with the same thing? ]
N ...?

N ...?

It was Zoroark that responded rather than N himself, the large fox sitting up and motioning with a paw and a worried whine for her to come in.]

N ...

[N's voice came out in a stutter, weak and tremor-laden. He was practically buried under those blankets, yet his skin was cold to the touch, and his cheeks were the sort of red that would have come with standing out in a high winter wind. He reached a trembling hand out to her.
Instead of being concerned for his own well being, though, he asked about hers.]
A-a-are... y-you... alright... ?
no subject
A little c-cold, but ... I-I can handle it. I-I'm worried about you ...
no subject
Weakly, he smiled, and actually offered something almost akin to a joke.]
A-at least... we're cold... t-together...
no subject
I-Is it okay if I lay in bed w-with you guys ..?
[ Body heat might help ... though if laying in bed with Zoroark wasn't helping, she didn't know how much help she would be. Still, more never hurt ... ]
no subject
Hesitantly, N nodded, pulling the blankets up so she could crawl in.]

Slowly, though, his shivers subsided, and he felt warmth working back in to his body. His joints still ached, and it was highly probable that he was already ill from the effects of the continuing curse throughout the week, but this was an improvement at least.]
Feeling any better... ?
no subject
Hilda found herself cuddling a little closer to N, the new warmth in her body making her only want more of it, if she could possibly have it. She looks up at him as he asks about her own well-being, nodding a bit and smiling. ]
Mhm. How about you?
no subject
He doesn't complain about her moving closer, and even aids it by shifting his arms to go around her.
As much as he wants to say he's doing better, the cold wasn't the only problem.]
I'm... warmer.
no subject
[ She will get an answer out of you, N. Though, there's an odd, happy feeling that rises in her chest as she feels his arms around her. Hilda's just going to ignore that for now. Right now, his well-being was more important. ]
no subject
[Oh no...]
no subject
You feel like you might have a fever ...
[ Oh no, he caught a cold ... she sighs, then smiles at him a little. ]
I'll take care of you, okay? You probably just caught a cold. It should go away soon if I help you with the recovery process.
no subject
[he turns his head in to his arm to cough thickly, groaning once he's finished.]
I don't... want you to get ill, especially if this curse continues to make you cold.
no subject
[ You are not talking her out of this, awkward manchild. She looks pretty set on the idea. ]
I'll find ways to deal with the cold if it happens. I just want to help you feel better.
no subject
Alright... but please take care of yourself, too.
no subject
Slowly (and reluctantly), she pulled herself out of N's arms and sat up, smiling warmly down at him. ]
I'll go heat up some soup for you. Just rest here, okay? I'll be back soon.
no subject
Thank you, Hilda...
no subject
After it begins to heat up, she starts thinking about what else could be done to help N recover ... did this place carry cold medication? She would think that it would obviously carry it for the health and benefit of the people stranded here, but it never hurt to double-check, right?
So, with that in mind, Hilda turned to the network.
After receiving a confirmation from a ... rather strange gentleman (but who was she to judge? the company she kept was pretty strange, themselves), she turned the stove off, poured the soup into a bowl, grabbed a spoon, and made her way back to N. She stepped into the room. ]
Can you sit up?
[ It had only been a short time, but she could feel the cold creeping back slowly ... she tried not to show it. ]
no subject
When she returned, he groaned quietly, but nodded underneath the blankets and slowly sat up, messy hair even worse off than it normally was.]
no subject
The shivers had subsided for little bit as she touched N, so when she went to hand him the bowl of soup, she wasn't shivering anymore. She was thankful for that, but she knew that the cold had come back pretty quickly before ... ]
Be careful, it's still hot.
no subject
Thank you. I don't think I've ever been this ill before...
no subject
[ She sighs, and stands up again. ]
I'm going to go get some cold medication for you, okay? I'll be back as soon as I can.
no subject
Alright. I'll be here...
