[Lloyd's on a mission. He has no doubt it'll probably be awkward at some points, but it's an important one nonetheless. The nurse told him that people need hugs to keep warm, but not everyone would know that. Who knew who might be freezing to death because they didn't know what they needed to cure it?

Not that hugs fix the problem completely. The effect of the last hug Lloyd had gotten is already starting to wear off. Still, once people know, it'll be easier for them to make sure they get enough physical contact to keep them warm.

So here he is, searching for anyone who looks like they need a hug.]

[She just shrugs on that.] I wouldn't know, I don't pay much attention is school, so if they explained the reasoning, odds are I wasn't paying attention.

[She looks rather surprised.]

Wait... How does one world become two?

[Rather than be disappointed by the lack of explanation, Lloyd's face lights up instead.]

Whoa, hey, I do that, too! I mean, sometimes school's just really boring!

[And it looks like she understands!]

I'm not really sure exactly how it happened, but this guy in my world split it in half. My friends told me we're going to try to reunite them, but that's kind of in my future, so I don't know much about it. But I trust their word! They wouldn't lie to me.

You mean there are others that find school boring?! [That was unexpected. She thought he would be the type to enjoy it.]

That sounds like big complicated thing. I'm glad that isn't the case at home. [She knows her own future as well, somewhat anyway, yet doesn't find that weird.]

But, good to know you can trust what your friend says. I mean who wouldn't. I do.

[Lloyd laughs.] You have no idea! My teacher even throws chalk at me sometimes because I fell asleep!

[Aw yeah, bonding over mutual dislike of school! This is probably the first time he's met someone who thinks it's just as boring as he does!]

Yeah, I know what you mean. At least it'll all work out eventually, though.

[Honestly, that's one of the things that's helped him stay sane while he's stuck in this place.]

Wow, you are even worse than I am in class if you have chalk thrown at you.

[It's nice to meet people who share a same common interest in not enjoying school, as she simply nods.]

Hey, it's a long walk through the forest for me just to get to school! I'm tired when I get there, and my teacher's lectures are boring.

[Come on, anyone could fall asleep after that.

His defensive protest is goodnatured, though, said with a hint of a laugh.]

Have you ever had a run through the forest before, just so you wouldn't get told off for being late. because that can be tiring too.

[Man, it is so awesome talking to someone who understands.]

It's even worse when you run into a monsters on those days, because then you're late even though tried.

Can't say I've ever had that happen. But it must be hard to deal with those and get to school?

Sometimes it's tough, but I can handle it. It just means my teacher yells at me for being late. Well, unless I got hurt. Then she goes easy on me. That's not exactly much better though.

[Because seriously, who wants to show up to school bleeding?]

But that was probably the best excuse I ever gave her for why I didn't get my homework turned in! I told her the monster ate it! And it... sort of did. I just hadn't finished it yet.

[She just couldn't help but laugh slightly at that.]

That is the best excuse, especially if it was true. But your school sounds tough at the end of the day. makes me seem interesting.

Yeah, it can be pretty tough. At least I get to see my friends when I go, though. That always makes it worth it. That's true for your school, too, right?

[He's assuming she has friends. Who wouldn't? Minako seems really nice.]

Of course. That's the best part of school, seeing friends.

[That to her is the best, obviously.]

[Lloyd rubs his arms, starting to feel the chill of the curse again. He glances at Minako.]

You sure you're okay for the curse?

[She laughed slightly. It was sad that this curse keeps making people cold, she wish it wouldn't, but it does.]

Yeah, I'll survive no matter what. Even if the curse is a tiny bit annoying.

[redcladidealist]

All right. Just make sure to take care of yourself.

[He straightens up, nodded his head toward the street.]

I'm gonna go make sure no one else needs help. Not everyone knows how to fix the curse. It was nice talking to you, Minako!
