Sora was shivering slightly as he walked into the kitchen to get some food. He hadn't headed out to the plaza yet for his shift of free hug giving (He wasn't nearly awake enough for that yet.) and as far as he knew, everyone else was still asleep.

He'd thought about sneaking into Riku or Kairi's room to snuggle up to one of them, but that probably would have been a little strange even if he and Kairi were...That brought a blush and a silly smile to his face.

Kairi was already in there, wrapped in a sweater and blanket as she poured out some cereal for herself. She was too cold to be up for making a proper meal. Sora's footsteps alerted her, and she turned around. A smile bloomed on her face, despite the cold.

"Morning, lazy bum."

Mornings were okay. Actually, that quiet gray-area, when even some of the most avid night owls had finally retreated to bed and anyone else wasn't even thinking of waking up for at least a few more hours... that was great. You could go around wherever you wanted without anyone asking or bothering you. Could find a place to watch the sun rise.

Riku had missed that hour by a long shot, on fact of being too cold to consider leaving his bed. So he arrives, drawn by the sound of other people in the kitchen, hair a little bedraggled, trying not to let his teeth chatter.

"How 'bout we call a do-over on today? Or this whole freezing week."

Sora's own smile grew wider as he went over to Kairi. He wrapped her up in a quick hug from behind. He could already feel warmth slipping back into his own fingers.

"Morning, Kairi~"

Sora looked back over his shoulder. The grin slipped into more of a teasing one when he saw Riku come in looking not quite his best.

"It's not that bad, Riku!" He let go of Kairi and went over to share the warmth.

That was a lovely bout of warmth. Kairi smiled widely, for the warmth she felt came not just from being in contact with someone. Or just anyone, really.

Riku's dry remark was not unnoticed. With a wry smirk, she looked over her shoulder as Sora went over to warm up their best friend.

"Riku's not the most touchy feely. This hasn't been a fun week for that type."
