The last thing he remembered was that sudden craving for tea. It happened all of a sudden, really. The curse, the tea cravings and that unexpected shindig with Faris in the park. He'd gotten his fair share of tea and pastry and brandy, apparently if Faris had anything to say about it. The next thing he recalled was stumbling back to the apartment in a daze. There promised to be a massive hangover the next day if the budding headache had anything to say about it. Somewhere along the way, he was sure he rambled to a local about there being way too many jellyfish in the sky. Whatever it was, he'd forgotten the details.
And then he slept.
How long, he wasn't sure but it was strange that his body didn't seem too sore once he awoke which he did rather slowly. It took a while for the prince to realize that his room was still dark. His impending headache was nonexistant. Oddly enough, he felt fine albeit woozy. Call it post-waking-stupor. So in the darkness of the room, he stirred uttering the slightest groan as he buried himself further into the pillows. "What the... what time is it...?" the prince managed to mumble through the sheets. Had he company, he wasn't quite aware of it.

He had fallen asleep while telling Laharl all about Shizuo, the recent curse, how to cook a traditional Japanese dish, why he never got to have a pet dog when he was little, and how his mother had given him his jacket. It was nothing important but all things that no one else would probably ever hear about. He occasionally patted Laharl's head before staring intently at his face. Nothing.
He had fallen asleep at some point, an arm around Laharl's small body under the blankets and his mouth hung open. Though Izaya was not used to sleeping with others so near. So he almost instantly awoke the moment he felt a shift. Laharl.
He was awake. The snap decision caused Izaya to sit up and he instantly leaned over Laharl and pulled back the blankets- just in time to hear that little grumble of a demon's voice.
"Laharl!" he cried out joyously and didn't spare one moment when he tackled himself into the bed and all but hugged Laharl's body against his own and caged it to the bed all in one go- the blankets of Laharl's bed flying out around them as he did so.
"You're awake. About time. I feel like it's been forever since I've seen you," he said, laying on top of Laharl heavily.
His demon prince was awake. Of course Izaya was happy.

Groginess be damned however when the prince receives that rather sudden wake up call. His newly waking stupor finds itself knocked right out of his system the minute the blood rushes to his face from the sudden violent combination of contact-tackle-pin. Not the most welcome of greetings but then, it was Izaya. Had he really expected anything else? Of course, this means nothing more than the fact that he's able to respond as he usually does: with a futile struggle to get away.
"What the hell?! Izaya?!" the prince cried, managing the slightest bit to struggle against the much larger form that has him prone right on the mattress. Thankfully, the room was dark enough to hide the terrible flush he couldn't banish even if all his willpower wanted him to do so. But he stops his struggling after a moment, letting out a breath and settling himself back against the sheets with a huff.
"...Geez. Leggo already. Whadaya mean it's been forever? How long was I out anyway?" he grumbled, trying to find something to do with his arms rather than leave them by his side and looking for all the world like a board.

...That could prove for later entertainment but not now.
"Laharl," he replied joyfully, and of course, did nothing to relent from Laharl. He actually laid more heavily atop of the demon, pressing down against him to pin him even further to the bed. He put his chin down on top of Laharl's head and slid an arm under Laharl's body, against the bed, and hooked it around his waist.
"Don't tell me what to do. I'm older than you and I'm letting you live with me," Izaya said but there wasn't an ounce of sternness to his tone. He also knew that he was much younger than Laharl but mentally? Not in the slightest.
"Well I was in a coma for a while and then you- so it's been a couple weeks since I've really seen you," he mumbled into the pillow that his face was partially buried into. "But it's fine. I took care of you."
That probably was not a reassuring statement but it was true. As soon as he had woken up and found out Laharl was in a coma, he was right there at his side.
He finally pulled off of Laharl and instead laid next to him. But he was still against him and in his personal space. And his arm was still under and around him. He brought his face close to Laharl's, a daunting kind of smirk present on his face.
"I totally had a bunch of guys come in here and let them have their way with you."
