Dualscar wasn't sure what made him put the very special purple mask on, but once he had done so, he slowly found that he had begun to seek high places throughout the island. When he stood above the city, his cape blowing in the wind that inexplicably flowed through the bubble, he felt he could see good and evil below.

And as he watched the movements of the city, understood their ebb and flow, he grew to realize that he needed to seek out the cesspools of evil, festering in the city, to protect the innocent citizens just trying to make a living in this bubble under the sea. He had been chosen, somehow. He was the only one who could, and with great power, came great responsibility.

So Dualscar decided:

He would fight crime.

Sufferer isn't too sure about cesspools (or if they even have any in Vatheon), but he has a remarkable amount of patience for when Dualscar is acting weird, and gamely climbs after him so he can sit next to him while the seadweller stands on rooftops and lets his cape billow dramatically. Really, Sufferer is almost convinced this is just an excuse for Dualscar to pose and show off his cape.

"So what are we doing up here, exactly?"

Gosh, no. It just happens to be that if he stands in just this way at this angle, his cape blows out just so. And that happens to be the exact best way to view the city from this particular building.

"Wwe're lookin' for justice," Dualscar intones. "Ain't none to find in this dark city, though. Wwe'll probably havve to go ahead an make some."

"I don't know, it looks pretty peaceful down there to me." Sufferer looks over the edge of the building, his expression doubtful. "I think if we tried to make any justice, we'd just get everyone upset."

"Wwhat are you talkin' about? Look...look there!" He points at a couple walking hand in hand down the street. "Any moment noww they'll probably be accosted by thugs."

"Okay, if any thugs bother them, we'll go intervene, but for right now, everything looks pretty happy." Honestly, he doesn't know what Dualscar is worried about. He waves to the couple walking below them. Maybe if they look up and see Dualscar's cape billowing all dramatically, he'll be happy and they can come down off the roof.

"Hmm." Dualscar can't disagree, entirely. He sees the couple look up and wave and then point at him with what he interprets as awe and appreciation. Look at how Dualscar is protecting the city!

"Wwell, I'vve got to keep wwatch. But if you don't think it's wworth it, you're wwelcome to go home," he says archly. "I don't blame you. It's a cross I'm basically burdened to bear alone."

Yes, Dualscar is doing a very good job protecting the city, and Sufferer is sure those people are deeply grateful.

"No, I'll stay up here with you. Two pairs of eyes are better than one." He also doesn't want Dualscar getting bored and wandering off to get into shenanigans, but he doesn't say that.
