◆ oo1; FIRST EYEBALL ●
Who: Walter, Guriko, and all underwater creatures.
When: Forward dated a few days.
Where: Middle District.
Style: [ BRACKETS, OKAY CAL. ]
Status: open! like... a clam.
[ It's been a few days since Guriko has arrived in Vatheon, and already she's quite at home. Getting reacquainted with the surroundings and the people wasn't all that difficult--she had a built in map of everything here, as well as a compete knowledge of how the SFC works, so really...
It seemed that going home for two months was a short vacation from Vatheon. Huh.
On this day in particular, Guriko can be seen on rooftops. On benches. In trees. Higher up places, where she can see greater distances.
And when she finds a big crowd, atop a building in the Middle District she attempts to call attention-- ]
Excuse me! [ She checks, making sure people can find the source of the sound. ] This is the true Gankyuu Eguriko speaking.
However, call Guriko Guriko. She seeks knowledge about a certain blond haired man, who looks like he's dying. Because he's covered in blood. [ like it's the most normal thing. ] If anyone has information, they are to report directly to Guriko! If you withhold information...
... Guriko will gouge your eye out!
[ A firm nod, and she hops down. Let the madness begin. ]
[ ooc : Hey everyone! Just a few formatting things-- the first thread in this entry will be backdated and closed for context. As for the log, it's going to be time-sensitive.Walter will jump in at some point in the first relevant thread; All threads will now be as so: starting from the second and subsequent threads, Walter will already be there with Guriko, so feel free to have your character run into them. Whether your character heard her announcement before then is up to you. Please ask questions if you have any! thanks!]

He was . . . asleep?
Cracking both eyes open, he squints at the comparatively bright light of the district to where he'd last been. Everything is swimming -- it's all a blur, and he squeezes his eyes shut before opening them again to hopefully clear his vision. It doesn't help much.
He's soaking wet. Water. But also the thickness of blood, both dry and fresh, running from a head injury that makes him so dizzy.
His body refuses to move. Even the stifled grunt is almost soundless. All he can do is lie there on his side, his head supported by his arm stationed beneath it.
Why is it like this again . . . ?]

She didn't notice the body in the way. With her arm held up in a sling, it was hard to pay attention to anything other than the pain her body felt.
In short, she tripped over Walter's near-dead body.
Guriko lets out a grunt of pain, feeling the pinpoints of discomfort all over her body (there were teeth there a matter of hours ago), and she quickly looks over to what she tripped on--
... Aw shoot. She's responsible now.
After a moment of thought, she swings her legs from on top of him to the side, and pushes herself up. And quickly (?) attempts to pick Walter up with one arm, slinging his arm over her good shoulder. ]
H-heavy... [ u fat ]

Still, he knows the difference between actually living and just making it through the day—and the latter is very much what he's been doing in Vatheon so far.
... It's painful, being by yourself.
Still, despite missing Guriko greatly, he's never really entertained the thought 'I wish she were back here', because it's never quite occurred to him that that could ever happen. In all honesty, there's nothing stopping it, but in the end, he's come to associate the loss of a friend as something permanent.
... So needless to say, when he spots an all-too-familiar figure, he freezes.
It can't—
It is.
Silently, he takes a step closer, and in a quiet voice—]
... Guriko?

What he does feel is his arm being raised against his will (would it have moved with his will?), and the thought that he's being carried and touched gives him enough burst in energy to snap his head up, albeit weakly.
Red, he sees red, and . . .
Black . . .
Where's the white and blue?
Guriko?
His fingers twitch, and he begins willing his body to move, to just edge away, grumbling,]
Let go --

Because Tiir is here.
It's a bit of a nostalgic feeling--to see a man she so greatly admires (whom she hasn't seen for quite some time, she might add) in the flesh, breathing, standing. Anything that comes easily to him--she treasures it. Because being without him for so long, and forgetting about him during that time, only to come back to Vatheon and receive all her memories back...
It's overwhelming. But she wouldn't trade her memories of Tiir for anything in the world.
And it's because of that fact (or maybe the fact that's it has been so long) that Guriko finds herself taking a hesitant step forward, closer to him. ]
Tiir-nii..?
[ It takes a second, but without anything more than a thought, Guriko runs towards him, wrapping her arms tightly around his chest. Hugging. Holding. ]
Guriko is so... so sorry!
no subject
And then he forces himself to adjust to the situation—snapping back to reality whether he's prepared or not—as he ruffles Guriko's hair, smiling softly.]
You don't need to apologize for anything, Guriko. Nothing is your fault.
[... She's back.]

That thing -- human -- girl -- is busy moving away and talking to someone else, so this is the prime opportunity to go somewhere, anywhere. Anywhere that isn't here, because despite his blurred vision, nothing in his surroundings strikes him as familiar.
But his body won't move. Move, move, move. He absolutely refuses to play spectator for a pointless conversation between two Orerines, with their dark clothes and darker clothes, and this is a complete and utter waste of precious time.
Why can't he move? This is pathetic.
Everything hurts.]
no subject
Not just in a physical manner (because the bite marks and the broken arm are all very painful) but the emotional pain takes a greater toll. She left Tiir here. Sure, it may not have been her fault, but... she abandoned him. She ran away.
Guriko holds him tighter for a moment, before pulling her head back, just the slightest bit.
She looks up and smiles.
And something in the back of her mind tells her she's forgotten something (something blond, skinny, and annoying...), but she can't bring herself to give it more than a thought. Guriko is just so darn happy--even through her guilt. Even though she's possibly the absolute worst thing in the bubble right now, she doesn't care.
Because Tiir is here, Tiir is safe. She's so happy. ]
Guriko missed you very much.

With this, he doesn't have to be lonely. He doesn't have to feel like he's living an empty life in this world.
With this, he can forget about Minato's words, and the feeling like he's fiddling with the thread of cloth that's this close to unravelling. He can forget the feeling that something's breaking inside of him—a sense of vulnerability that he's always tried to reject for himself.
None of that matters right now, because Guriko is back.]
I missed you as well. Have you been good?
[And as much as he'd like to hold her forever, practicality kicks in as he pulls back, looking her over.]
... Though we should take care of your wounds.

Merines.
That jump starts what last drop of energy he has, and Walter forces his arms to cooperate. He pushes himself up with both hands planted on the floor, but his own weight is impossibly heavy against his arms. He draws his knees up, ready to make himself stand when that alone proves enough to deprive him of his breath. Hunching over, he lets out a strangled gasp, his body desperately drawing in much needed air when he can hardly keep any to begin with.
He can't stop trembling, he can't stop trying to breathe, and no matter what his body does, it's not getting sufficient air.
(How funny; not even the water can make him feel this way.)
He coughs.]

Oh right. Dead guy.
Quickly, Guriko pulls back, moving to hold Tiir's hand in hers. She looks a bit apologetic, and uses her free hand to scratch at a false itch on her chin. ]
Um! [ She looks back at Walter. Now, unfortunately, is not the time to be bashful. They've got a life to save! ]
Tiir-nii, we have to help this guy. [ She tugs his arm, nodding her head over towards the soon-to-be corpse. ] Guriko tripped over him.
no subject
However, despite the fact they seem to be strangers to eachh other, Guriko obviously does. It's not a surprise to Tiir, but... it doesn't stop him from mentally sighing.
Still, if she wants to help him, then he'll comply.]
All right. We can take him back the apartment and take care of his wounds there.
no subject
He still has the strength left in his hands to ball them into fists. Angrily.
He should've passed out long time ago, but the thought of the Merines doesn't allow him that satisfaction this time. The Orerines must have gone ahead, he can't back out now, not now, and if anything, this keeps him from taking it slowly and breathing because he's on the verge of hyperventilating -- ]
no subject
[ Guriko shrugs, refusing to drop his hand, but instead tugging him lightly towards the body behind them.
... And there's a smirk even Guriko can't deny when he says "apartment". Because even though they moved often times, and there was no stability in their living situation, the idea of living with Tiir again is... so, incredibly wonderful for her. She's so happy.
Which seems out of place, given the body. ]
But he's still conscious... Guriko thinks. Not dead.
SOB ALL MY TYPOS TODAY
[And that's what matters to Tiir, as indifferent as he is to the state of the other male.
Still holding onto Guriko's hand, he crouches down to examine the body.]
Well, there wouldn't be much we could do for him if he were dead, so that's good.
tiir is just that drunk with happiness.
Walter doesn't move -- he can't -- but he can at least turn his head ever so slightly enough to get a blurred look at the black-haired creature beside him. His voice is hoarse, more out of exhaustion than anything.]
Ore . . . rines . . .
[What do you want?
He doesn't have the breath to say the rest.]
..............
[ Guriko hovers slightly over the body, bringing up her free hand to place hair behind her ear. She's not sure what she's looking for since she just followed in Tiir's footsteps, but she tries to make it look like she's really examining the body. ]
Orerines? [ A curious head tilt. Suffice to say, in all of Guriko's time alive in her world, such a name has not crossed her path. ]
... Maybe that's his name?
..........
[Too bad if you don't want anyone's help, Walter, because Tiir is now picking you up.]
I have supplies back at the apartment. Hopefully, they'll be enough.
[It might seem a bit silly to keep first aid supplies with him when he has no need for them, but it's a habit. After all, while he doesn't need them, the people he keeps company with typically do.]
. . . [jan]
Words, they're uttering words. They sound like gibberish to him, but he's not stupid to think that's what they're really saying.
He groans lowly, more out of protest than in pain. There's a throbbing pain all over his body, but he's, dare he say, starting to feel rather numb overall and just doesn't want to be touched by some filthy Orerines -- ]
... [jan]
[ She scurries beside Tiir, dropping his hand so he has more room to support Walter with. Guriko wonders if she should hold the blondie's head up, or something...
But she doesn't, instead moving her hand to cling on Tiir's clothes. Guriko stares at the stranger.... trying to understand why he seemed to be resisting.
They were helping. He needed help. It made sense. ]
He's odd.
... [jae]! [shari]!
People here tend to be. Shall we be off?
[jan] x 33
In any case, going would probably be a good idea. He's one case, but they're both soaking wet -- the mark of a "new"comer.]
[jae] x 868
[ She drops his clothes on point, taking a step forward. Ignoring the weird one. Guriko looks over her shoulder, back at Tiir. ]
Same place?
...
Your things are still there.
FIRST
Madness indeed.
Madness in the form of Minato tilting his head, not even pulling his hands out of his pockets.]
...Guriko...? You're back?
c:
She had spent so much time worrying about Tiir, she forgot about the other friends she had made here. ]
Minato! [ A firm nod! ] Yes, this Guriko, in the flesh, has returned.
no subject
It's good to see you again. How are you?
no subject
[ Hands on hips!! Playfully, that is. ]
And Minato didn't notice!
no subject
He just...bows. Very line-face and serious here.]
I am very sorry for my transgressions, Guriko.
Can you forgive me?
no subject
... Will Minato help Guriko?
no subject
[It's an instantaneous response and then--]
What do you need help with?
