[It had taken him a few days to come up with something but, true to his word, he had and now he just needed a little help. He could do some heavy lifting if need be, that was no issue. It was that statue in Jacob's snowglobe that he couldn't do anything about. All his centuries alive and he'd never learned carving of any sort.

Now he found himself standing outside where he knew Lily lived. Hopefully, he could get her help; he'd do just about anything for it.

He knocked on the door and then stepped back, calling out:]

Liiiiiilyyyy~ Are you home~?

[Social tact? What is that?]

That's a bit strange. [James laughs, more relaxed now he's been straight with.]

[The other part is that Johnny's got the enthusiasm of a five-year-old making a present for their mommy right now, nothing gets him down.]

Ah~ I suppose it is~! But it's supposed to be a replica of a statue already in existence, so I didn't come up with it.

[Suddenly steely look.] If you're closer friends with Lily, then I've got my eye on you.

Oooh~ I'd love to see~!

[He can't help but laugh hard at James' sudden turn--around mood.]

Oh, James~ No need to be jealous~! I like Lily, but she's not my type in the slightest. She's just very bright and sweet. I enjoy her company.

Maybe another time. [He's not ready for Johnny to meet Prongs just yet.]

Good answer. Doesn't stop me watching you though.

Watch all you want~ I'll never complain about having another man's eyes on me~ [There's your hint, Jamesy, better be careful.]

[Okay ew! Just this face because he gets the hint!]

[Another laugh. He's only somewhat serious. Yes: gay. No:James.]

Now you know~ Besides~ She's very taken with you; I have no desire to see her unhappy.

She is taken with me. And it's nice to know she has friends who care about her as much as I do.

[He'll still be watching though. Johnny needs to earn his trust.]

Hnn~ Exactly. I can see you're a good fiancee~[Dangerous smile...] Though....just know that I won't hesitate to change that opinion if you do anything...out of line...

[Good thing he doesn't know Johnny's a vampire.]

[James just laughs.] Technically, she's either my girlfriend or my wife. And there's nothing you can do to me because if I die here I come back and if I go home I'm dead anyway.

This life is as good as it gets for me.

[Yeah. Suppose so.]

And...I understand that feeling...

Still, I don't take my friendships lightly. Whether you come back or not won't stop me if I have a reason.

[Stern face!]

Look. I'm 21 years old and I'm dead. I died trying to protect my wife and my 15 month old son from the darkest wizard that ever lived. I don't take this lightly either.

[He just gives a serene smile, pleased.]

Yes, I can see that. Good. I'm glad she has someone who cares that much for her; she deserves it.

Good, I'm glad to hear it. Here I was afraid she might be making a bad choice; love does make us blind, after all, I'm glad it's not like that.

She's had plenty of time to make sure of the choice she was making. Trust me.

Still~ Have to have some respect from a man willing to sacrifice himself for what he holds dear..

[His possibly threatening smirk evaperates as if it were never even there and his attitude takes a complete 180...again.]

Gooood! It's nice to see such devotion in the youth~! And people say romance is dead~ I'm glad they're wrong!

[James is almost taken aback by the change of attitude but instead he just laughs.]
