Who: Nepeta and Tavros
Where: Starting at their hive
When: One fine late afternoon
Status: Closed
A date! A real actual date! Nepeta was so excited. They spent so much of their time together and they'd been matesprits for a few weeks now and they may tend to end their days cuddled on a pile and wake up still snuggled together every morning but they'd yet to go out on an actual, real date.
Of course she wasn't even sure what they'd be doing on their date, since Tavros had insisted she leave it all to him, and since she knew it would make him happy she had. Mostly she was imagining lots and lots of handholding and possibly kisses and doing something fun together, but beyond that she simply didn't have a clue! And yet that was absolutely fine with her. She'd be spending time with Tavros; this automatically made the date awesome.
Preparing for the date was another hurdle that she'd leapt over quite easily. After a few minutes fretting she'd simply decided that Tavros had spent the last couple of perigees seeing her in various stages of being a complete and utter mess and often enough joined in the cause of the mess-making with enthusiasm, and in the end he pitied her anyway, messy and dressing up as a cat and all.
So trenchcoat and t-shirt with her sign it was, nice and clean and she even bothered to comb her hair for once! Shh, don't tell Equius or he'd expect it to start happening regularly. As a little tribute to it being a special occasion she swapped her kitty hood for a brand new cute kitty hat in hers and Tavros' colours, two neat holes cut into the top for her horns to fit through.
Now she was lacking just one thing. Her matesprit!
