a very important date
Who: Yukari, Serph, & Cielo
Where: Starting at the Embryon base. Then we are winging the fuck out of this.
When: Yukari's biiirthdaaay aka backdated to the 19th, after these.
Style: tl;dr in brackets--
Status: Closed.
[It isn't really unusual for Yukari to take a while, getting dressed for the day. She is pretty much your typical girl, and though she was close to graduating before being whisked away here over a year ago, she never quite made it out of that high school mindset where appearances matter.
She's only given herself a half an hour this time, though, and that includes travel time to the Embryon's base, too. Maybe she'd rather not spend her time in this empty dormitory if she doesn't have to; maybe she's rushing herself a little, but nevertheless, she makes sure she looks more than presentable, donned in her favorite colors and shades.
She also takes special care in putting on a certain special necklace that Minato had given to her as a present, this very day last year.
And after taking one last look at herself in the mirror, she hurries off, tucking her SFC away as she walks off towards the forest quadrant.
Who would be the first to greet her?
. . . Well. Either way, they'll be greeted with a much more mellow and subdued Yukari than the excitable one from earlier texts. There's a sigh that escapes her lips as she allows her mind to wander.]
Jeez. I'm gonna be late, aren't I . . .
[Ah . . . oh well.]

Jeez. I'm gonna be late, aren't I . . .
[Ah . . . oh well.]

She does realize something, though . . .]
I guess Cielo gets this kind of view all the time.
[Hope you don't get bored, bro.]
no subject
Not one as relaxing as this.
no subject
Although Serph starts out just ~*casually*~ looking out the window, he eventually abandons it for practically leaning against the window. He might be hogging the view just a little bit, especially with the fox ears. But he's giving Yukari a good view of his butt-- oh too bad the fox tail is in the way.]
no subject
I mean, ears. Yukari peers over them in an attempt to enjoy the view, though eventually she just stands. The Ferris wheel carriage rocks a little bit, but otherwise it's an action that is mostly unnoticeable.
. . . Those rides sure look small from up here.]
Hey. From up here, we can decide where to go next.
See?
[She laughs a bit, as if it were a joke or something, but it's really not. Quietly, she wonders if anything will get their attention.]
no subject
Remember you get to pick though.
[You're the leader today, remember?]

So she stays quiet, contemplating.
Decisions, decisions.
. . . Suddenly, while her eyes gloss over a pretty vicious looking rollercoaster nearby, it drops down one of its hills and there's loud screaming from those on the ride.
It's a bit hard to tell whether they're having fun, totally terrified, or both. But either way, Yukari seems to perk up, turning her attention to it.]
no subject
...totally awesome! Oh please pick that Yukari please please please!]
no subject
. . .
. . . . . . Well he's not opposed to trying new things. He points to the rollarcoaster.]
That one?
no subject
She was just looking! Ahh, and it seems like Cielo wants to go on it, of course. He's excited, she can tell . . .]
W - Well, I've never really been on one before. All my friends were always too scared, y'know? [Yep, friends, totally her friends. Not her. She laughs a bit; maybe she can stall.] It's called a rollercoaster.
no subject
It looks fun.
[Way up high, lots of drops and turns and high speeds...he'd have to actually get on it to know for sure, but it seems like it could give a sensation that's similar to flying.]
no subject
We can all try something new today.
[...Although... looking back at that ride... is that really safe...?]
no subject
. . .
Yukari finds herself passively agreeing, nervous grin on her face when she looks back at the ride. She notices Serph doing the same out of the corner of her eye. It seems like he's a bit concerned, though it is a bit hard to tell beneath all the lineface.]
Don't worry . . . there are restraints and stuff so it's not like we'll fall out.
[. . . r i g h t ?]
no subject
If you fall out, I'll catch you.

[Said in a tone as if she'd momentarily forgotten about Dyaus.
Well, Yukari is slightly reassured, at least. Flying must come in handy a lot, really -- but still, she's actually glad to see Serph considering other options. After grinning a bit at Cielo, she turns her attention to the kinds of things Serph is looking at, while she considers other options herself.
Hm.]
Look at those water slides -- it's like they make a rainbow from up here!
no subject
To the other side of the park though, he spots something else, an attraction where people in cars seem to be...driving into each other?]
What's that one over there?
no subject
It seems... dangerous.
[How are they not crashing and exploding into balls of fire? Or at least, needing some serious vehicular repair.]
no subject
Not as dangerous as the rollercoaster, probably. Bumper cars are a lot more kid friendly.
[And yeah, they're pretty much exactly what they sound like.]
no subject
So they just drive into each other for fun?
[WHAT IS THIS. WHAT EVEN? HE DOES NOT COMPREHEND!]
no subject
We can try it after the rollercoaster.
[Clearly watching bumper cars isn't going to do anything; they have to experience it for themselves!]
no subject
Hahaha, she is actually a bit amused at their confusion -- but they'll see soon enough. It's the best way to explain it, really. Serph's got the right idea here.]
I guess we've got a plan.
[Heh heh. Damn rollercoaster.
BUT OH WELL. Hey look, they're back at the bottom again. That wasn't too long of a ride at all, was it?]
no subject
Then let's go, ja?
[The day won't last forever and he wants to do as many things as possible! Fortunately for the three of them, it looks like lines are short today.]
no subject
Serph allows the other two to get in first, before getting in himself. However, ever since they drew close to the rollercoaster, Serph has been glancing about, taking in as much of the rollercoaster and rollercoaster car as he can, trying to assess just how dangerous this is...]
no subject
Yukari's been just as quiet as Serph, as they make their way through the short line; but at least she can get this over with soon. She gets in before Serph, since he's busy staring (and was behind her anyway); thus, she winds up in the middle between the two of them.
Usually rollercoasters seat pairs, but this one seems to seat two of them, making room for four people per row. So there's an empty seat leftover.
She's glances over to it as she's buckling herself in. Hopefully they'll take her example and do the same.]
