[Yukio's been in Vatheon less than a month, but he's already settled in fairly well... outwardly. Or at least that's how it seems when he's actually in the villa, which isn't all that often. Not with the two jobs he's already managed to procure to keep himself busy. Seeing him just lingering around the house is rare, but today just happens to be a rare sort of day.

Anyone who wanders outside will find Yukio on his hands and knees in the grass, carefully tending a new little patch of herbs he's just planted. Stranger than that? He's wearing a rather frilly, flowered hat. Fabulous.]

[The gardening he does not question. The hat, he does.]

What did you end up planting?

[Yukio sits up, resting on lower legs and smiling up at Shiro. He's being so productive~]

Just some Valerian. I thought I should start simple.

[paladaddy]

With you and Moriyama taking care of it, it should grow well.

[And now for the more awkward question.]

What's with the hat?

[doctor_dragoon]

[Yukio blinks in confusion for a second before he looks up at the brim of his fabulous hat. He'd forgotten it was there, honestly.]

Oh... I think someone must have thrown it out of a window. It hit me this morning and I couldn't get it off... [He glances down at his herbs, rather easily distracted by them. Come on, Yukio, be more concerned about the flowery hat that won't come off.]

I suppose I got sidetracked when I started planting.

[paladaddy]

...you couldn't get it off?

[Don't mind him, he's just going to try pulling off the hat now.]

[doctor_dragoon]

[And TA-DA, off it comes! Yukio seems even more confused for few moments before he shakes his head, taking on a perturbed sort of expression.]

... It wouldn't come off for me.

[paladaddy]

It must be part of a curse.

[He's inspecting the hat now.]

I didn't know you liked gardening hats, though.

[proudsister]

[ At some point, Yukio is going to find a shadow falling over him as Liz comes up from behind. She leans over him, hands clasped behind her back, as she tries to see what he's doing. ]

Whatcha doin' there?

[Yukio's calm enough when he turns to see who's come visiting, but he can't wide just a little bit of surprise when he realizes who it is. It's not much more than a slight widening of the eyes, but it's enough. It's Liz, the girl who says awkward things.

He recovers quickly, putting in a smile and sitting back so she can see the little patch he's been working on.]

I'm planting some herbs.

[proudsister]

[ Don't think she didn't notice that. The reaction makes her smile just a little bit, and she steps forward to crouch down next to him, wrapping her arms around her legs as she leans in. ]

Are they for cooking? Or is it medicine?

[doctor_dragoon]

[Yay, a topic of conversation that he's comfortable with!]

Medicine. Valerian possesses sedative effects.

[proudsister]

[ Liz makes a quiet hmmmmmm sound of interest. ]

...Are you having trouble sleeping?

[doctor_dragoon]

No, but it's a useful herb to have around.

[proudsister]

Aaah, I see.

[ She nods a little, trying to make sure to remember the name of the herb.

But now the real issue: ]

So. Explain the hat, then.

[doctor_dragoon]

[Aw, what's wrong with the hat?]

... It blocks the sun?

[proudsister]

[ She's just gonna grin a little at that and hum in thought. ]

It's cute.

[Damn it, Liz, stop making him awkward.]

... I just found it laying around the house.

[ Nope. ]

Well, it's definitely doing its job. Sunburns on the back of the neck are the worst.

Oh hi, Yukio, it's that doggirl witch again, hovering above the ground and staring at him.]

[Yukio turns to look at Jade, a slightly sheepish smile on his face.]

I suppose not, but it does what it's meant to do.
