[It's around morning when all SFCs in Vatheon get the following text message:]

Hello Vatheon residents. My name's Orihara Izaya~. I'm a resident in Larmline Apartments and I live in the penthouse at the top. If any of you know anything about the penthouse, you'd know that it has four bedrooms.

I, unfortunately, am only one man.

So-oh! I'm looking for a roomie~!!!

But of course since you'll be living me I won't be accepting just annnnyone.

If you're interested, please respond~! Or stop by and I can interview you or something to see if we're a good fit! I might take on two roommates if there's just too many perfect people for me to decide between.

[Now, it's up to your character whether or not they want to stop by in person or call Izaya back on the offer. We can always go from SFC communication to action. Any way works for me.]

[He frowns a little around at his home-]

Could burn and nothing that important would be lost.

[He looks up at Laharl and smiles sweetly.]

Laharl, you know me so well. Ah! Well in all fairness, you're kinda a brat. And you're pretty loud mouthed and annoying. I'm also pretty sure you get along with Shizu-chan, which isn't okay in my books. Plus I thought you hated me. So.

[Izaya leans forward onto his desk, picking up a black rook and held it over his line of vision of Laharl.]

Why do you want to live with me? Are you going to spy on me? Cut my throat at night?

Less of a fire trap.

[ He's staring curiously at the chessboard though but decides better not to comment on it. He's had his brain broken for less trying to figure out what went on in Izaya's anyway. ]

Shizu-cha-- Oh, you mean Shizuo? Yeah, I met him first day in. Totally had it out for ya.

[ But the question suddenly gives him a pause. Why did he want to take Izaya up on the offer? It gives him a minute to think before he finally speaks up. ]

You're the only guy I know around here. Plus, I kinda figured what the hell. Better you than anyone else.

[But he's not here to think about Shizuo. For once. Instead he's going to spin around in his chair slowly and peer out his windows. It really did remind him of home.

He listens to Laharl and for a while, doesn't seem to have much to say.]

Better me than anyone else?

[He spins slowly in his chair and gives Laharl a look]

I think we both know that's not true.

[He stands up off of his chair and walks around to the front of his desk, leaning against it as he stares down at the demon lord, crossing his arms over his chest.]

So what? I'm not looking just for a roomie. I lead a busy, dangerous life~. And might I add- quite the morally controversial. You're a nosy little bastard. Are you going to be getting into my business all the time and annoying me?

Besides, are you even useful for anything? I mean, you're so short.

[ And now this sparks his fire again. His fire that seemed just the teeniest bit muted earlier. ]

The hell you take me for! I'm gonna be the Overlord, dammit! Course I'm good for something.

[ Sitting back down now, fingers steepled. See? He can look dangerous too if he wants to. ]

You said you got a dangerous life, right? Screw that. I can take anyone in a fight. Kick anyone's damn ass.

[ And flopping back against the chair. ]

Besides I'm not that nosy! Don't really care 'bout what you do. You got your business, I got mine.

Yeah? That right, short stock?

[He bends over at the waste so that they are face to face, and his eyes narrow slowly into hard slits.]

So, you're telling me that if I'm having tea with some nice girl and she suddenly passes out that you're not going to care when I cram her into a suitcase?

[He puts a hand on an arm of the chair and leans in closer.]

Or when I come back spitting up blood that you're not going to bother me why?

[Hand on the other and he's definitely invading personal space.]

You really aren't going to care when you come in and I'm...

[.........dangerous. He sounds dangerous....]

...Watching cartoons?

[ All that? That didn't do anything to phase him. No denying there's the tiniest smirk from the thought of cramming someone into a suitcase. Hey, he's a demon to begin with.

As for the invading personal space part, well, he's trying to look good so... not much of a flubbering reaction today, no. ]

Heh. You think I give a rat's ass? Ya might need help with that suitcase though. Don't think you can carry it on your own.

[ But he is gonna look at you funny with the bit about watching cartoons. ]

[It actually is a little weird to see Laharl so...nonreactive to him.

Izaya's almost disappointed. He sighs and stands up from the chair to lean back against the desk in his own space.

Boooring.]

Fine, whatever. Just don't bother me...

[Ffft. He flops into his chair and drags himself over to his computer.]

...So annoying.

[ Aaaaaaaand score one for the home team. Now if only he can keep it up more often. Maybe probably not.

He wasn't normally the nosy type when it came to business though but this time, he just had to ask. ]

Hey. What's up with you?

[ Bit of a pause and a headtilt. ]

What do you mean?

[Nope. Just going to type on his one of three computer monitors.

He most certainly is as mental sound as ever of course why would you ask such a thing oh my God.

But Izaya glances at Laharl out of the corner of his eye because Laharl is interesting and the feeling of metal is still heavy against his skin as proof of their ...unique relationship.

It's something worth keeping in mind.]
