Please others with love, please your heart with song
Who: Cielo and anybody in the area
When: March 15th, midday
Where: Plaza
Style: Your choice, I'll match you
Status: Open
Those who pass by the plaza today, whether they're battle weary adventurers or normal civilians, may hear the sounds of music in the air (and perhaps feel their magic statistics raise by 1). If they choose to follow it, they'll find Vatheon's only bard with dreadlocks standing near a fountain. His bard outfit is mostly blue with accents of pink, purple, and green and in the classy cap on his head, there's an orange feather. In his hands is a pale purple stringed instrument connected to a small amplifier.
Is that...a guitar he's playing?
Wrong! It's too small. And it doesn't sound quite right for a guitar.
No, Cielo is playing a ukulele.
An electric ukulele.
He's pretty good at it too.
Care to stop and listen? Dance to the music? Chat? Maybe whip out your own instrument and play along? He'd welcome any company.

She happened upon the music and searched for the source of the music. Following the sound, she entered the plaza and saw the man there. Slowly she walked forward, gently tapping her staff on the ground as she walked causing a wood on cobble sound to echo slightly. Stopping a ways off, she tilted her head slightly as she continued to listen.

So now that he had someone's attention, he needed to impress, so Cielo started playing a more technically difficult song, fast and upbeat.

As the song sped up, Naoto adjusted her stance some. She inclined her head taking each note and beat in. She may be a mage now, but she's still a detective at heart. Even detectives pay attention to music and rhythms.

Once he's finished, he puts the instrument down on top of the amplifier for a short break.
"So, what do you think? Good, ja?"
no subject
"It was very good," she nodded. She made sure to speak with her more feminine voice for this.

The blue dread locks are what gives it away before she even sees the instrument. As she approaches Cielo, she's smiling, but it turns into a confused frown when she finally sees what he's playing.
"What is that?"

He had literally woken up blessed with the knowledge of not only how to play the little instrument, but also what it was. He assumes that it's just another part of the curse.

She was burning the petals off of a flower when she heard the music. Her head tipped curiously to the side and she stood up, following the sound until she finally found the source. What... what in the hell was that he was playing.
She found herself sitting on the edge of the fountain, watching him with a fair amount of fascination.

The entire point of this performance was to bring a little cheer to the bubble, after all.

It's a little hard to miss, really, but it isn't hard to figure out who it is. She approaches Cielo, though the amplified music may conceal her footsteps.
"Putting on a show today?" she asks; having already heard his playing before.
no subject
"You got that right, sis." Ever since he had discovered that he was able to play music on the ukulele, he was immediately delighted by it and wanted to make the most out of the possibly temporary skill as he could. "Thought people would appreciate it, ja?"
no subject
"I didn't mean to interrupt."

Some leave, satisfied, but others come to take their place. It's like the audience ebbs and flows, like the ocean . . .
"Where did you learn all of these songs?" she asks, in an amused tone. And here she thought she'd heard all the practicing he did . . .

"This curse has had interesting effects." He gestures to Cielo's instrument, and then to the hornbill that has been following Gale around all week. "Or are these skills you have been developing on your own?"
no subject
"It's from the curse." He pauses a moment, as if mulling over something. "But I wouldn't mind learning how to play an instrument on my own."

Gale examines the instrument, then shrugs. "I do not doubt there would be someone willing to teach you. Is this playing the only thing you have done with these new skills?
no subject
"Ja, I mean, what else am I going to do?"
