Hunger pangs
Who: Vegeta and anyone that wants to approach a pissed-off Saiyan
When: February 15th, early morning
Where: The park
Style: I'll follow
Status: Open~
The curse had been a living hell for Vegeta. Not because of what he turned into, oh no - in fact, as far as he could tell, he hadn't turned into anything different at all. It was the complete lack of easily accessible food that did the Saiyan in. Gone were Vatheon's restaurants with their helpful natives willing to stuff him to his heart's content, and without his scouter he had been wary of attacking any of the monsters roaming the city. He had only eaten once during the curse, and as glorious as the golden sandwich held in the giant's castle had been, he'd quickly burned off most of that energy by flitting about to get away. The ball had done him no good either, the food on the table he approached had mysteriously disappeared.
Naturally, Vegeta had become fed up with the whole situation and just went to the park to hibernate until it was over. He woke up a couple days later, groggy, hungrier than ever, and pissed.

"No, he doesn't have any control. He doesn't like that he's so strong either. It doesn't help that he has an atrocious temper but..." He trailed off and instead looked at Saiyan. He weighed the pros and cons of sharing information about Shizuo in his mind but...Oh well.
"No, not really. We used to fight a lot but that was probably the most he got to training. I never made him focus though. I just sort of pissed him off and ran for it," he said and had to snort at some of those memories. "Why's it a shame? You think he could be a lot stronger?"

"Well! I'm happy he has someone else to take his anger and energy out on. He's like a big, idiotic dog. Needs to go for runs or else he gets antsy and whatever," he said and picked more at his sushi. "Just don't beat him too badly." Despite his cheerful disposition, there's a quiet threat there. Somewhere in his tone or maybe on his face. But it's there.

The final steak that Vegeta ordered arrived, and he proved that he did in fact know how to use silverware by cutting it up before eating it at a more normal pace.

Although he didn't really care to. He had no interest. Vegeta was fascinating and well...If things didn't go well for him with Shizuo? He could even use Vegeta as a useful tool in the future.
"But threats aren't really dinner conversation so I'm sorry. I forgot my manners. Do you prefer raw steak to cooked?" he asked, going for an entirely different route now.
no subject
"I prefer it raw if I killed it myself. There's nothing quite like a good meal right after a fight. If it isn't warm anymore, then I'm not interested."

"That's interesting," Izaya said. "So you're like a kind of animal, really," he said. Although it wasn't a direct insult. It was more or less just an observation. "How carnal and scary~! What's your usual prey?" After all, he distinctly recalled Vegeta looking at him in a way that Izaya wasn't about to mistaken as being checked out. Not at all.

"Anything. Whatever's native to the planet. I haven't eaten a human before if that's what you're asking, but sentient species aren't exactly off the table if I'm hungry enough. I don't think that I'll be doing that in Vatheon, though." He eyed Izaya like a meal one last time before spreading his hands out in a shrug. "People come back to life here. They would hold grudges."

Oh Darwinism.
"I understand," Izaya said and being considered prey didn't so much as phase him. "There's other creatures here that eat or feed from humans," Izaya explained although he gave Vegeta a bit of a hard look when he was looked at like that. "I don't think it'd be wise, no. And I wouldn't underestimate everyone who looks like a human here. You'd be pretty surprised at what's lurking around. But it's good that you've already learned that."

He finished his last steak carefully, then took out his scouter. When it had been returned to him, he didn't know, but he was taken by a sudden need to know what Izaya's power level was. He put it on then tapped it, facing him.

Izaya blinked at the scouter and he tilted his head to the side.
"What's that?" he asked. Izaya was only human but he was unusually fast and unusually healthy. He healed damn quick and had an impressive pain tolerance. He was smarter than he was strong though but as far as power level went...Who knew? Izaya certainly didn't.

He sighed. "It should also be able to communicate to any station within the galaxy, but Vatheon has terrible service, it seems." It was a thought that both exhilarated and terrified him. What if he was truly out of Frieza's range? What if he was safe while he was here? Did he even have a purpose if he wasn't fighting?
