[OPEN] Come meet the Detective Prince
Who: Naoto Shirogane and YOU
What: Trying to relax and talkiing
Where: A cafe, any cafe
When: July 26, all day pretty much
Style: Will match
Status: OPEN
Naoto had finally gotten a day off. She needed to get out of the agency and she didn't have to patrol today. Things had gotten awkward at the agency as they finally got to the finishing touches of the place. Everything was just plain strange and she needed a break. That and she was pretty sure that Yu would probably scold her if she worked too much.
So she had finally made her way to a cafe. She'd been to almost all of them at least once. Every cafe worker knew her - mostly as a boy. Soon, though. It would be soon enough that she would reveal her true gender to Vatheon... Then she'd see how many still wanted to be around her; how many would think low of her.
But not for the moment.
She went up to the counter and ordered a cup of tea and something to nibble on. She was told to wait for her food and as she did she looked around. Where was she going to sit?

If you'd like someone to eat lunch with, we can sit here if you want.
[He nods to an empty chair.]
I don't bite. Although it's no skin off my nose if you'd rather eat alone.
no subject
Thank you for the offer. It is fairly crowded today isn't it? Not quite as empty as it usually is.
[She picked up her order and soon joined him.]
no subject
Are you new here too or have you been here awhile?
[He seems pretty laid back at the moment, almost as if he didn't care he'd recently been thrown into a new world.]
no subject
I've been here a while. Ten months give or take a week.
no subject
[Indeed, he was just now realizing he'd have to be getting his own food and all. Being a shut-in is hard.]
A year is a long time to be here. Do you mind telling me about what you've seen going on around here?
no subject
[Her eyes lower as her mind goes through everything she's been through.]
Depends on what part you want to know... There's curses that happen about every other week anymore, though they used to be just once a month. From time to time there's some sort of event that happens and it's more major than the rest. There's a monthly get together to get to know people in Vatheon... There's the host club and maid cafe events...

[A pause...]
Curses? What are they?
[He's interested in a lot, but he's willing to take it slow, all things considering. He hasn't been here that long and there's no sense in making the girl spill everything she knows in one go. He was no hurry.]
no subject
[Naoto had made sure to keep her voice in the lower octive. She wondered if he had found out.
She leaned back in her chair.]
The curses vary depending on the time of year and what the coral feels like doing. I know it sounds strange, but the coral has a mind of its own really.

[The teen pauses a moment, looking thoughtful.]
Can you give me examples? I'm sorry to keep questioning you about this...
[Had he had magic here, he probably would have just made her talk somehow. But alas, he did not have any magic nor did he plan to cause a big enough panic for him to get some. He'd just have to wait until there was a mass panic if he wanted to be able to use his power.]
I am pretty new here.
no subject
[Naoto sipped on some of her tea.]
Recently we had one where if you wore a certain hat you would take on that personality. I've heard they've had a couple of body switch curses... There was one where the world pretty much turned into a roleplaying game like would be on the computer. Ones for the holidays have been awfully strange.

Still, even he could admit the need for a break sometimes, and if it was a break to eat food then it was an efficient break. He was seated, about to get started on a sandwich and a cup of tea, when he saw Naoto standing around. He liked Naoto, was somewhat reminded of himself, and he waved at him.

"May I join you?" she asked, trying to keep up her male facade. It had been a while since the two had seen each other, let alone spoken.

He nibbled at a couple more bites. It might be a little pleasant to share some company while they both ate. "Doing well in your new apartment?"
no subject
"Ah... My friends and I are moved into the building. We're just putting on the finishing touches before we actually open up the agency," she replies.
no subject
"Anything that might help the people here is a good idea."

But she didn't forget him.
She nodded, giving a small wave back to him.

"A detective is someone who goes in search of the truth behind appearances," she explains to him, "Most times it's when other authorities have stopped searching or if the authorities are not able to look as deeply in as person. They are usually unaffiliated with the authorities, though they are hired on by them from time to time in order to get various cases and problems solved."

However, he had controlled himself so well till this point that the mood he was in appeared to be one of meditation. His eyes were closed and he didn't appear to be moving. He did not look like a man who had no chance of reading what was on the menu.]

Nearly all. There was one at a table that someone was already sitting at. She hadn't seen this person before, so she assumed he was a somewhat recent arrival. She made her way over to him, remembering to keep with her male voice. That's what most knew her by for the moment anyway.]
Pardon me. Is this seat taken, sir?
