Zelda isn't even one hundred percent sure of where she's going once she puts down the SFC. Hylia. A goddess. She's always felt responsible for everything that happened to Hyrule, but if this is the case... she held more responsibility than even she had ever thought. She lays on the bed facedown and hugs a pillow tightly enough that it looks as if it might burst.

"The same way it got ahold of the other goddess in this place, of course. The power of the gods can be harnessed, Zelos."

He's pissy and it makes HER pissed. Holding out the hand that contains the Triforce of Wisdom, she turns it palm up and summons it. Once outside her body, its divinity is unmistakeable.

Eat it.

So you have a big shiny triangle. Good for you. "Yeah? And how'd this other goddess escape, hmm?"

"She has not as of yet. I am not sure she even wants to."

She's a dog. It's hard to hold a conversation with her. Zelda calls the Triforce back, heading for the door.

"I do."

Tch. Fine. Whatever. He lets her leave without much more than an irritated click of his teeth. Reincarnations and heavenly decrees, birthrights and legacies. They can all go to hell as far as he's concerned. Just because she's some goddess in her past life doesn't mean she has to throw away this one on the same idiocy.

Well, it'll blow over when she realizes even that won't help them get out of here. And if it does, he won't have to think about it anymore since they won't remember. Perfect. Neat and tidy.

Then why is he still so pissed off?

She doesn't slam his door or hers, instead closing both quietly as she passes. She sinks onto her own bed with a sigh, staring up at the ceiling. She would refute Zelos's thoughts if she could hear them - accepting this part of herself isn't throwing her life away, she has always wanted to do the best she can for Hyrule.

The part that hurts is that even as a goddess, she feels helpless to do anything but watch.
