a very important date
Who: Yukari, Serph, & Cielo
Where: Starting at the Embryon base. Then we are winging the fuck out of this.
When: Yukari's biiirthdaaay aka backdated to the 19th, after these.
Style: tl;dr in brackets--
Status: Closed.
[It isn't really unusual for Yukari to take a while, getting dressed for the day. She is pretty much your typical girl, and though she was close to graduating before being whisked away here over a year ago, she never quite made it out of that high school mindset where appearances matter.
She's only given herself a half an hour this time, though, and that includes travel time to the Embryon's base, too. Maybe she'd rather not spend her time in this empty dormitory if she doesn't have to; maybe she's rushing herself a little, but nevertheless, she makes sure she looks more than presentable, donned in her favorite colors and shades.
She also takes special care in putting on a certain special necklace that Minato had given to her as a present, this very day last year.
And after taking one last look at herself in the mirror, she hurries off, tucking her SFC away as she walks off towards the forest quadrant.
Who would be the first to greet her?
. . . Well. Either way, they'll be greeted with a much more mellow and subdued Yukari than the excitable one from earlier texts. There's a sigh that escapes her lips as she allows her mind to wander.]
Jeez. I'm gonna be late, aren't I . . .
[Ah . . . oh well.]

He's already waiting just outside the base, checking on the plants and doing his very best to resist the urge to eat them. Especially the roses. They look delicious...]
no subject
While he's waiting for Yukari, he does give Cielo a Look; the roses are not for eating!!]
no subject
. . . In any case, she isn't entirely surprised when she she arrives and finds both of them already waiting.
She waves as she approaches, because she already sees them; she blinks, and then--
is definitely trying not to laugh at their animal features, yep. And wow, are those normal clothes, Serph?]
Sorry to keep you guys. I guess I should've given myself more time.
[. . . Just. Allowing all of that to sink in for a moment.]
no subject
No problem.
no subject
It's fine.
[Besides, he pretty much only just arrived himself. The only reason he's not the last one to show up is because he lives here.]
no subject
. . . I like the new look.
[It's hard to tell whether she's being sarcastic or not.
. . . But she's not. Mostly.]
no subject
[He points to the ears on his head. They're kind of cute and they don't get in his way, so he doesn't pay much attention to them.]
I have a tail too.
[You just can't see it, but it's made wearing his armor a little bit more of a hassle.]
...yes self, have the tag all written up but forget to click Post Comment
Do you know what animals these are from?
that's okay im being super slow anyway
Hmm.
[Right, but first his question Don't mind her reaching up to touch your ears, Serph.]
Could be a dog of some kind, but you're asking the wrong person if you want specifics.
[It's definitely canine, at any rate. She tilts her head, briefly thinking of Koromaru for a moment before turning to Cielo.]
As for you . . . well, it might help if I saw what your tail looked like.
Re: that's okay im being super slow anyway
I've also been eating a lot of plants.
[NONE FROM THE GARDEN, THANK YOU VERY MUCH]
no subject
But he keeps that question unsaid, watching Cielo and Yukari.]
no subject
There are lots of dog breeds out there!]
A plant eater, huh?
[Hey, that's pretty great. Not that it narrows down animal choices; but if she can get her hands on a book of some sort, she'll probably be able to pinpoint it.]
But, do you guys still get . . . y'know, hungry?
[The question is mainly for Cielo, but she's opened it up to both of them to answer. She doesn't really know how deeply this curse has affected them, and it's something she wouldn't mind knowing.]
no subject
[He hasn't felt any of that kind of hunger lately. While it'll only be a week, it's nice to have a reprieve from the need to devour. This week, he's completely vegetarian. Although sometimes he feels kind of weird stuffing a handful of grass in his mouth.]
no subject
I still do.
[But let's not have the conversation dwell on that. He turns his head in the direction of the Plaza, where many of the shops are.]
Let's go.
no subject
Yeah, of course.
[She begins to lead the way. She loves the shops, of course, but hmm--]
I've been trying to think of places we haven't been yet.
no subject
What do you like to do?
[Besides shopping, that is. Not that he minds shopping at all!]
no subject
Does it need to be a new place?
[There's nothing wrong with returning to the familiar and enjoyable, after all.]
no subject
No, I guess not. But I figured it might be more exciting that way.
[All three of them have been in Vatheon for a while, though, so it's not easy. After a moment of consideration, a suggestion escapes her lips:]
. . . The amusement park might be fun.
no subject
Sounds good to me.
no subject
Still, an amusement park is where one goes to to have fun, right? Serph nods; sounds good to him!]
no subject
It feels odd, not feeling her heart choker against her neck for once, but . . .
Well, it can't be helped. She'll forget about it before long.]
no subject
no subject
What kind of things do you like?
no subject
But nevertheless, she turns to Serph when he asks his question.]
Things? I . . . guess that depends.
[Naturally she's kind of assuming he's asking about a present, albeit in a roundabout way, but . . . seeing as how she hadn't even mentioned her birthday until today, it would seem kind of unfair to expect that of either of them.
Either way, she'll be trying to think of an answer that isn't stupidly generic.]
no subject
[As they're walking, they pass by a low stone wall. Cielo hops onto it and continues walking, both arms outstretched to either side for balance. Not that he really needs to do that, but it seems like a fun thing to do.]
