Like I didn't hear the N͎͉͡O̢̥͍͍̼̣̳ͅI̗̼S̀͏̖̲͎̹E͙̱̝̳͢ͅ coming near
Who: Maka + Kid + Rin + Whoever wants to come and visit at the Clinic!
When: Backdated to yesterday on the 29th of May, after Rin's network post
Where: THE CLINIC
Style: Action is preferred but I can change if you reeeeeally want to
Status: Ongoing, scenarios are listed under the cut!
[Scenario A:
Maka wasn't doing so well when she woke up--the last image in her mind was Asura's face looming, and the sharp, horrible pain of his hands breaking through her chest to the other side.
Oh. God. She's dead. It happened, she's dead. She couldn't save Crona or stop the Kishin.
So when she wakes, she's screaming, jerking violently around in her bed until she realizes that she's no longer on the battlefield. However, that does not mean her turmoil ends. Maka pats at her chest, realizing there's no hole, no pain, no Kishin, no Kid or Black*Star.
Where?
Then the memories of Vatheon flood back into her mind, signaled by her pressing her fingers to her forehead, hissing in pain.
...Ha. Hahaha. She's been here before. She's died here before. ...Where is Kid? Where's Rin? Has she finally succumbed to insanity, why does she feel nothing but fear and uncertainty? Where is the wound?]
[Scenario B:
"It's gone, it's not there anymore" was what she was told about the wound, though Maka is still lying in her bed jittering slightly at the memory, the feeling, was it real or was it not? She has so many questions, but all there is for an answer is overwhelming silence. She should be taking comfort in this silence, but it only drives her to wishing she could scream all the more.
But Vatheon. She's back in Vatheon. She had been taken away again and brought back with memories from her world leaving her hanging on a precipice of emotion, yet there were people she loved here. There was safety. Kid and Rin were here. It's all right, everything is all right.
Yet Maka still feels like she's going crazy. The trembling halts and all she is able to do is just stare at the blank white expanse of the ceiling.]
...I want to go home. Back to the villa.
[It's only a mumble to break the silence, but one thing at a time to bring back her peace of mind is what she wants at the moment.]

...I want to go home. Back to the villa.
[It's only a mumble to break the silence, but one thing at a time to bring back her peace of mind is what she wants at the moment.]
no subject
[It's not something either of them can promise on either end of things, but he says it for much the same reason she didn't.
Gently, he pulls her close to kiss her lips lightly.]
I'm gonna go find Kid.
no subject
[Of course she will, SHE'LL WAIT LIKE FRY'S DOG.]
no subject
'kay. I'll be back soon.
no subject
But the high notes of her distress sent him hurrying back toward the room, all the more keenly aware of the alien weight of a pair of guns holstered under his arms that did not match what he remembered.
That's right. These guns were a gift.
Liz would be the big sister Maka's never had back home. Patti's laughter might have cheered her. Either way, the Thompson sisters would have been a balm they all need, but what he can do right now is be there for Maka and Rin both.
He's approaching just as Rin is exiting to search for him.]
Rin, I heard her cry out, is she alright?
no subject
no subject
... well not going anywhere at all actually, because lo and behold there is a Kid right there in the doorway.]
Geez--! ... don't scare me like that, Kid.
Yeah, she's okay now. C'mon, she wants to see you, too.
no subject
He nods without comment, and follows Rin back into the room.]
I'm relieved that you're awake, Rin has scarcely left your side since. Speaking of, haven't you rested at all?
no subject
[There's relief, of course, if she wasn't so tired and heavy-feeling, she probably would have tried to get up and hug him. But for now she stays in her bed, regarding the two of them with a mixture of relief, exhaustion and confusion.]
...I...
[No, she sees him and feels the wrenching pain all over again when she sleeps, so she turns the focus back to them.]
Have you? And what about you, Rin?
no subject
... no.
no subject
[Maka speaks, and Rin answers. All at once, Kid's manner softens with affection for them, blunting the edges of rigid formality and making less stern the manner of the young reaper; he leans over the side of the clinic bed after a moment of consideration.
He reaches for her, fingers hesitating a moment before drawing aside her fringe, having his palms settle against each cheek.]
That won't do. We'll see that remedied, won't we, Maka.
[He turns his head to regard Rin, and with a hand leaving the side of her face reaches for him, pulling him over by the arm.]
Excuse me. [As if he was being quite rude.] If you'll indulge me, I've just realized I missed this.
no subject
[Her boys.]
You're a dork, Kid.
no subject
Heh... he's our dork, though.
no subject
If you're going to call me names, the least you could do is pick one with eight letters. Or perhaps a palindrome.
no subject
[Hoo hoo hoo, he is going to get hugs though, group hugs with Rin.]
no subject
Rin passes a grin at Kid and his grumpy expression, ruffling his hair just to add insult to gentle injury.]
Nope. You're stuck with dork.
no subject
In any case--
[SUBJECT CHANGE.]
--neither of you are yourselves, and I'm inclined to believe some well-deserved rest is in order. [Rin and Maka both are given the same hard stare, but that's as much as he'll say on the matter of his concern -- for the fact that Rin's run himself ragged, and Maka's state of profound distress.]
That said, I have no intention of leaving, seeing as I've only just arrived. I assume you won't mind.
[Besides, he... really wants to keep an eye on them.]
