Sleepover tiiiime
Who: Axel (
flared), Roxas (
coolerthansora), and anyone else they would have invited to this little get together... which is everyone. Except Saïx.
Where: Axel and Roxas' apartment
When: Evening of the 7th (Axel's birthday shhhhhh), during the cold curse
Style: Either
Status: Open~
This curse makes having a get together quite easy... but why just have a get together? Axel sees this as an opportunity to upgrade that– so after a few messages to invite people, he sets out and gathers some of the necessary things for the best sleepover ever.Axel's secretly 12.
He and Roxas technically just live in a two bedroom apartment, but with some pushing to get the couch, TV, and coffee table pushed to the wall, there's more than enough room in their living room to fit at least five or so people. That's a good thing, too, since they'll all need to be as cozy with one another for the duration of the week. ... It also helps that Axel is a personal space heater, so.
With sleeping bags, hundreds of pillows, stuffed sharks and starfish, and all sorts of snacks scattered about, this is totally going to be the best night ever. Scary stories, s'mores, movies, pillow fights, hide-and-seek, ice cream on the roof– Yeah. You don't want to miss this.
((ooc: There's not gonna be any specific threads, but feel free to start your own and threadjack/thread amongst yourselves as you see fit~ You're free to assume that if your character has had a thread with Axel or Roxas in the past, then they were invited and can find a place on the floor/their beds to crash. Except Saïx. B|))

This was the perfect time for him to pretty much just veg out and well... Veg out with a few friends!]
Man, I'm glad you guys set this up when you did. I was startin' to run out of people to latch onto!

[Roxas glances over towards wherever Axel is. He was worried about his bestie, being fire-aligned and all.]
Glad you came.
so how's your sex life
Yeah? Faris ain't enough for you anymore?
[he asks as he reaches over and steals a piece of popcorn.]
no subject
For now he's settling his giant stuffed bear down into the mass of pillows and having a look through the movies. The yellow chocobo baby, Popcorn, is with him, clumsily navigating the pile of soft things to peer at the DVDs as though he can understand the titles.

"Now we'll definitely need a new place to live if we're gonna keep throwing parties like this, huh?"
no subject
"I guess so. Too many more people would be kinda cramped." He munches on the corn for a second and then adds, "I didn't think you really liked parties that much."
no subject
"I don't. But little ones like these suit me just fine, you know?"
no subject
Picking up one of the DVDs, he holds it up for Axel. "How 'bout this one?" He's hoping it's more kiddy-friendly than that other one they watched, because they've got the birds to think about and all.
no subject
After tossing up a piece of popcorn to catch and eat, Axel looks over at the DVD Roxas holds up then picks up the chocobo so she can get a better look at it. "Dunno. What do you think?" And in response Popcorn flaps her wings. ... He guesses that's a yes?
"I'll take that to mean it's good."
no subject
Roxas nods at Popcorn's response. Looks like a yes to him. He struggles up off the pillows to make it to the TV to pop it in. Here goes Beauty and the Fish, an animated feature that may or may not involve a singing sea monster. Axel did say he wanted mermaids.

Axel, please never go into interior design. As he munches on more popcorn, Axel watches Roxas pop in the DVD then when the title shows up he laughs. "Oh, man. I'd better not catch anyone in here crying because of this. If they do, it'll be all your fault, Roxas."
no subject
Apparently Roxas should never be in interior design either.
As he settles back on his pillows, he gives Axel a nudge with his elbow. "My money's on you tearing up first."

She hopes it was okay for her to come. She got an invitation, yes, but she's not sure where Roxas and Axel stand with her. The former knew her mostly through Sora and the few encounters they had, while the latter got to know her while he kidnapped her. Which was all done and forgiven, but it didn't change the fact that she hasn't had the best opportunities to get to know the two.
Wearing a wool knit hat (she comes from a tropical island she never gets to wear them!) and sweaters, she's bundled up amongst some pillows, watching the chocobo chick clamber around in amusement.
no subject
When Popcorn wanders away from him, he glances over to see her watching the chick, and gives her a little smile. "Hey, Kairi. You- warm enough?" That does appear to be several sweaters.
no subject
If this was a heat curse, she would have been fine. Humidity and heat were bastards, but she knew how to deal with them. But the cold? That just sucked.
"Thanks for having me over, Roxas. I haven't been to your place before."
no subject
"We're- actually thinking of moving, before these guys get too big."
no subject
But she could understand the need to move to accommodate pets, though seeing as she's unfamiliar with chocobos, she has no idea just how much accommodation they would need. "How big do they get? I've never seen a bird like this before."
no subject
He reaches over to lift Popcorn up as the bird nearly falls into a gap between pillows. "Um... They'll be taller than Axel, I think." It's still hard to imagine.

He sets the chick down a little closer to her. It shakes itself off and clambers over to her with a curious cheep. You guys are talking about him, aren't you?
no subject
She smiles and holds her hands down for the little chick to hop up on them, if it wants a closer look.
"Did you give it a name?"

After fixing a few of the pillows on the ground so he can make his way across the room more easily, Axel eventually walks over to Kairi then sits down, using one of the plush sharks as a cushion.
"Having fun?" he asks as he too watches the little chick flap and waddle about.
no subject
Honestly, she hadn't been sure if he would talk to her or not. She tries to hide the surprise as she glances away from him and to the chick.
"I am. I've never been to a slumber party this big. Or this toasty." So. Many. Pillows. But the curse called for it, and she wasn't complaining one bit. "Whose idea was it?"
no subject
"Mine," he says as he rubs the back of his neck. It's totally not a stupid idea! ... Right?
no subject
"It was a good idea. Everyone can stay warm tonight, at least."
And now she suddenly was blanking on what to say next. So she goes for the tried and true: "How have you been?"
