For anyone who thinks Sora and Roxas are dorks... well, okay, they'd be right, but the wonder twins do know a few cool things. For instance, this afternoon they can be found in the plaza skateboarding. And not just rolling around the fountain in circles, but doing jumps and grinds and all that fancy stuff. Not total dorks, see?

They both seem to be suffering from the thought-bubble curse, but at least when concentrating on skateboard tricks, it keeps other things off your mind. And unless they attract an audience, it's not such a problem between the two of them.

"Heh." Sora laughed a little. It was true, Demyx was pretty happy, and maybe if Sora had never done what he did he wouldn't be hear.

"Yeah, you're right." Sora smiled a little sheepishly. "Sorry to be a downer there, Roxas."

He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.

"It's okay. I'm- kinda the one who brought it up." Since thinking about something basically counts as bringing it up when your thoughts are all on display.

"Don't worry about it, okay?" Sora waived it off, forcing his thoughts to something else. Was that a chocobo in his bubble? Might have been.

"So, show me one of those tricks you can do?"

Skateboarding was a good distraction.

Yeah, skateboarding is good. Roxas rocks his board back with one foot.

"What do you wanna learn?"

"Teach me to do that flip thing." Sora didn't know what it was called, but his thought bubble helped with that as a visual of a rather impressive spin showed up in Sora's bubble.

He knew Roxas could do it.

'That flip thing' could have been any number of things, but the visual helped. "Oh, that?" Roxas demonstrated the move himself and then rolled back over to Sora to show him.

"Well- first you gotta get your feet in the right place, so you can move the board the way you want. You put your one foot here, and then your back foot right at the edge. Like this."

Sora watched carefully as Roxas performed the trick. "Okay, I think I got it." He got onto his own board and took off a few feet before trying the trick. Not so much.

His foot slipped and he stumbled a bit as he went down, catching himself on the stones.

"Aw man!"

Roxas watched him carefully in turn to see if he was doing it right. Or, in this case, what he was doing wrong.

"You've gotta turn your body more. If you put your shoulders into it, your feet'll follow."

"Mm, right! I'll try again."

Sora picked up the board and went back over to where he'd have a good start. He took a breath, pushing forward and trying to do what Roxas said. His feet caught this time, and he landed though not as gracefully as Roxas had.

"Hey! That was a bit better!"

Roxas smiled. "You're getting it. It just takes some practice."

"I guess so!" Sora laughed and tried the move over and over again. Sometimes he got it, but sometimes he'd still fumble. Sora didn't mind, it was all in good fun, and it felt good to work towards a skill.

A few more minutes of this and he was going to be starving!

Roxas watched him through a few more attempts, just to make sure he had the idea down, before kicking off on his board to do a few tricks himself. It did feel good to teach something though. He guessed it was something big brothers did.
